Tenji's revenge all hinges on Yuichi's plans failing in order to secure scarring Shiho's life, man...what scum of the earth.

Shibe, regardless of his family's status, surely isn't the type to kill, but the only way to prove the bad-mouthing lie is to have evidence of it...or just trust in the "gods" audience as proof, which fails in the grand scheme of things.

Yuichi's façade parade as always been at the forefront of speculation...that is until now, where the audience aren't really the goal of expose for entertainment, but to get all 5 people to safety. The problem is: this solution is realized way too late, but that does not mean that they can still make amends to put themselves in near-perfect order to not sus out the traitor and avoid more confrontations (not to mention increasing debt).

Yuichi's strategy definitely has a big loophole, not just when the traitor Tenji decides to defect from it, but that the rules has been placed from the get-go explicitly mentioning this. The friendship is in shambles as the periods went on just like Tenji planned, but it's not over as Yuichi isn't the stupid simpleton that those watching behind the CCTVs noticed.

Shiho is bound for the end, but Yuichi can still sus out the traitor within the others, and this proves the ultimatum, taking out the game's mechanics and solely relying on their own friendship values. That's quite smart IMO, and Tenji certainly freaked out in this ordeal...because Yuichi TRULY GOT HIM.

WOW, holy mackerel, WOW. Tenji outsmarted Yuichi into thinking that he got them, but Yuichi certainly WILL NOT LET THIS PASS. The 3 traps that makes Yuichi Katagiri unique, this will truly define an insane person like him.

I'll give the series props for this - I didn't expect Tenji as the traitor to be revealed so soon. Yuuichi's manipulation of the action was operating behind the scenes all along, and even without knowing precisely what they might have been, I do think one of them was the fact that Tenji accused Shibe of writing the first lie. Shibe, at least as far as we've seen, is the most well-intentioned of the group (even if he's not the most-polite or tactful), so the idea that he would be the first to write on the cards is odd. Since Tenji baited him and called him an idiot, it cast an unflattering light on Tenji early on, which Yuuichi evidently noticed. The fact that no one else wrote on the cards in the final round indicates that Yuuichi must have communicated to them at some point what was happening (perhaps when Tenji went into the booth first in the last round), or that they all reached a similar conclusion at some point.

Another suspicion might have happened in the middle of the episode, this time pertaining to the rules of the game. Yuuichi even announced after his first version of the plan that it was not perfect, which makes the fact that Tenji was so quick to shoot it down and subsequently sabotage it all the more blatant. Coupled with his increasing desire to be close with Shiho and "no longer listen" to Yuuichi, he was making himself more closed off than someone who actually wanted to retain the friendships would be.

When Yuuichi's final plan is unveiled, Tenji once again tipped his hand by trying to somehow talk himself out of it. He panicked because Yuuichi applied his plan not only to the structure of the game, but also the entire metagame by getting the management involved. As a result, Tenji was effectively doomed no matter what he did.

LETS GOOO, we smoking that tenji pack. Finally that bum gets exposed. Yuichi went full anime genius there at the end. Really fun episode. Last few weeks had been making me pretty angry with how Tenji was just getting his way with everything and everyone, especially coming between the two girls friendship.

Death note is seinen but the original post is stupid anyway because how can a demographic not go with a genre lol.

How is it “really” shonen, that literally makes no sense. Those are just demographics and it’s a seinen. It’s published in a seinen magazine. Full stop.

If it is wrong I am sorry but myanimelist says it is shounen and the manga is published in Shounen Jump (Weekly)

This was a pretty good episode, worth the build up in the previous two.
According to the rules tho, wouldn't Shiho just lose alone now? Tenji didn't lie about being the traitor so next step would be the survey and everyone moves at least one square. Then again I guess they might just throw Tenji down there at this point lmao.

Ah yes Shounen Jump my favourite seinen magazine Death Note has always been shounen just because it's dark doesn't mean it's automatically seinin that's not how this works and just because a manga is shounen doesn't mean it can't have dark and disturbing themes. Tomodachi game is dark af the fact that it's shounen doesn't hold it back at all.

It'd be very interesting if Tomodachi Game is actually a game that fix a broken relationship, not destroy it, considering that those relationships are fake even before enter the game. And after playing the game, everyone will know the true nature of their friends, thus end up trusting them even more, just like one like to trust a known dangerous instead of trust an unknown.

Anyway, regarding the second game, I think one of the trick has a thing to do with the 3 minutes rule that you can't get out of the ballot, so you don't know if others are secretly discuss something.

