| Then what got you interested in checking it out? As for me a lot of factors. I never planned on watching this since I am really not a fan of IDOL type anime cause I despise the theme, the girly drama vibes it gives and I am just not a fan of idols be it in 2D or real life. Now as for how this hooked me in, a co-worker of mine was playing the song ’’Only One Yell’’ and the song friggin vibed me so I asked her where its from, she then told me about the anime so I went and checked it out, and to my surprise the character designer of the anime was the same person that did KanoKari, an anime I really wanted to watch cause of the seiyuus and the art design, so yet another reason for me to give it a go (I love the artstyle but hated KanoKari way too much to watch it, yes even the top tier seiyuus and amazing art couldnt get me to sit through that shit, makes me cringe too much) Another reason is the studio, I love Doga Kobo so much but the last show I watched made by them was horrendous (OsaMake) so I wanted that bad taste to leave my mouth, I didnt expect the one that would do so would be an IDOL anime that I had no interest in tbh. And lastly its not the usual group being a group but more like a tournament type that some will get kicked out, while there is a chance that this is a facade and its actually just building them to become an IDOL GROUP in disguise, I still wont regret watching it due to the other factors that I mentioned above. I also like the directing, the intro captivated me with how Hayami Saori’s character was singing her debut song, I cannot wait for Hayami Saori’s full version of Only One Yell and maybe if God is being generous, Hayamin B.B ver too. TL;DR what got me into this were the -Songs -Character design -Studio -Tournament type setting -Characters feel like actual characters and not just there to be cute, or maybe all IDOL anime are like this, I just didnt pay much attention to them back then? I am also pleasantly surprised with the seiyuu cast performance despite being most of them new to the industry. So what about you guys whom are also new to IDOL anime that recently got into it? Also do you still plan on watching future IDOL anime? As for me.. probably not. This was an exception due to aligning circumstances for me. |

| I first thought that the title is more like a "futuristic military mission." But then, it is more of a search for a pop idol that will define this current generation. Slow start, kinda fuzzy, but then going good so far. Expecting more of this. |

| Pretty rhythm: practically a battle shonen for its 1st 2 seasons. S3 was less fate of the world, more moe sol. Madoka films: again more action save the world than "idol" Bangdream was bad for s1. Got better with later bcz new char intro. But still. I may have mixed maho shojo with idol shojo. Tokyo revengers, iruma chii & mha all were weekly and I was watching them. I don't generally go for currently airing. Two of them are on a legit free streaming, and after they ended, that channel had few other new ongoing shows. This one's ep1 popped up and I liked it so am watching it now. |
| I mean, everything outside of the Tournament Setting is stuff that's the main draw for any and all idol anime, so I'd highly advise reconsidering your choice to not continue with the genre. |
