| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Never underestimate someone like Lyserg in this show. He seems like the type of guy that you wouldn't know what hit you before it's too late. Not going to lie, I think this episode was thrilling especially with how Lyserg grew up to who he is now in the present day. That feeling of vengeance says it all. |

| Well Lyserg has finally shown up but more importantly than that, we got a new ending and for some reason the whole thing is Jeanne focused which is very interesting. Hopefully this means they'll give her story proper time and attention which it definitely needs since it's one of the best parts of this series. I'll definitely take it as a positive sign. |

| Lyserg seems really cool. Seems like he had a nice childhood somewhat though his father pushes him to give heights to his power. Though both of his parents were killed by Hao just because they will not join him. What the heck?! Sheesh what a jerk. Lyserg had to be beaten by Yoh to realize something, and believes there is a connection to Yoh and Hao. Which ironically he is not wrong on that... Looks like we are going to get some secrets of Hao and the Asakura Family. |
| Lyserg the Avenger, another to add to the ally numbers of Yoh and Co. Horohoro, Tao and Ryu are indeed suspicious when it comes to new people, and Lyserg is one of the many that will come their way. But it turns out that Lyserg's reason to have allies...is the same as the rest: to defeat Hao and his Over Soul. Even with all that pent-up revenge, it's not enough to defeat Yoh, Amidamaru, and the power of friendship lols. It'll take more to understand what's going on progressively, and indeed the seeds of hatred have been founded: the great need to defeat the Asakura founder Hao. New ED and it's just as good as the rest. |

| Just as I thought. As we hit the point where the 2001 anime started to deviate, the pacing starts to get better. There are a couple of moments in this episode I wish they hadn't left out, but they're all small stuff. Interesting that Jeanne is the focus of the new ED. I figured it'd be a little while before her introduction, but now I'm not sure. |
| Hao really out here murdering parents as a child. We got introduced to Lyserg the Avenger, his wire power is pretty cool, that fucking Big Ben had me shook. Yoh is even more cool this episode, he's like chill and at the same time he has no chill lmao. That ending scene with Anna is really interesting, the secrets of the Asakura family and their mission. We also got a new ED, it's really good. I am assuming this gonna be like Hunter X Hunter where the OP doesn't change lmao, maybe the visuals will down the line. |

| Lyserg is definitely an interesting character. The pacing feels a lot smoother compared to the early stages of this series and it's nice seeing I wonder how well he'll fit in with the group. Also, new ending wasn't bad. I do prefer the first one though |

| They are setting up the fight between Hao and Yoh nicely (the opening). I still get the old feeling from watching this and it's good. Can't wait to see the secret next episode. |

Here, Horo was like "huh, you wanna fight, you wanna fight?!" so Lyserg had to fight with them and Yoh is acting like it was him who attacked them first. How about telling your friends to not get angry and attack random people, just because they ask if they can join your group? Ugh. |

| While the overall pace in this episode was fine, Lyserg past story was rushed, and Yoh vs Lyserg was kind of undefiled. I didn't understood quite exactly what was Yoh's last move there. There's clearly overall low budget production here, the animation is awful. Somehow it didn't ruined much this episode, but I can see clearly how it will ruin more action packed ones. The ending wasn't good as previous one to my taste, but that character seems interesting enough to me. |
| Aaah, I'd remember Lyserg first introduction episode in the old version one. Ryu shocked after knowing Lyserg's a boy and asked him to enter the other room to check if he's a real boy.... Look's like Ryu still love him even knowing he's a guy.... Ryu is such a bisexual.... |
