Heh, Sawa and Rinko's relationship isn't very friendly, at least compared to her relationship with Asahi.

Sawa realizes she has nowhere to belong but wants to take care of unfinished business. I seems at this point, she doesn't have a true purpose in her life but still intent on finishing what she started. Rinko is so different compared to Sawa tbh, being much more open about her thoughts and saying what's on her mind.

Looks like there's also a terrorist incident that took on the train this episode. Rinko is quite dangerous when she wants to be.

The final Book 3: Revolution to Change the World

Janome's drug that Tsukishiro was planning for an anti-government revolt, Jin's resolution to settle the score of Sawa's family while being a government dog, and most importantly, Sawa's sanity.

Of all times when we get another Nue Executioner character (Rinko) to secretly keep Sawa under surveillance, Sawa has nowhere to go now, and certainly nowhere to hide, having lost everything: her clan used for experimental gunea pigs, and the innocent Asahi.

Using the Karasumori's blue blood as the final tool of revolt of heightened powers, Jin conspicuously threw his own humanity away to do a sub-serviant job for the Tokugawa government, what an ass. Getting to know Sawa's clan history is part of the equation, this is an obvious revenge plot to the death.

A train hijacking from anti-government rebels, what a situation to be held hostage in, and Rinko does the execution job with no issue and in full brutality while being drunk, what an artificial character.

Change the world the way you see fit, with Tsukishiro's final message and the impending doom in Tokyo of Jin being a traitor to the entire operation.

Kuzuhara is going back to Tokyo and he wants Yuki's help in saving one last matter. Yuki just found out from this Rinko girl that they were under surveillance this whole time which was actually for their protection that couldn't even protect Asahi.

Yuki went back to Tokyo and Rinko is tagging along with her. Quite a heavy drinker she is. The score involving the Karasumori blood hasn't been settled yet. And, she's going to settle it once and for all. She has her plans ready after all this.

Rinko is such a badass I gotta say. She took down all three of them so quickly and it was so gruesome. If what she was saying is true, she must've been through a lot, a literal hell how she explained it.

Fuck man I was hoping that it was some type of visual illusion with Asahi’s death. I guess she’s really gone :( A happy ending was never in the cards for she and Sawa. Lots happened today with the blue drug though. Looks like Jin threw away his own humanity for his plan.

Rinko is an interesting character. Put your metal in me plz mami.

Wonder what was in the book, I’d imagine some type of details as to Jin’s plan, but we’ll have to wait and see. Looking forward to the last few eps

I thought this was one of the best episodes so far. I think the character development of Sawa and Jin is getting quite deep. I think this series is just getting better and better once you get past the first four episodes or so.

Remember when this anime was about a young woman wanting revenge? The production team seems to have forgotten.

This anime started out very bad. Rushed, poor characters, mediocre and boring plot etc., but from episode 5 and on, there is actually some development going on. It has genuinely made feel bad for Asahi, despite how obvious of a death flag she had from the start (and, in that sense, I would rather the author doing something different and surprising, but meh, it's ok), and there are some compelling elements about waiting to see how the conflicts between characters will unfold. However, if Sawa is just going to seek vengence again and, possibly, commit another mistake on how she is interpreting things (like Jin being actually a fair guy and she not realizing it), it'll get repetitive.

You realize she set out for revenge yet again in this very episode, though? You seem to be sleeping on the plot.

That's probably right as I stopped paying attention at most stuff once Tsukishiro killed Asahi. What roped me in was the initial premise and I want to see how it ends, but I'm barely taking it seriously now. It plays like a Hollywood action movie at times and it gets annoying.

The drunk new character, although not actually new, is okay enough, but we have the same problem that the show's been struggling with for the last four episodes. Sawa's aimless, drifting, and just being dragged along, not a master of her fate or even engaging with the world in any way. There's some conspiracy going on about using her blood to create an unstoppable army of monsters, and the various people getting high off it, but that's where we've been since about episode 2, and the only thing that indicates we've been getting any closer to resolving it is that the episode count is starting to run out.

So we have half the episode that's just Sawa going to her deserted village wreck, and then she leaves again. At this point, we realize that not much has happened in the episode, so some random train hijackers spawn out of nowhere for Rinko to knife because apparently she's a particularly gregarious Lady Deathstrike, full of special magical metal. And then she poofs out of the episode again? Okay, I guess she'll be a miniboss for later or something. Glad she explained her entire backstory to some random hijackers. How else were we going to work it in?

The only part I enjoyed was Rinko killing off those insurgents.

Other than that I don't know where exactly the show is headed towards. I feel like we're still clouded with the mystery as in the very early episodes.

The plot is a shambles of different directions with no real guiding principle.

We've only seen the true Rinko for like half an episode but, I already really like her. Kinda weird she just disappeared though when Sawa got to Tokyo lmao. Was pretty sad when Sawa was remembering Asahi in the bookstore, yeah I miss her too. Damn, so Tsukishiro made one final revelation to Sawa, based on those scars or something, it wasn't Janome that killed the Karasumori clan, but it was Jin. Still don't really know what Jin's goals are. Well, let's see what Book 3 has to offer us, good episode.

Haven't you seen the snake tattoo on his back, he was the one who slaughtered her clan, not Janome.

I got the vibe we were supposed to be viewing him negatively for at least a few episodes before this but never fully understood why. The snake tattoo is really awful, obviously but I've no clue what his motives are at this point since he's been so helpful and all

The narrative for this anime has been a mess for pretty much this entire time. Things happen and none of it feels significant or has any impact.

It doesn’t help that Yuki is a very weak character that constantly has decisions made for her, sulks all the time, and never seems to have any drive outside of her wishy-washy “revenge”.

Interesting that they introduced a new character (for all intents and purposes) with 4 episodes left in the anime. She seems solid enough, but I would like to know how exactly she can manipulate those blades.

(English) Sawa now faces the difficulty of returning to Tokyo, but she overcomes her insecurity and returns with Rinko to her homeland, where the Yukimaru clan inhabited.
In Tokyo, she again meets Jin Kuzuhara and it is revealed that he has the same mark as Janome, but his back. A great twist and that could change the fate of the anime.

One hell of a plottwist at the end with Jin having the snake tattoo on his back meaning it wasn't Janome who was behind the clan slaughter.

Huh...
So Jin was the villain all along?mThis is getting a bit rushed, and also confusing.
Yes, Janome didn't get as developed as one would have wanted, and was pretty much forgot about afterwards.
This series had a good premise, but a very short running time.
Don't think it can go beyond a 7.5, but that doesn't mean it's not good.

Yea this series is kind of interesting because the plot seriously changes by the end of each episode. So now Jin has the same mark on his back as Janome did sooo… does that mean that there’s a possibility that it wasn’t Janome who murdered her family? I thought we deviated from the revenge plot line but maybe this is their way of coming back to it.
It’s pretty pointless to expect stuff from this show cause the writing really keeps you on your toes. I know that sounds like a good thing, but it’s mainly due to the lack of consistency in the characters actions and plot. I don’t hate this show though. I’m just curious at this point, even if the story has gotten very convoluted at this point.
