The best part of this episode was the lovely moment between Emma and Mujika

Though what a way to end a series... it's like they stuffed another 11 eps into 24 min
The way they attempted to redeem "Mama" too. So cheap.
"Yeah I went through a lot of stuff and I forgot the horrible stuff you done so let's live together". I'm facepalming at how stupid that is.
Just 11 episodes ago that woman was ready to have them become demon food. And don't forget the leg thing.
Hoped they'd at least give it an ending that makes sense. But no. Not even that they could do.

I'm only giving this a 6 cause of the first few eps being as enjoyable for me as they were. Rest of the show is a 5.

Perhaps one day I'll dig up the manga.

I don't review here a lot, but now I'm gonna put my comment. And please bare with my english.

TPN totally lost its story. Missed the important parts and didn't give emphasis with the more important details just like these:

1. Mujika was crowned, and what happened to the queen?
2. The promised "seven walls" was just a promised and they sacrificed nothing for it. Just like you just tampered a promised. Lmao
3. I think it is better for Isabella to die. So her sins will be pay off and foeher to live in peace.
4. The necklace that is given by Mujika to Emma didn't mentioned again, just like it is nothing.

Overall, I'm disappointed.

I’m an anime only but this whole season felt like a mess. It was like they skipped over lots of things. I wanna know more of what happened when they went to the human world along with what promise Emma made. I guess I’ll just have to read the manga

wow...like the skipping and pacing didnt bother me as much, but that slideshow at the end was infuriating with the way they pretty much told the rest of the story just to get it over with.
ill use Food Wars as an example for comparison. as bad as the BLUE arc was and how bad sales were at the end (just like how TPN jumped the shark towards the end too), at least they had the balls to adapt it whereas the TPN author (assuming the blurbs about the author having some input is true) gave up.
im sticking with a 5/10...only because the first episode was fine and Phil was the highlight in the last eps

Damn, the fast-forward button sure was smashed for this finale. Emma and co. decided to stay behind in the Demon world so that they could bring the current monarchy down >>> They did it + made Mujika the new queen >>> They returned to the Human world without scratches nor casualties >>> The end.

Well... the author sure shot himself in the foot when he approved this season's direction, huh? As for me, there were episodes I truly enjoyed and others where I felt total indifference. I never hated this season not its direction but it's also true that there's a limit regarding how many plot conveniences I can tolerate in one single story.

4/10 - Norman x Emma? Nah, fuck that. Emma x Mujika is the real answer. What better way to bring Demons and Humans together than this?

Couldn't even bring myself to watch the entire finale. I couldn't care less about what happened to Ratri. He's just that forgettable. I then proceeded to skip the parts where Emma opens her mouth, which is basically the rest if the episode. And by the time I got to the end, I was greeted by an insulting slideshow of a conclusion.

S2 It was "good".

The Yakusoku manga after volume 7 sucks. Many arcs without my children. A lots of arcs with "I don't care" characters. Kids with guns, lots of drama and realistic stuff, but no one really important dies or at least loses a leg. Deus ex machine was boring. All demon stuff, from art to the political arc, was very confusing. And this is not a complaint to the art, it is a complaint to the bad harmony of the design of the characters arfter the firts arc. The demon world was like a fusion of the realistic world with the art of "D.gray-man/Pandora Hearts", gun otakus, "Brave New World", "Alice in Wonderland" and other.

I am quite surprised that yakusoku was reached 20 vols.

I think that discarding all that mountain of non-harmonious elements and keep the main children in focus was a correct decision. Although I really would have liked the anime to change the fact that Emma became in a speaker Marie Sue, but meh, maybe it was asking too much after all that they had already thrown away.

What was really bad about this season was undoubtedly the end. With so much change, adding a Hi5 slide show of scenes from the manga was stupid. What's the point of summarizing something you discarded in the first place? There is no point in it.

This season with a better direction and 13 episodes could have had a better ending (and add my wedding Ray-Norma-Emma). It's a shame, in the end I wouldn't recommend Yakusoku no Neverland anime, much less manga.

The whole season wasn't great but the ending.. really?
They get back and skips over all that like they strolled through a random door and appeared in the centre of Japan and all adapted to life immediately. Meanwhile, Emma and the boys fight a fucking war? That's all in 3 minutes. WTF.

Jesus, poor Phil's little back must be hurting like hell from him carrying as much of this Season as he possibly could...'cause literally the only scenes in this entire godforsaken Season that have gotten any emotional reaction out of me whatsoever have been his scenes with Emma (the reunion in the previous Ep. and his farewell in this one). You deserved a better anime, Phil my boi...

