| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The 2nd idol show this season, and pray tell am I watching A3! once again on repeat. Yes, this game premiered way before A3! (they're produced by the same developer: Liber Entertainment), and the influences from that show can be inferred here as the predecessor. Let all the Shoujo fans rejoice... A fine start to introduce to the large character cast and groups that's based off the game (don't @ me, I know next to nothing about this). A kuma principal within a D4DJ-ish school setting...weird flex but OK... What a quest to go through: sell 3000 CDs, or risk getting expelled. Simple and concise for being unknown newbies, the challenges only go up and not down. Is it weird for me to say that this is the Tsukipro/Ensemble Stars that couldn't? Maybe yes, maybe not. Looking forward to the songs, because that's where idol shows ONLY excel at. Well, the first of many "3-episode rule" afflictions IMO. |

I liked the song they sang in the end and the ending song. I don’t have a favorite character yet.  I don’t know if these^ characters are girls (you can expect everything from male idol anime) but I’m fine with it as long as they’re cute tbh. They have the potential to be my favorite characters. |

| Nice first episode. It's good that they didn't use too much CG in the OP cause most of the music anime I watched used CGI that made the OP too cringy. I like how there's this awkwardness between the members of Fire Fenyx, it makes it look really natural. I played the game long ago so I don't remember most of it. I deleted it cause I found it kinda difficult, that's why I like Hypnosis mic, it's fun and easy at the same time. |

| Don't know why I started watching this but here we are lol... I think this is the first "idol" anime I watch. It was interesting enough, the different groups are cool. Oh, Seiya has Hibito's voice, that's why his "yaaay!" sounded so familiar lol |

| I’ve played a little of the game - I haven’t gotten very far in the story, but I was glad going into this episode that I was already familiar with the characters. They did a decent job introducing them but that’s still a lot of guys at once. I wonder whether the whole show will focus on the three in Fire Fenyx. I guess we’ll see. I appreciated the dancing animation at the opening; pretty good. I’ll keep watching for the voice cast and to see where they go with it. I remember it being charming so I’m cautiously optimistic. |
| Nice first episode to set everything up. That song they sang at the end was nice and I totally expect to be a part of the CDs. Either the 3000 they have to sell or CDs down the line. It's my first time watching a show of this nature, let's see what happens! |

| As someone who was a HUGE fan of the original mobile game and a big fan of the franchise, its so nice to see it finally get an anime. It's been a good few years since I last played the game (and I never bothered with their newest game) so I was looking forward to seeing all the characters again but I'll be honest... I was pretty bored with the first episode. I'll probably continue it for now as I've yet to see my boys POP'N STAR but I may drop it in later episodes. I will give it credit for not using CG in the opening dance, and I really like the ED song. They're my favourite group though, and the blonde one on the right (Momo) is my favourite character so I appreciate your good taste. |

| why is hardly anyone talking about the OP lol, I think that's one of the only if not the only idol OP I've seen that used little to no CGI, and still managed to look pretty decent. but anywho Came in thinking it was gonna be an idolish7 type of deal, seeing the cast made me think it was gonna be more of an idolmaster type of deal, watching this first ep is now making me think it's gonna be an Ensemble stars type of deal lol. I hope it doesn't end up getting too confusing with the shitload of characters, but doesn't seem that promising so far in that regard |

| This was better than I expected it to be. The characters and general energy of the show seem like fun, albeit it might be just another idol boy anime, but it kept me entertained for 20 minutes lol (Haven't played the game) |
| Starting watching this for the seiyuus. Don’t know what to expect as I haven’t seen any idol anime before. I think my favourite is Akira!!!!! I like the Fire Fenyx boys & their dynamics And if Seiya fails to be an idol he can definitely try & be a motivator lolol The end card is beautiful!! |

| I was looking at what Twin Engine production had going on for this season and they have this. Really? After Kabaneri, Dororo, Vinland Saga, Babylon, etc, is this what they have? Not trying to talk bad of idol anime. I guess they need to collect some money through this since they cut ties with Amazon. |
| I kinda gave up on mostly male casts, but I guess I'm back on my shit because... I dunno, I'm in the mood to just consume things even if they're trash right now. It's been rough. Anyway, I usually avoid mostly make casts because they often do this kinda condescending female pandering thing where it kinda just feels like they're thinking, "As long as it has cute boys then it should sell. We don't need to put too much effort in". Nope nope. You still need to try or you're not getting my money. Anyway, so far, we have a colorful cast. It's not too bad. They sure started believing in themselves pretty fast though. lol Usually, the one female in the show of a mostly all male cat is kinda blah, but the Producer actually stands out to me as cool. Not the blushy blushy type. Good start. Just overall, I'm oddly liking the vibe as far as first episodes go, but hopefully it gets even better from here. I wasn't aware that this was based off of anything, so I'm coming in with no expectations. Cant's complain so far! I wish it luck! |
| It was a pretty good start. Better than I expected. I like this funny and energetic atmosphere. Principal Kuma. :P He gave the boys a pretty difficult quest with those 3000 CDs. |
