Cute to see Adachi and Shimura going out to have some fun together including some air hockey. It's another episode of sweet bonding and character relationship development. Those two really brings out the best from each other. |

| Well given Adachi's nature Christmas for her in the past was probably one filled with isolation. Christmas though is more about spending time with your loved one. Nagafuji and Hino are such great friends lol. Well as outfits go wearing your work uniform to a date has to be a new one. The date though despite the odd start sure was fun for both parties. But man Shimamura's gift sure was an odd one. A boomerang huh. Overall a cute and warm ep as always. Looks like Adachi's finally getting the courage she needs to ask the real question for her. |

| Adachi trying to be sneaky this episode by getting someone to help her pick a present for Shimamura, and Shimamura does the same thing, lol. The alien loli makes an appearance by communing with superior beings... or something. Both she and Shimamura's sister were adorable, but when she pulled the instrument out I literally couldn't stop thinking of off-flute memes, haha. Our main duo's date was adorable as well and we just learned that Adachi is a better irl gamer than Shimamura, why am I not surprised, hehe. Cute moment at the end there, seems like Adachi's not yet ready to confess her feelings to Shimamura, but I didn't expect Shimamura to get her a boomerang for Christmas, lol. And glasses for protection too, she thought of everything, didn't she? |
| Adachi is jealous of anyone who's around Shimamura, her jealousy is going to hurt a lot someday. I hope Adachi starts to accept Shimamura's friends before that happens. Adachi was able to make that boomerang come back in her first try, wow. I wasn't able to do that no matter how many times I tried. Either she's really talented, or I'm just too incompetent. |

| Definitely the best episode of the anime so far for me but I still don’t get what’s the deal with the annoying alien girl. At least she doesn’t get that much screen time anymore so it’s bearable. Adachi’s jealousy is not okay and I hope she overcomes that soon. I knew she wouldn’t have the guts to confess tho because it’s only the 6th episode lol |

Seriously, slow burns piss me off, not one kissu and we are halfway done, I bet we won't get any real confession until MAYBE the last bit of episode 11 and have half of episode 12 be drama until there is acceptance. We STILL have one half who doesn't seem to think it in that way and the other half being a coward. Also an alien loli who is really pointless. Show is cute? Yes. Frustrating? ABSOLUTELY. Since this isn't a CGDCT show but trying to be a serious romance there is no excuse for the piss poor lack of any yuri this far into the show. I am trying to enjoy this, I really am, but I much rather skip the next 5 episodes and get to the good stuff rather than wade through this any more. |

| Adachi wearing that Chinese Dress never disappoints. That looks so superb on her!! The "date" was pretty fun, Air Hockey and gifts exchanging. Honestly, that boomerang was so unexpected, yet when I saw it appear that DEFINITELY was wasn't the first thing that came to mind.. So close to confessing, but I guess this is a step closer than before for Adachi. Still really loving their chemistry, especially the teasing side of Shimamura. She knows how to pull Adachi's strings and it's lovely to see! |

| i'm a pretty impatient person so seeing them not really properly realising their feelings yet is killing me :') it seems obvious that adachi romantically likes her but she doesn't seem to realise that. and it feels as if shimamura runs away from meaningful relationships so until she fixes her own issues, i'm not sure if she'll able to realise her own feelings for adachi (rn, it feels like she doesn't have many lol). shimamura's present to adachi was a little weird icl, she could've got something a bit more thoughtful. adachi was so close to confessing omg.. |

I’m not the type of guy that gets angry if a relationship development takes a whole cour for a couple, but don’t fucking keep teasing the viewers with what seems to be a confession just for her to say “I want to be friends”. What is this the second or third time this type of situation has happened in this show? Seriously do directors think the viewers are all masochists that enjoy painful moments like those? |

| Man, when’s it gonna be my turn. When am I gonna find my Shimamura. Such a great episode. I love Adachi’s jealous reactions to seeing Shimamura out with other people. As grown men/women, it’s weird for us, but I think it’s a very realistic touch because most 15/16 year olds would feel that way. Adachi’s reaction when she got her gift from Shimamura was so freaking cute too, ugh. She was on the verge of confessing, but I guess episode 6 would be too early for that anyway. Can’t wait for next week |