So this is Group C, from the OP it look like another group is also playing, I'm interest in that group more because it has more hot guys.

im so confused man

1- why is no one other than yuichi suspect tenji as a traitor when it was so obvious from ep 2 that he was sus since all he did was saying somewhat horrible things to others.

2- are they in first year or what because Their friendships are lowkey fake considering how they reacted to some of the secrets, while i understand they are shocked but why is no one trying to smooth the situation or anything, it seems like some of them dont care lol. thats not how friends work btw

3- why is Tenji trying to ruin the friendships? yes, his main focus is on sawaragi but u couldve done it without participating tomodachi game. How dumb can u be? theres plenty of ways u could humiliate her but nooo u had to ruin others as well lol

4- why are the explanation makes me more confusing? honestly those 2 girls are annoying since all they do is just giving us expositions.

5- Why ppl saying yuichi is genius or whatever, i literally cant see it.

On a real, im not dissing the show or anything, im really confused and it will be amazing if someone help me understand this ep.

Tenji has to be one of the most pathetic characters I've ever seen in any show I've ever watched. Seeing Yuichi outwit him and expose him as the low-life traitor he is was very satisfying to see. I think this episode was a step down from the great episode last week, it was VERY dialogue heavy and a lot of it wasn't completely necessary but still a pretty good episode. Looking forward to seeing how things play out now that the traitor has been exposed.

1. I can't answer. because it's a spoiler But what I can tell you is that they are no different from Tenji.
2.They are in their sophomore year and their friendship is very thin. If you remember, in Episode 1 Yutori tells Yuichi that he is the only one he sees as a true friend. And they didn't trust each other from the beginning.
3. I can answer this question, but there are minor spoilers. In fact, he feels very guilty too for causing trouble to his 3 other friends who are not related to anything. But his resentment was so intense that he wanted to destroy everything related to Chiho. I won't spoil what Chiho did to Tenji. But you try to notice the song ed of this story. You will find out what Tenji encountered.
4. That's the disadvantage of manga too. I agree and have nothing to say on this question. If they don't talk too much Maybe the manga's ratings are higher than it is. Currently, the manga has a rating of 8.24/10.
5. He's not just a genius, but he's a psychopathic demon. He will begin to reveal his true elements after the 6th episode in the anime. Now, he hasn't shown his true potential because of pity for his friends. You look at the number of Yuichi's favorites. It's more than the other characters in tomodachi game clearly and will increase more and more. If you don't like anime I recommend you to read the manga and you will know how Yuichi is different from other mc.

1. They can suspect him but with no clear evidence that all they can do. The reason why everyone went along with MC near the end is because at that point it's clear Tenji is 'the one' and not everyone else.
4. So, that you know which details you should focus on to see the' hints'
5. The reveal of his '3 traps' will be your answer, and it will also explain what your doubt in your first question.

1. Shibe is dumb. Yutori is a wuss. Sawaragi trusts her friends a lot. Tenji just took advantage of this. Yuuichi was shown to be a silent guy in the beginning. So we can say that he tends to avoid trouble, hence Tenji can't find his weakness.

2. Just refer point 1. They are in first year i guess because nobody knows much about each other. Heck If I were to play this game with my best friend whom I have known for more than 10 years, I'll just spill all his secrets out and I am pretty sure the bastard would do the same to me.

3. Because Sawaragi's dad is a cop. He'll get into trouble if he messed with her. So his strategy was simple. Get 5 people into Tomodachi game including Sawaragi, Try to make it look like there is an anonymous traitor, and put all the debt on her head. He tried to ruin their friendship to make it look like the traitor is trying to spark an infighting.

4. Well, I dont have anything to comment on that. I think it's just your personal opinion.

5. this picture below is a hint. It has one of the "3 traps" that Yuuichi laid to catch Tenji's treachery.

3 - Wait for next ep, there's a reasonable and satisfactory answer for that.

I've been trying to be positive for the past 5 weeks regarding this show, but I think this episode really seals the deal--despite its potential, this show is setting itself up to be the Platinum End of the season. When a studio puts out generic isekai #620,439,201, nobody really expects that to be an actually good show--we can all watch it with the expectation that it's not going to be anything groundbreaking. But when a show's inherent value is predicated on plot and social commentary, it NEEDS to be solid.