Also, i love how near the end, the main trio just basically goes "Oh yeah, the Demon Queen and her nobles are totally a thing that we're acknowledging as a threat now and they're super-powerful foes that we'll have face in epic battles but oooohh nooo we're only 5 minutes away from the ending awww maan i wish our audience could get to see them, but they won't, aahh what a shame!Anyway, ending montage time!"

So then finally we get one last slideshow that's basically a visual representation of the writers going "Uuuuhh yeah, and then a whole bunch of shit happened aaand *rapidly flips through final pages* yeah, they all lived happily ever after, the end 'kay bye."

And to think that i initially saw potential for this being better than Season 1. How very disappointing...

I haven't read the manga but I understand the disappointment, the hatred and the toxicity towards this series.

Despite the fast pace I think the story was presented in a decent way. Off course they could've done better but once again it confirms my opinion to think about adaptions and original sources (manga vs anime) as different universes and enjoy both of them.

I've no interest in the toxic fandom that has ruined many things already.

What the actual fuck was that conclusion?

It was a rushed ending. Fanfic in nature. Everything is happy go lucky. No real depth is given.

-No given backstory on Mujika and Sonju. How did they meet? Why does she have that blood? What was she doing all these years? Did she have a goal she was working towards or was she just wandering and living life? Nothing.

-No call back to Sonju mentioning how he eventually wanted humans loose so he could hunt and eat them. Nothing at all. It's as if that scene should've never even been included. He never betrayed or hinted at betraying them at all. Completely compliance.

-Did they even follow up on the miracle drug. There was a mention of a drug formula that could heat Norman and the other experiment subjects in the pen that is never mentioned again. They aren't seen looking for it and as far as viewers can tell they are still sick and dying yet none of them die or even cough up blood to confirm that. Mind you the magical "cure" being conveniently mentioned was BS to begin with.

-Fuck Peter Ratri. Evil human mastermind is given a short backstory that no one should or does give a fuck about. Then he commits suicide like a bitch just because he's stubborn even tho Emma gave him an out to be a good person.

-As a matter of fact the reasoning given for why Minerva even decided to help the kids was grossly messed up and if they think we wouldn't or shouldn't notice that they're sadly mistaken. Apparently he discovered that the offspring used for the treaty was actually the children of fellow comrades back when the war was going on. Supposedly it was meant to be the offspring of traitors and people who didn't believe in the cause. But why the fuck does that matter? You feel bad because the innocent children being killed and devoured like livestock happen to be the descendants of friends? Fuck you. The descendants of ANYONE is important, innocent and worthy of being saved. So you're telling me if Emma's ancient ancestor was a traitor that means Emma deserves to be raised and killed like cattle? Fuck you Minerva. Fuck you Ratri family.

-When the children cross to the human world nobody on the other side questions it or tries to send them back or cause drama.

-They briefly show and mention the king and nobles being upset about the situation but that's it. They're never seen again and it was so rushed that their significance is nil.

-The last 2 minutes or so is just a rushed montage of the kids growing older in the human world and Emma and her posse still in the demon world doing...something? Humanitarian work? Overthrowing the nobles? God knows. Theyre seen traveling barren lands and eating around a campfire and sharing rations and shit. Then one scene shows Mujika getting crowned by a wreath but since it's just a wreath and nothing fancy I don't know if it's meant to say they overthrew the king and now she's queen or if it's some kind of symbolic gesture for the fact she's the Evil-blooded girl and saviour of their kind. Who the fuck knows!

-omg and there was a vague shot of Emma meeting some crazy dragon looking demon and some flying buddha demon in some blank space which was probably important and I think i remember it in the manga but the anime decided to throw that in during that random concluding montage as if we're supposed to understand what or who those demons are and why Emma meets them.

-Oh and even tho the kids age up a bit, only Phil actually looks it. Norman too if you squint. Emma literally still looks the same age and the others just have some different hair styles and maybe grew and inch or something

I could go on but I digress.

In the end, Peter Ratri sacrificed himself. What a shame for trying to make a utopia of your own standards.

The glancing of the journey thus far, and finally all reunited together, which is basically Emma's utiliarian dream realized: for all Grace Field Sisters and children to go through the rite of passage into the human world. Alas, Emma's job isn't done quite just yet: to fix the entire demon world to change the world for the better for all just like William Minerva, with Sonju and Mujika, the Lambda reject teens, and Ray and Norman.

Sending the kids away to the human world is the Promise of a heartfelt moment, especially for Phil.

This finale ended in a better way than I've expected, though it's no consolation that it's the manga ending in the format of a PowerPoint presentation montage, without the whole lore of what's been cut out.

For real, it was so rushed, there wasn't any emotional build-up. I even tried to force myself to cry but it was impossible.

