| I pretty much tend to agree with Grave of the Fireflies being Ghibli's best, but it's hard not to have spirited away number 1, it's tough, easily the best 2 to me. Id go... 1. Spirited Away 2. Grave of the Fireflies 3. Nausica of the Valley of the Wind Nausica technically isn't Ghibli, but it basically is, I think it tells a similar story to Princess Mononoke and does it a bit better. |
| Haven't watched all of them, including some of the most promising ones like Spirited Away (actually we did watch it in art class in 6th or 7th grade but I don't remember much) and Kaguya-hime, but so far this one is my favorite too. | My top 3 would probably be Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, and Whisper of the Heart. I do remember watching Spirited Away when I was young. Probably the first anime that I've ever watched and I was in awe. It was probably the reason I've loved anime until now. |

| For me: 1) Spirited Away 2) Grave of the Fireflies 3) Kiki's Delivery Service I gotta rope my girlfriend into watching Grave of the Fireflies with me. She avoids it like the plague because of how sad the premise sounds but she's missing out big time lmao Barefoot Gen's also a really good post WW2 animated movie, albeit being a lot more graphic at some parts. |
