So In SAO season 1 we come across Sugou Nobuyuki who I thought had a likeable personality but turned out to be a complete psycopath. In SAO season 2, Shinkawa Kyouji for whom I also thought had a likeable personality but also turned out to be a complete psychopath. In SAO ordinal scale movie Nochizawa Eiji who seemed like a badass character at the start also kinda turned out to be a psychopath.
In SAO Alicization we again meet two psychopaths namely, Raios Antinous and Humbert zizek. So I was wondering what's the deal with SAO franchise to bestow on us with atleast one psychopath every season ;-;. And sometimes the psychopaths have a likeable character at the start, it kinda ruins it for me because I don't like Kirito and the franchise won't let us like anyone else in these series.

That's how psychopaths are, i guess. I mean in real life they are acting to make themself likeable or to achieve their goal.

And in SAO, they need some bad guys. Personally, my fav is Kayaba Akihiko.

Problem is that any charcter' who migth infringe on kirito's heroic feats would be an issue. It's certainly strange the number of phycopaths but it's an easy way to stop any other man ever encroaching on kirito's harem. It ain't an ideal plot device I know.

However alication is definetly a huge marked improvement on all that came before it, the action is better, the music is great and the story actaully kinda works for a change but maybe most importantly there are proper characters. Yujou is the first stand out guy of the whole series. Alice is the best written female so far (that is until they ruin her in war of underworlds part 2 but ummm.... Your still a bit away from that I guess) and the side cast are all fun and decently characterised.

All in all aliceation drops the baggage of the previous series's and is sort of self contained in the best way possible, I actually liked kirito a little by the end which was surprising and as I say, it's no spoiler to say yujio is thankfully not a secret phycopath😅😅

I actually think that PoH was the best character in the series, because he tried to push much needed character development on Kirito-kun by forcing him to do harsh decisions, untimely saving this show, but to no avail

wait you haven't watched season 4 yet. Don't worry, they wont break the trend lmao. More psychopaths. Probably the biggest ones in the franchise.

Was everyone rapist? I don't think so. Shinkawa Kyouji, Gabriel Miller and Vassago Casals weren't rapist.
So like every 2nd season there are no rapists. :DDD

Yeah now that I think about it there were so many psychopaths lol. They're not necessarily bad antagonists on their own but they could still try something different and make a more unique/memorable antagonist ig.
On top of the psychopath issue, I also have problems with how many attempted rape scenes there are, like does there have to be 1-2 each season? Ultimately it's always the male protagonist who comes to save the day instead of, you know, having the girl fend for herself...

just cause it's the same arc, doesn't mean that it can't have two seasons lol. besides IMdB and Netflix both list WoU as the 4th season.

there are punks in many series, so those 2 student of swordcraft academy are the same otherwise u can also tell many anime shows holds rapists who assault girls,, there were 2 characters main and they are Oberon and smallest Death Gun

better not say seasons because if u say there is a rapist in s2 then it would make whole s2 worse but it's only 5-10 min scene in every season so it is not a big deal, also s2 holds Mother's Rosario which is one of the best arc in SAO also s1 hold Aincrad which is the best arc, so saying it will just make whole thing worse just because of a 5-10 min scene

Well how do you think they're gonna fend for themselves when they have their powers taken out, plus have some kind of chains or bondages? Ssly you expect them to overpower their captors while bounded?

That is untrue, Sinon's friend was trying to kill her, not rape her. Season 2 didn't have any rapist, and neither did the movie.

Atleast kirito is much better in the Alicization arc we got to see him start from scratch and become powerful at the end the journey was great unlike the Aincrad Arc where he was already guts final form
