THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
They added some epic music to this episode where this feels almost like a season finale.

Emma and the kids make their move again but with weapons in hand. There's emotions this episode too with that embrace. I love how the kids are in smiles, a sharp contrast to the despair earlier in the series.

Isabella also came back armed with a gun and standing by the kids' side! A hell of a reappearance if you ask me.

This part of manga was already shitty enough, but my god, they always find a way to make it even more terrible, lmao.

damn this episode was so nice, was a bit worried becuase of what we saw at the end of the episode last time but seems like it all turned out nice, glad that the mom and stuff are all back on their side. looks like everything is going good now so hope they can get to the human side, classic emma still offering mercy there at the end too. quite a lot of plot conveniences and stuff here though but i didn't mind it too much, still a pretty good conclusion and cant wait to see how this season turns out.

The Return to Grace Field arc, made even more simplified by going anime-original.

The final obstacles of Peter Ratri, the demons and Grandma Isabella from Vincent's intel, but with it being a ruse to prepare the Grace Field escapees, the trio of smart-asses, Lambda teens, Sonju, the Evil-Blooded Girl Mujika and the civilian demons to rescue the remainder of the Grace Field children (Phil and others). The final assault is on.

With the same game of tag, this is the FINAL COUNTDOWN. Thought they'd make it, but the reappearance of Grandma Isabella and the Sisters with guns, Peter Ratri thought he had them by the sleight of the hand, but Isabella, DAMN DID SHE TURN THE TABLES AROUND.

It's a revenge return plot of all against one, with Emma's plans coming into fruition.

Putting aside how the contents of this episode felt so out of place the final battle of the series begins and the children wins it with the help of Isabella who backstabs Ratri (Serves him right that piece of trash) and Mujica who comes to help with the demons. Thou lol Emma's optism has no bounds, she wants to live together with him *chuckles*.

Really good episode. Glad that Isabella is on the kids' side. I still love Phil and his adorable smile. Also, those cute kids and their precious smiles made my heart melt. Great to see them fighting back. Emma still wants to live with everyone. The final bout is about to begin. Looking forward to how they're gonna conclude it.

Well there was some excitement to this episode I guess, and Emma and Phil's reunion was nice enough. But at this rate I'm watching more out of morbid curiosity than anything, and the conveniences keep on coming.

wow that was really bad. Phil meeting Emma again was cute but other than that... wow. that was really bad. Was it just me or was this episode really ugly looking too? Felt half assed animation wise. The solidarity shown by demon civilians just is disappointing because of how poorly its done I can't even get hyped for something like that. Sigh. Cloverworks, why?

Time to save the kids, I thought it was going to be hard for them but looks like they have Isabella on their side along with all the demons, nice for them, Ratri is sure in a very bad position but Emma wants him to join them, weird xD

Ok so the Phil and Emma reunion was good, and yes I cried.
But man, ok, I haven’t read this far in the manga, and I heard that people don’t like the ending, but still, I feel like this could have been way better if it was t so rushed. Like how can you have a whole season be about escaping grace field and then only have it take 1 episode to infiltrate back in. Knowing they were going back to grace field, I wanted so much more. I wanted to see them prepare, I wanted to see Norman filling them in on Peter, I wanted to see them recruiting the civilians, I just wanted to see it all more. And I wanted to see behind the scenes, see Isabella playing along so that when she turned it actually felt like a twist. Without seeing the work that was put in, everything going so well like this felt way too much like a lucky coincidence, which sucks because I feel like these twists could’ve been huge moments if they were built up to.
Seeing this now, if they wanted to rush an ending this season, I would’ve rather they just cut out even more so that what we do see has some depth. Like start the season a year, 2 years ahead, showing that the kids have set themselves up outside, and that they’ve got an alliance with mujika, and then reintroduce Norman, and then we would’ve had way more time to get into this part of the story, the rescue. Like if you weren’t doing goldy pond and introducing yuugo, I didn’t need to see them wondering through the forest after their escape, or them finding the shelter to have things blow up. If you want to cut, give us the info we need so that we can get into the rescue plan. Idk, I just think that may have been a better way to do the season if they wanted to finish it in 2 seasons, just cut all the middle out, give us the final arc in detail, and then if you want to know what happened in between then you can read the manga. I just wanted what we got to have substance, not be a surface level rehash of the manga.

Is it my feeling or this season has been ultra omega hyper rushed?

S1 had a good pace, but S2 is going super fast. I get the feeling the anime will actually end next week.

