Aot's animation quality was going downhill since season 2 finished so yeah, I was expecting something worse than s3p2 but what we got isn't worse than s3p2
Trailer was pre-made so I didn't set my expectations after that trailer

I praised ep2 and 4 and loved ep3 if not for the pacing I was excepting atleast something acceptable for the best ep of the season but well we got that shitshow, my sisters are anime only they love aot so much, I really feel bad for them for experiencing these huge events with this medicoricty, I will tell them to read the manga, my expectations were something like ep1 or a little bit better with some cool sakuga scenes but yeah there is not a single sakuga animator working in this season and you know what we got.

so right, Mappa is more frustrated than us. Hayashi seems to be very passionated with AoT but what can we expect with 8-10 months to animate? other anime have 1.5 years and the animators said that one episode with titan in aot takes so much time like 3 episodes from other animes

Attack on Titan ended with chapter 123 and 130/131 is the epilogue

Maybe my opinion will change on a rewatch when its out in subs and in 1080p but for now this is my first impression.

I am hoping because anime only didn't read the manga they wont be in the same situation as me on how I was imaging certain scenes to be animated, I really hope they enjoy this weeks episode way more than I did and that those things I mention will not be much of a bother.

@deg you were right, no sakuga for this season. I don't think we can even compare it to jjk as snk doesn't have any sakuga to compare it with, except for the quick scenes in episode 3.

Cao wasn't lying when he said keep expectation low, he tried his best though I can see it and I appreciate his effort but that doesn't mean his work can't be criticize.

shit so he was serious..... the smiling emoji's were damn misleading. also to add to negatives, AT sound effects felt like he was yawning continuously in the same tone and frequency. also that silly clanking noise when he was punching half transformed WHT. that scene in itself looks cool sound effects sucked ass and took away a lot from the scene.
Also why the fuck was the cg design so diff from ep 5, this looked like it was out of the videogame, and I was fearing that so much... are they sure this is what they wanted to make?

Okay. I get it now. People don't like this adaptation because they basically watch this show JUST for action scenes. Attack on Titan is Attack on Titan because of it's story. And besides from CGI, this adaptation is PERFECT. Just one word: Perfect. They basically didn't cut anything. This means, you don't like the action scenes. Not adaptation. Because the adaptation is same with manga. They basically nailed it except episode 3.

God. Imagine a person who watches Attack on Titan for it's action and not for the plot. This must be a joke or something.

Once and for all. CGI is not THAT bad. And deep inside you know that too. It's better than most anime. Maybe one of the best out there.

if you are just watching for the story then why not just read the manga? Saying this season doesn't need good animated fight scenes or good osts and sound effect is just stupid good stories can be ruined if these things are done wronge

as a Berserk fan I would be happy with an adaptation like this, but because the 2017 anime is one of the worst things ever done for the best manga ever created.
