I might be biased but I just find the main character's voice really annoying for some reason. It just doesn't fit with the character.

Yes Yes absolutely yes...i thought it was just me...mc voice don't suite him(sound too feminine).Also that annoying robotic type effect on voice when he's talking to himself.

I truthfully don't care about this issue.

Which is it such a problem frequently brought up by so many people? Yeah, it's not my favorite voice or voice acting role in the world, but is it really that big of a deal? This anime has far bigger problems than that.

Just wanted to make sure that it wasn't just me who was getting annoyed. And after watching the last episode, I can confirm that the only time I found it annoying is when the pitch is high. It feels too forced. It wasn't annoying when he spoke normally but when expressing anything, it just annoyed the hell outta me.

It's distracting and ruins immersion, especially when he's shouting. Tho I would say it's more of a personal problem.

Yep. I really don't like the "Let's pick a female VA for a male character" deal unless maybe they are like 10. If the kid is 14-15 and his voice absolutely could or should be matured there isn't a reason (imo) to have a girl do the VA. She's not a bad VA I just would rather a male VA be playing him. They did it for Boruto too and I Haaaaate the VA for him lol, especially in dub it's a really bad girl doing a boy voice. But I am really liking the Anime otherwise, especially this episode (although I miss his parents being around)

Idk i haven't heard his voice in a while cause I watch the episodes during school which is basically the only way I'm able to watch the show cause it is so much better in my opinion

The opposite of me. I actually really like his voice, and sometimes in some episodes, I purposely repeat a scene just to hear his voice. His voice sounds a bit like Hinata in Haikyuu, and at first I thought they had the same voice actor lol. But, despite all that, I really appreciate her good job at voice acting.

Puberty hits you when you are 13,14 even Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha guy got his male voice actor as he hit puberty, it's just little bothersome to watch main male mc with female voice actor, exception probably the slime guy but at first I was very annoyed about it too but got used to it since the VA matches the mc, well what I mean is I just can't take it seriously when they use female VA's for male mc.

It was fitting when Will was a child but now still it sounds a bit weird. I got used to it though. There are worse candidates.

Agreed, MC voice is noticeably female and generally inappropriate / forced for this male role...>_<!

Sounds like creepy "catfishing" ... pretending to be a male... actually THINKING first... between every word...instead of speaking normally as a male MC. Some of the dialog seems muddled and corrupted as a result.

This is possibly poor director choices for MC VA male role or they though they could "lean into the distress nature of this anime" by making it a "confused male" MC ... using female VA... o_O??

Sadly overall, this anime has good potential. But the general depressing diatribe, the wimpy/whinny dialog, coupled with feminine MC voice ... do not help.

Finally casting decision that's unclear if original author intended this way or the animator directors just did not care or could not actually pay/hire a male MC voice actor instead.

So, forcing myself to watch and cringe ...but may drop if second season is not corrected properly.

I like the female voice they gave him. He didn't exactly seem manly at all until he turned fifteen anyway.