The whole episode was just “wow that’s convenient!” So now apparently after several decades of hatred, everyone is suddenly on Emma’s side? Thought this anime was gonna be darker but yet the only impactful death was Connie in the first episode.

It wasn’t a bad episode but I just can’t stand how everyone switched sides so quickly. I think they ruined isabellas character by making her good at the end. It would be a lot better if she remained a scary and menacing character. Even as an anime only, I can say that this season was disappointing. They better do something good for the ending

I swear Emma is on a drug where she can only be optimistic cause is there is no way she wants to live with the people who have KILLED AND EATEN THE PEOPLE BEFORE HER.

This episode was alright, but damn they should of made this 2 episodes to make this a 12 episode show. Also it just felt so unnatural to me that Isabelle switched the way she did, just felt like it was too convenient. Best part of this episode was Phil and Emma's reunion, it was sweet.

Has a 8.60 mean score

Season 2 literally does the same ending as the manga, but it dumbs it down and takes away 70+ chapters getting rid of so much context. What is the promise and how was it made in the first place. The kids using arrows against the Demons after a year of training at most is so trash and my suspension of disbelief is gone. Everything was too convenient and poor development. Ray, Norman, and Lamada gave up on their beliefs with little resistance and it felt rushed. It feels like everyone was different people. Everything about this season felt rushed and Emma's optimism is really annoying.

Vincent didn’t end up defecting, which should have been obvious. I’m not sure where he learned how to hack supremely complex systems and deactivate the chips in the Moms.

The scenes where fighting occured was mostly single frames. I still have no idea why Isabella became Grandma. She was almost killed after the farm escape happened, yet they promote her to the highest position after she has done literally nothing to help the demons recapture the children. It was no surprise that she ended up defecting too.

They were able to take the farm headquarters without losing a single member. I get they are going for a really happy and clean ending, but this whole ending is so poorly written with no sense of realism.

Bruh, they adapted like 16 volumes in just 11 episodes…I tried to find the good side of this season, but everything is so rushed, weird paced and convenient to the plot. Ok, the latest arcs were not the best stories of the manga, but they were not that bad to deserve this mistreatment. At least it will end next week.

It's unreal how a series with so much potential became this thing. Thankfully there is only 1 episode left and I can finally forget it.

1. Wtf did all the hot air balloons come from?

2. In episode 3, Sanju said that he can hardly wait to eat humans again. According to his religious beliefs, they just have to be hunted in the wild, not farmed. So all the prime breeding stock is out of the farm... win-win. He's been alive for centuries, all he's got to do is wait for a few more.

3. So the demon civilians and some humans have overturned the farm system. What is the government going to say / do about this? It's a socioeconomic collapse.

4. Why didn't Isabella splatter that Peter Ratri guy's brains on the wall before Emma even started with her friendship shtick?

At least it wasn't a boring episode.

You know what would solve the rest of the story problems? Another MAGIC PEN CAP.

I wasn't completely against the original route idea right from the start although my expectations were low, but goddamn I'm livid with the mix and match approach they've gone with this adaptation, as they try to adapt manga content but stay original and do all of it in such a rushed timeframe with some illogical choices made at times with details. This episode was frustrating to watch for me, probably the most from this show so far as they really did a rough job in using manga material and combining it with the format of this season in original form. The buildup and payoff to the twists in this season feels so non-existent whilst crushing all the hard work that the masterpiece of the first season built up, especially surrounding the Isabella betrayal against Ratri here along with the other mothers for the farms.

Now again, I'm not a fan of where the manga went at all after Goldy Pond, but it just shows that even with a whole new scenario, Kaiu Shirai messed up even here by pulling the trigger too early with the original idea for this season due to being too reactionary given the negative reviews of the final arc. This really blows.

3. In the manga it's actually a main plot point, but there is only 1 episode left so the anime probably gonna skip it.

I just realised this show is a huge catfish you know. The only death of the main cast (the children) is in the first episode, and throughout the rest of the show they managed to leave the farm, get to the human world, debate over killing the whole of demon kind, and then decide to go back to the farm to defeat the final boss, all the while having a total of zero casualties.

Like at this point can you blame emma for being optimistic tf if I was her I would be as selfish and unrealistic as I want, I mean everything seems to be going her way with absolutely no inconveniences.

At this rate the show will drop to 6.0-6.5 territory (imagine a show being a whole 2 points lower than it's first season eeesh)

Finally, one more episode left of this dumpster fire FOREVER! I already have a feeling how the next episode will be.
