As a current hockey player, if there arent fights its not hockey, fights are a critical part of the game.

Hockey is basically boxing on ice, so if they want to make this sport justice and present it accordingly, it should be included.

On one hand I wish they would include them because that would turn out awesome. On the other hand I wouldn't mind if they don't include them because that would turn out wholesome. Either case it's win. But given that it's C2C it might be included.

Although, it sounds like the anime starts with them going to a game on a team clearly based on the Nikko IceBucks, and there is some fighting in the ALIH so you might see it there.

Even though it's a sports anime focusing on hockey, character design and the fact it's girls I feel like it's another MOÉ anime so probably not

There's a saying that goes "I went to a boxing match and a hockey game broke out". Fighting's a big part of the sport. But I'm not going to get my hopes up. I'm just glad there's a hockey anime coming out, and I'm satisfied with that.

Nor do you see women fight in the WNHL. Anybody hoping for fights in this anime are destined for disappointment.

And honestly, I'd rather a hockey anime focus on the things that really make hockey an amazing sport--the evolving, dynamic strategies, the fast pace, the amazing skill of talented forwards, the subtle positioning intelligence of defensemen--rather than fights. Even in the NHL, fighting has been declining in recent years and the days of goons and enforcers are over. Give me an anime that focuses on talents akin to those of Connor McDavid and Marie-Philip Poulin, not Marty McSorley and Bobby Probert.

Women's hockey does not condone fighting at all. There won't be any... probably.
Most women's hockey doesn't even allow bodychecks, although bumping into each other is ok.

Still? I hope this turns out well! They'll need a few more than seven players though! 😮

there is no fighting in women hockey and no hit either.

And there is almost no more fighting in hockey.

I don’t think so, the worst thing you can do if you want to promote hockey is make it sound scary lol.

People just need to realize this wasn’t made for a hockey market, because Japan isn’t a hockey market lmao. This is like an introduction to hockey so yeah there might be some accidental contact for drama reasons but overall it’ll probably just show the fun as pedí of hockey which I’m all for, hopefully this actually helps make hockey a bit more popular in Japan and the anime industry.

I know it’s a year late, but… really guys? Seriously, you all need to calm tf down. I’m highly certain that the majority of these people are only being semi-serious about wanting fight scenes in this show. The amount of real “hockey fight expectants” here from airing till now are way fewer than a lot of you guys seem to think.

when i played hockey we had to have full face masks because of rules for under 18 y/o and we just threw our helmets and gloves off and started smacking eachother in the head
