| They're so many more that are probably more universally loved than her. The likes of Sakurajima Mai from Bunny girl senpai, Rem, Makise Kurisu just to name a few probably fit that title a lot more. There's really not a lot to complain about those characters but with Marin people can be a little bit picky because of the way she's written. It feels like she's a character written mainly for the purpose of getting fanboys and fangirls off their seats in shock and some people don't like that. |

| Not everyone watch anime weekly, some prefer to binge it 2-3 days before or after the last episode. Wait for ~1 week and observe to see if any haters start appearing. As for me, super energetic girl has never been my fav. Most of my fav female characters are on the calm, chill, and comfy side, but also not on the super shy type like Komi-san. Basically, anyone that can talk normally when needed without any awkward moments, but also know when to stop talking and just observe or do something that suit the situation. If I must give some example; Rin from Yuru Camp, Chiito from Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, Suzu from Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni, etc. |

| No lmao she’s just the waifu of the season. And big youtubers will push Marin and whatever anime trend because that’s how they put food on the table. Examples of long term popular waifus are asuka/rei, kallen/cc etc. Obviously none of them are universally loved |

| A good character for me but nothing more. I even liked her during the series (maybe because of my gyaru fetish) but fortunately she is not like the characters that it is impossible not to like e.g. Joseph Joestar from JoJo or Rem from Re:Zero. If the anime doesn't get 2 season the girl will be forgotten like Onodera and Kirisaki from Nisekoi. |

| Just cos they show excessive amounts of skin and look good cos of the several tonnes of makeup doesn’t mean they’re universally loved ๐คฎ๐คฎ most overrated Mac of recent times and possibly ever Plus as a character she’s pretty damn bland and 2D and that’s more important. It’s easy to create a good looking character, but much harder to make a well written one, this is a prime example |