That ending looks like you had a presentation in the morning and you arranged a couple of slides while you were grabbing a cup of idiot juice before the talk (because that's what it looked like, idiocy). Why Why why. Why such rush at light speed? You could have ended as the gate opened and that would have been better than this train wreck of clueless montage.

Hahaha yes that picture really rocked my world

And sure it would have been fun with something even more conclusive. But that picture really went crazy with the Yuri IMO. My Lesbians interlocking hands and are so close to kiss in the sunset,,YEEEEEEEEES! So cute and romantic❤❤

In this type of anime I didn't except to find anything Yuri .So It was a really nice surprise. And proves then even a train-wreck can do something good =P

Yes but on the other hand Emma and Mujica are speaking about a promise together when this picture showed but in the anime they don't tell what it is, so I really wonder what was it (I guess it's something like saving everyone or something like that but if you positive just imagine that it is a wedding promise and then yeah the ending is perfect for you hahaahaha xD)

I don't know what to say honestly. The first season was incredible the second though Yeah it wasn't great. I haven't read the manga but I have heard that the arc they cut had a lot of character development that we didn't get to see. What they should have done was delay the season. Alternatively they could have done the season in parts like Attack on titan did with season 3. However rather then lampooning this season any further I want to explain how we more then likely got to this point. Due to the pandemic a lot of anime studios are working from home. On top of that you have companies like ten cent investing in the anime industry at the moment. And when companies like that get involved a rushed product is sure to follow to a tight deadline. As these sorts of companies don't allow for delays. That's my theory on to why I think this was so rushed.

How can I fucking say my anger on this episode and the 2nd season as a whole? I don't even fucking know myself, because a part of me thinks that this season made me a bit dumber. One thing I can take from this episode is that Emma's Talk no Jutsu method did not work on Ratri, and that man pretty much Subaru'd his way out of that shit. Well...all's well ends well, I guess.

The ending obviously blows, and it's clear that they didn't even try to even show some decency at all. Well for safety measures, I read the last 4 chapters of the manga without reading anything before it. And I can tell...atleast Isabella and others survived, and Emma did not lose her memories. And all of them did have better lives as they're now free in the human world.

But they clearly fucking skipped everything. They just pretty much showed us a PowerPoint presentation of how Emma and their crew journey to make a different promise with Squibbles and talk with the Queen to finally end the human-demon hostility.

And at the end...they reunited happily and the season ends. Fucking hate this season, the latter half was utter garbage. I fucking love the 1st season, I can almost put it as one of my Top 10 shows of all time. But this season was brutal not only on its fans, but to its own entity itself. 2-4/10, I don't fucking care where it lands, all I know is that the hate was actually well deserved.

Call me if there will be a Brotherhood coming out in the next 5-10 years, but nah fuck that, and fuck this second season to hell.

Hmm excuse me? Is it really the end of tpn? Omg xD.
First Ratri suicide, what a madlad. That's good, rather joined the group and make your character piece of crap. But the rest of it just so annoying. Emma decided to stay and then they became an adult all of sudden with the power of a time shit skip. No explanations what respond the noble demon got there, as well as the human world, they just accepted them? Due to all respect, they keep make me like a fool, pretending the two worlds make another succeeded to make another promise, and bam! Good ending, without any proper explanations.

What a dissapointment. Even Gekidol had more solid final explanations than this half-arsed end. Lmao. Whatever. What a nice experience i got here, really a challenge full of regret picking a goddamn masterpiece in the first season only to face this poor thing. I hope some of my masterpiece continuations can't go to this route, please....

Oh well, can't say anymore. Lemme just put my 3 on this broken thing, and begone asap from here. The first season may keep at my 10, because its really deserved back than, beside its also help me remember how suffer i got at these 'second season'. That's it from me and moving out!

Come on! Why do they keep using the Lullaby soundtrack? It only makes me feel nostalgic for the first season and makes me hate this season even more. They even had the audacity to slideshow the skipped parts at the end. I can't believe it but I actually ended up increasing my manga score from 4 to 5 simply because how much the anime makes the manga look better.

okay so I won't say I hated it, but I really really disliked it. I read the manga, but I won't be comparing it to it. But the beginning scene really felt undeserved, it felt like a scene that should've happened after at least a five season run, when they faced peter, it felt like a scene that should have climaxed an epic story, not end a shitty short adventure. Peter ratri was laughably bad, we never got a single moment to see him scary at all, we've only ever seen him as a pathetic whiny crybaby telling everyone else they are wrong. But that wasn't what made me hate the episode so much, what made me hate it was that ending man, that ending scene where they show us a montage of what could've been. Seeing the dragon, the queen, the characters journeying far and wide, that whole scene was just showcasing what could've been. HHHHHHHHHH, at least we have the vastly less disappointing manga. Still disappointing, but not dog shit.