This seemingly had so much potential (and maybe the manga is better), but this show is so empty once you actually get past the veneer of the Philosophy 101 problems it poses. It just hasn't done a very good job of getting a viewer over the age of 21 emotionally invested, and the "gotcha!" moments Yuuichi has aren't very convincing, either. It's a pretty vapid, illiterate show with only the external trappings of being some sort of "gritty, deep probe" into the "true nature of humanity."

Which, of course, wouldn't necessarily be bad--not all shows have to have some life-changing plot. But plot is the only thing this show has, and at least right now, it's not providing. Let's hope it gets more convincing in later episodes.

I'm partial to these kind of mind game stories even when they're not well executed, lol, there's something viscerally satisfying about Yuichi effectively trapping that snake.

It's worth noting there's two times, once last episode, and then this episode when it seemed like a point was being made that Tenji couldn't hear what was going on outside when he was in the booth, and something changed dramatically. The first time, the situation escalated, and I'm wondering if that was part of Yuichi's plan too. Tenji didn't expect things to progress that quickly, but on the surface it benefitted him, so he rolled with it. However, he may have overplayed his hand in doing so, falling into Yuichi's trap.

Him objecting to Yuichi's plans could be considered sus, but I don't think it mattered because Yuichi had Tenji dead to rights REALLY EARLY. He was always the most likely anyway because of the others, only Sawatori is intelligent enough to execute something like this. but in this circumstance, it couldn't be her, because the badmouthing put her at such a massive disadvantage there's no way she'd do it to herself. Yuichi could probably proceed under the reasonable assumption it was probably Tenji and act accordingly. And because everyone else sees him as mild mannnered and well intentioned, Yuichi could effectively manipulate the rest of them when Tenji wasn't present, hence the strategic, lethal use of the time when Tenji was in the badmouthing closet. Yuichi's greatest asset going into this was that none of his friends understood him at all. Which like much in this story calls into serious question how close any of them are. They never felt like truly close friends, like that any of them would keep in touch after high school. Especially considering that although the girls both like Yuichi, he doesn't seem to have any particular romantic interest. I think we'd know by now if he really felt that way about either of them.

Given what we've seen so far, these are shallow friendships between people who only know each other's surface level persona. Even Tenji, despite all the secrets he has, hasn't really bothered to understand his friends. With Yuichi that bit him in the ass, hard. Last episode in his monologue he described Yuichi as basically nice, harmless. so, uh how is that working out, buddy? Anyway, this game exposes their inner darkness, but I would kind of argue that true, close friends know about each other's worst tendencies and accept them. Most friendships are unfortunately shallow relationships of convenience where neither party really understands the other, and this twisted game exposes the weakness of those kind of friendships. If Yuichi's goal is to save their friendship, then the best thing to do is drag all their dirty secrets and their worst tendencies into the light, expose them, and then everyone can decide for themselves if they want to remain friends. But doing that is going to be a brutal, cruel task. And they'll learn that underneath his friendly exterior he's a damned monster, too. But he knows who he is, and if the rest of them can get off their high horses, I think, though unlikely, some of them could come out of this game as real friends. Or not? Maybe this just devolves into pure cutthroat, every person for themselves crabs in a barrel.

It's hard to engage with this show since there was no character building before we jumped into the game and so far nothing has made me feel any tension or excitement since I don't care about any of these characters, which is made worse when we're stuck in Tenji's perspective. I guess some might grow on me as we watch their struggles but so far this feels like a better thing to read than watch cause the pacing on this without feeling engage makes me want to fall asleep.

That said I'm interested in the end of this game next episode and to see how things play out.

very true. they really just gave each of the main characters an exposition card and didn't bother characterizing them or their relationships in any meaningful way, and then expected the audience to gaf. even if it gets good later in the manga which I seriously doubt, as a story about the strength of friendship (or lack thereof), it majorly handicapped itself by failing to establish the whole damn friend group outside of the game.

See there is a difference between Platinum End anime and this anime...Difference is that Platinum End manga itself was below average/bad whereas Tomodachi manga is very good, hence Tomodachi anime will eventually be better than Platinum end.. Although Tomodachi anime has pretty bad animation considering such good manga

This shit is handmade for young teens, anybody with a modicum of intelligence would find this fucking dumb. At least that gaslighting, cringe inducing clown, finally got what was coming to him. The only thing I find entertaining about this crap are the edgy psychopathic menacing looks from the characters every now and then, a good laugh...

I genuinely thought Tenji was going to bullshit his way out of that one lol.

I didn't expect the rest of them to leave their cards blank - though that may be due to my lack of attention.
