I am surprised no one actually mentioned this and was also concerned the studio would not catch this subtle hint thrown in here by oda. So could it be that the evil witch who inistigated the Kozuki rebellion and to throw the wano kingdom in utter chaos could be a member of the ROX or perhaps some one who knew ROX? Very interesting. Also whats more interesting is that this plan was set in place long before Kaido even shown up at Wano. Could this be an even deeper orchestrated plot, only time will tell. |

| The Orochi part of the episode lasted way too long. I mean it was expected, but still I thought that the episode writer could've paced things differently to make the first 15 minutes of the episode less monotonous. The episode was hyped to be about Roger and Whitebeard clashing, yet that only happened in the last minute of the episode and while the animation was amazing, I think I'm more excited about next week's episode since I prefer world-building and lore over clashes. |

I actually think that's what they were going for with the whole pacing thing. Leaving Whitebeard vs Roger as a cliffhanger (we won't have an episode next week so it'll be an extra wait), would generate a lot of excitement and a lot of people looking forward to the return for the extra wait compared if they just showed the whole battle. And yeah, I'm really excited for the next few episodes and hoping they don't disappoint. |

| Well, I am a little late this time, but The clash between Whitebeard and Roger aaaaaaaaaaaaaa great af! Totally lived up, showing the impact of them clashing aswell. Also got to know more about Orochi, and how he got his devil fruit.. but, did we see that old lady transform into a young Shiki? |

| I can't believe I finally caught up after a decade of putting off the anime. It's interesting to see the art and animation improve over time, as well as seeing lingering plot threads connect from way early in the series. It's interesting to see more and more of Roger, as his background and history have been kept secret for the longest time. I'm also guessing that since Toki lived centuries ago, she might know of the Void Century or something to that effect. One Piece seems to keep a lot of its secrets in its in-universe history, making Robin's role as an archaeologist even more important going forward. I'd be interested to see her take a more active role in the plot, as I know there will be bombshell revelations in the future that would require her expertise. Though, for now, I'm exhausted from this arduous marathon, so hopefully I can do another marathon when One Piece gets closer to finishing. Eventually. |
Oh that's unfortunate; looks like the pacing is really gonna slow down which is a shame since the pacing of the flashback has been pretty good so far. I honestly thought that they'd be able to fit "the last island" bit into 967. :[ |

But overall this episode was good. The next one is kind of a let down, but still good. I mean.. it was never stated that the shanks eye thing happened during that specific fight. |

| Woah, the first time we saw Roger fighting... seems like a combination of haki and swordsmanship, so pretty similar to Mihawk I guess. Next episode should be great. |

| Orochi, and that person with the devil fruit to change her appearance, how interesting cause that fruit already appeared in the series. Is not Sukiyaki’s fault what happened, the guy from the Kurozumi Family poisoned his rivals, wtf. Originally, I thought that Oden was very strong, compared to Whitebeard and Roger, they’re in a completely different level, he looks weak compared to them, but rushed to your opponent is not a smart strategy, maybe he needs more education in fighting cause he seems like brute force, he doesn’t think about it, like many characters from the present, hahahahahha. |
