Worth the watch?

I haven’t watched the first season yet but this anime seems to be one of the more anticipated ones next season and I wonder if it’s worth the watch. I usually like seasonals but seeing the first season having 6.65 makes me a bit sceptical about this anime. Is it your generic isekai with the mc having a harem and the budget being put on the boobs or is there something special about this anime? Also for the manga/ln readers, is season two worth the watch if season one wasn’t anything special?

It’s… different. There are many generic aspects, but it does try to be different. I honestly thought the world was interesting enough to make me read the light novels, so I’m quite excited.

I’d say you should watch the second season if you enjoyed the characters or the story. The animation in the first season was terrible, and it seems like it’ll be better this time, but don’t expect much

Yes. It is generic in that there is a shameless harem and the MC is super OP. Also the CGI at times is not good.

What makes it enjoyable is the way the Mc gains his power, the betrayal he goes through and how it changes him. He’s an edgy MC who hates everyone, but I actually like that better than the blank slate self-insert we usually get

It's pretty generic, has plain characters, has bad pacing and the CGI in Season 1 is awful. There's really nothing special about it at all.

6.65 is actually decent. It is between fine and good so it won’t be that bad on paper. But imo, i’d rate in a 4, it was boring and weird at times. There were many aspects that just weren’t good and that’s why i won’t be watching s2. Give it a go though.

It is cliche with the harem, but the harem is built slowly and each character has semi decent back story. Also before I get deeper into explaining gonna warn I may be slightly biased. The mc does have an interesting character development as you will see if you watch the first 15 minutes of the first episode. The characters are developed mentally as the plot is and actually discover more abilities slowy unlike most isekai harem oo look you died sucks man hes instant kill on kinder de toten and a bitch with double d's. It takes some time to develop the character and give each of the characters a semi meaningful tie to the show

As far as generic Isekai goes, this one would be very good if not for utterly botched adaptation.
I hope 2nd season will be better.

Haven't watched it but I heard it's your typical bad isekai and from the clips i've seen and the things i've heard it isn't anything special. I will still watch tho for my curiosity and just cuz it's bad doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

I'd say the anime is horrible, but the LN is quite decent, since the LN means latent potential, maybe some people are hoping for a miracle in second season?

It has A LOT of flaws, I mean A LOT. But I would be lying if I said the first season didn’t entertain me. If you’re and isekai fan and a sucker for these type of plots I’d give it a try.

The first season was so bad, it was good again. When you watched more then 2 isekai Anime in your life you can predict the whole anime. I guess its so anticipated because everyone wants to see the dumpster fire burning again

That's up to you, I mean I dropped it after the first episode, and seeing that they screwed the pooch with the adaptation.. I had no regrets. If I see people calling this the sleeper hit of the season maybe I'll reconsider

Aight so my opinion on this would be, it's generic yet not generic, it seems generic from the outside but when you start exploring the content you quickly realize that the world is actually much more detailed than it looks like, from gods to the war in the past generation, the lore comes around piece by piece, and then you realise how everything falls into place, the character development for our mc is much more detailed in the LN compared to the anime, but the anime gives it a decent part.
For the other characters, the anime has semi decent backstories and char development, but just following around our mc is just worth watching this since he is just too edgy and how he treats most other people like insects.
Overall I would say give it 6 eps at the very least and if you don't like it drop it. Tho the cgi is super bad, so bad that it's almost laughable

Mate, to think one would ask if a sequel is good when you have yet to watch the prequel?! lmao

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

The only singular reason I followed this anime was because Hajime your typical OP Isekai MC that you would think to be a goody ass two shoes just shot everyone in the face instead, Random asshole? bullet to the face, Demon lady with a happy family? bullet to the face, and of course that one episode with his brainwashed classmate (one of my favorite moments) it's pretty great in my opinion. I think the only reason people don't like it much was because it relies so much on these trashy dollar shop ass bollywood CGs it's freakin terrible

Not necessarily. Halfway through it switched from being an edgier, poorly paced shield hero with horrendous visuals and a "romance" such as it was, to being a generic "comedic" harem show. I was able to somewhat enjoy it for what it was up until that switch (and dropped it like a hot potato shortly after) but anyone who is a fan of or can tolerate trashy harem antics might find this series watchable.

The first episode was rushed and vague about anything other than MC's rise. Even the intro didn't really hint much at harem. MAL tag's aren't always accurate (Yamada-kun a harem? Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha NOT a harem?) and the first 5 episodes can trick a person into thinking it's not.

I'm not gonna lie, in a world where a gem like Mushoku Tensei exists you should check that out before watching this one. I didn't watch the first season but I did read the light novels. It's entertaining popcorn entertainment, but theres better isekais out there

The MC's cynical anti-hero attitude and preference to kill all his enemies execution style makes this worth watching despite the sloppy animation and odd mistakes in the early episodes.

The first season was poorly made imo.
The story is quite alright kinda generic but tries to do things differently from the mold.
I recommend the LN if you just want the story.

If you enjoy an OP MC and a harem with cute/voluptuous girls go watch it if you don't, just skip it.

The story is good, the art could beter.
You need to overlook the bad CGI.
I realy loved Shia Haulia(the blue haired bunny girl)
Overall i think this is worth your time, and I'm definitely going to watch season 2.

I'm usually fine with Isekais but I dropped S1 halfway through, my memory of this is vague, I remember it seemed somewhat interesting at first but MC was too edgy, it had a lot of CGI where we're watching MC just grind, and the Harem is pointless when he's glued to a loli vampire, I think that's why I dropped it, I found their relationship too cringey and later I remember the story felt like it's going to random places almost like a filler instead of actual progress, only thing I'm certain of is that I had a moment of "I'm not watching anymore of this **it

Until what arc will they cover the 2 season of arifureta? And Do they even reach the attack of the demons on the Kingdom of Heiligh and the betrayal of eri and Hiyama in addition to the death of kaori at the hands of Hiyama and her resurrection at the hands of hajime, etc ..?

This, so much this, it's so utterly trash to the point where I can't emphasize just how garbage it is. I'm not even talking about the CGI here, I'm talking story, characters, direction and others, only the first 3 episodes were barely watchable from season 1 and after that it puts Redo of Healer to shame by how trash it becomes. Little edit : I don't like this anime, I absolutely hate it to the bone.

It is worth the watch. The MC is edgy and the comedy is generic. Despite all that the anime has great moments. It'll fly by as you're watching it.
