basically when they leave that school area they get reincarnated. So they left and got reincarnated and we see kanade and otonashi meet each other. I'm assuming they kept their memories as she's singing that one song and otonashi recognizes it

The anime was nice even Tachibana Chan is on of my favorite kuudere girls in anime verse.
the anime is cool and touching especially when they talked about their past life which was madly sad and how they all met again.
although I thought I guy said something about reincarnating as a rock or seaweed lol

it was a good ending but I would prefer if you get rid on the reincarnation scene and just had her say remember me, or something like that, while playing sad music and then cutting to the credits.
