The journey of the heroes continues to another town...and unexpectedly Cleo is taking charge, for being a carefree glutton and a spendthrift. What a way to start her character development.

As Roi and Domnitrix have pointed out, Cleo is unstable and is a relative unknown of the outside world, and putting her magic to good use still seems far-fetched. The kind old lady Madam Volf sure made heavy work of Cleo's bratful attitude, hopefully that's a lesson learnt. Coupled with the vibrant land that's burned down to a crisp, that serves as a warning for Cleo.

To make up for action, the usual demon-killing, but without magic, Cleo is just as useless. Magic for good, can save people, and that's what she did.

The passer-by journey continues...

I can't help but think too deep about what Roi sold, his dagger, if I interpret what it symbolically represented correctly, he just sell his own body (the front, not the back).

I actually enjoyed this episode a lot. It was great for cleo’s development and can’t wait to see how she uses it going forward. I’m curious what ol girl from last week meant with the holy sword being Lua’s curse.

I know most people have written this show off, but I’m enjoying it a lot.

I am enjoying this show as well but it is pretty generic. Its like the plot of an old Playstation one or two game.

Surely Cleo had a good lesson on these episode to used her magic wisely. Because like her mother said, the stronger you were, the more sadness you feel. However, when you could put up your effort to protect peoples without any half hearted attitude, the magic power would lead you into a great success. Well, maybe thats what Cleo need, as how she sometime could be so reckless and almost did crazy thing with her magic. A little lesson for my little cute but so excited witch, Cleo, can be so good to built up her character development.

A fine episode, with a very average storyline. But with a nice development over Cleo's characterization ....

I don't think she ever needed money in that sky island where she lived before and that's why she's not able to handle the party's finances at all.

If they were out of money they could've sold all those useless items they bought...

What Cleo did in the first shop was so dumb, honestly I felt like slapping her. That scene reminded me of that annoying childhood memory. Me and A were going to B's place, I already rang the door bell and we were waiting for them to open the door, God knows what happened to A, they just started kicking the door, I told them to stop so many times but A just kept kicking the door, later I was scolded by B's older sister...

The way Madame was overworking Cleo, really served her right.

Anyway, I like it more when they're traveling than when they're fighting. Their actions are kinda boring and so cliché that I can't feel anything. So, I wish they focus more on their journey than the action.

After a lot of mistakes it seems Cleo learned a valuable lesson of using magic to protect and not for convenience thanks to meeting Madam wolf there. Still sad Roi had to sell one of his daggers to get some funds because of Cleo's lavish spendings.

Cleo finally gets a focal episode as she is forced to defend a woman who hates magic against a group of demons. I'm digging the character writing in this show so far. Yes, it's generic but I love when stories take themselves seriously and without irony.