| Damn this is slowly but surely hitting me straight to the heart. I love how Adachi thinks inside her mind, any person who have a crush will think similarly like her. Her actions when she saw Shimamura with Nagafuji speaks warmly, and she'll go to any lengths just to give her a gift. The end scene was pretty good as well, even though she didn't confess fully yet to her (daym it). Also Adachi in Chinese dress is HOT. Reminds me of Hong Kong style movies of the past. |

| Considering Shimamura's inner monologue last episode, I'm pretty sure Adachi has dodged a bullet when she reconsidered about confessing her true feelings. It's just not the right time yet but it seems many people here forgot about the fact that Shimamura doesn't want to be particularly close to anyone at the moment. This said, I hope the fact of her accepting Adachi as a "best friend" may help her get rid of such curious mindset in future episodes. Overall, this was a really good episode. Some part of me was expecting the "date" to go down the angst route but in the end, I'm glad everything went good for Adachi. She also received quite the random gift from her crush but still, I'm pretty sure she will treasure it dearly. It was also nice to see Hino becoming more relevant to the main story, by the way. It was really kind of her to help Adachi find a present for Shimamura without asking too many questions. It seems she's more observant than I originally thought. |
| Cute and lovely episode. One of the best episodes so far. Adachi is very cute. Chinese dress and boomerang as a present, what a weird Christmas for Adachi. But, it's good for her and everything went well except for the last part which she can't tell her real feeling for Shimamura. But maybe it's a good decision because if Adachi rushes her relationship too much everything might be torn apart. The most important thing in this episode is Yashiro doesn't interfere their dates. The next episode looks like to be Valentine one, can't wait for it. |

| Christmas Time! What an amazing episode. Adachi looks really nice with her Chinese dress, and she even looked like a movie star after she threw a boomerang along with her coat. I'm also happy Hino is getting more screentime, and she's becoming more relevant to the story. She's a really fun, lovable girl, and she even knew which tea to pick for Shimamura. Also, Shimamura was hanging out Nagafuji to go shopping, and Nagafuji suggested Shimamura to buy the boomerang for Adachi. Turns out Adachi was having fun with the boomerang, and I can't forget that she and Shimamura were also having fun playing air hockey in the arcades. It feels like they're playing ping-pong again. Most importantly, I'm glad that Adachi has decided that she wanted to become Shimamura's best friend for now.  |

| Hngh, that episode went by so fast. I got shookt the moment the ED played. Fucking love Adachi and Adachi in her chinese dress is 2x more adorable plus of course the legs lmao. Though it's nice to see Adachi talk to someone else besides Shimamura. I think Adachi and Hino can be good friends too. Look at how happy Adachi was when Shimamura had a present too, that was precious... Aaaand it's a boomerang lmao. But, knowing that Shimamura took the effort to find a present for her is good enough for Adachi. Well we are in it for long ride, it's slow yes but, it's the journey to that juicy relationship we are here for. |

So far this show is shaping up to be another huge disappointing yuri like Bloom Into You (Yagate Kimi ni Naru). They both do good at building up the tension, and even dream sequences where they hint at a kiss, but nothing happens, and I feel teased. They wrap it in all sorts of reasons, but at the end of the day I suspect it's because the showrunners are simply too afraid to have a lesbian kiss in their show (or maybe it's homophobia, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt). I want to see a confession and then least one kiss by the end, or it gets a 1 just like Yagate. And honestly, it should happen way before then. Why can't we see a relationship after they become a couple, with some ups and downs? That'd actually be interesting and new (to me, anyway). They could deal with issues like prejudice, family and friends coming to accept their relationship, whether they are actually meant for each other, etc. The yuri's I've seen where they kiss they're already macking all over each other by the first couple episodes with no build-up and it's mostly just exploitation. Does anyone know of a yuri (not a hentai) with cute characters where they build things up, actually get there, and then spend the rest of the show with an interesting relationship? |

| Adachi looks desperate, so wearing the work clothes is one way to boost her courage on this. I think it looked a bit awkward because she did not tie her hair like when at work. also good decision not to love confess right there. High chance that Shimamura would reacted in an unpleasant way. _______ I ordered something from japan an item from this anime. Will show it when it arrives. Used Registered Airmail delivery method, so it should come in one or two weeks. :) |
| It's Christmas Time...Yuri style! Adachi with her monologue, sure is tricky to find out her true feelings vs. expressing it out in the open. But as compared to being with Shimamura, knowing one's true heart to say and expect results against the reality of it being different, that's an unhealthy give-or-take balance for Adachi. Expectations vs. Reality, I'd guess. Asking the help of Hino to find a present for Shimamura instead of finding it on her own, sure is a conflict of feelings. Pretty shooketh of the background of friends' support (Hino and Nagafuji) vs. the jealousy between the both (Adachi and Shimamura), it's like I want Adachi to confess SO SO BADLY, but then again, it's the human heart of leaning back to the comfort zone when the cinch of fear cannot be overcome. A Christmas date with the Qipao-work-wearing Adachi and the "pure" white Shimamura, and Adachi is unnervingly more held-back while Shimamura just goes for gold. Their "friendship" may seem trivial, and even with the gift exchange, a tea bag and a boomerang, I have a feeling that those two are symoblic items: hot tea of steamy feelings when made, and the boomerang of feelings thrown only to rebound back to square one. The moment of Adachi confessing to Shimamura to be her friend AND NOT BEING A LOVE INTEREST, that may be playing safe too much, but it's a sleight call to remain their relationship status quo and not deviate from there, otherwise things will get worse. | I don't know why, but I really want to see more of Adachi's victory poses. She looked very cute when she won her air hockey match against Shimamura. X3 One thing that I liked about this episode was Adachi socialising more with people other than Shimamura. Hino, in this case, was a big help for Adachi in her mission to buy a present for Shimamura and you can tell that both girls enjoyed each other's company during the trip to the shopping centre. What caught them both off-guard was that Shimamura did the exact same thing as Adachi, going to the same shopping centre and she went with her other friend, Nagafuji, to help her choose a gift for Adachi. The Christmas Day hang-out with Adachi and Shimamura was cute, especially how Adachi was ballsy enough to wear her sexy Chinese work uniform on the day itself. Overall, they had a great day out and they enjoyed each other's presents, too. As for the final scene, I believe Adachi made the right call to only want to become Shimamura's best friend. Now, I know that some of the LESS patient viewers watching this series wouldn't be happy that Adachi didn't downright confess her love to Shimamura and, one user in particular above, is rather angry about this move and simply wants the romance development to get on with it and speed up. Take a step back and think. It's obvious that Adachi is in love with Shimamura, but she's also aware of how Shimamura isn't super close to either Hino or Nagafuji, her main friends. Coupled with Shimamura's inner monologue from the previous episode and you'll understand as to why Adachi made the move she did instead of outright confessing. She not only avoided a big bump in the road that could de-rail part of their friendship, but it also keeps their romance development at the same slow burn pace as before, instead of hastily speeding it up for the sake of some impatient viewers and their immature frustrations. That aside, I would say that this is probably the best episode of the series so far. The preview of the next episode, however, is a big tease. Shimamura stripping off? Surely that's just a vision.........right? |

Okay, okay, as much as I want to gush about this episode while my heart is still a puddle, I’ll take this more seriously. I loved Hino and Adachi hanging out — we haven’t really seen Adachi have a relationship with anyone other than Shimamura yet, so it was nice to see our precious girl bantering with someone else. Hino and Nagafuji are both pretty endearing — I hope to see them involved with our main pair more in the future beyond Adachi getting jealous. I also hope to see Adachi continue to work away from her issues and get out of her comfort zone, although she still has a long way to go. Shimamura and Nagafuji were even worse at gift shopping than expected. Not going to lie, I definitely didn’t see that as a boomerang at first — wonder if Adachi didn’t too lol. I was also waiting for the boomerang to break — Adachi would totally treasure a goddamn broken boomerang anyways (or really anything from Shimamura). Loving all the characters and the slow burn between Adachi and Shimamura — it feels very genuine, both for the angsty and inexperienced teenagers we’re working with and for their established personalities. |

But, somehow a romance movie can handle this kind of thing in a couple hour film, vs 4-5 hours available in a single anime season, so it seems like it should be possible to pull off in the time available. I believe it's probably just a matter of studio unwillingness at this point. Maybe it's a taboo that Japan isn't ready to handle yet? Anyhow my comment was my opinion about the episode and my disappointment at where things are headed (friendzone), and what my preference was. I know it probably doesn't sound a lot like the opinions of others, but it's okay if my opinion stands alone. Please don't take it personally. I asked around, and it seems like this kind of thing I'm looking for just doesn't exist in anime yet, only in light novels. Hopefully someday it'll happen. I'm planning on reading the Adachi to Shimamura LN's once I finish the anime, so I can find out if they get together. |
