| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The main appeal seems to be Adachi and Shimamura's character chemistry, two characters and their relationship dynamics. Setting is pretty normal, even realistic for its local environments. Taeko also got introduced and everyone seems to get along pretty well. Quite a charming episode if you ask me. I also love some of the sceneries used for this episode, especially the bike riding scenes. |

| Now this was a sweet and adorable episode with a bit of bitterness and lewd scenes mixed in. Visuals were really beautiful too. I liked both of the protags, Adachi specially was really cute and lewd too. Shimamura was okay for now but with all her monologues might like her more after more episodes. Nagafuji was hot, I love megane oppai girls and Hino was quite funny with all her groping XD. Thou I wonder what's that space suit kid is supposed to be. Some sort of Alien? | It was alright. This show has a first person narrotor, which makes it better imo. I think I'll like Adachi more than Shimamura, Shimamura's friends were irritating. |

| Visually, I'm sort of mixed on the designs and I don't care for the supporting characters but the charm, heart and chemistry is there with Adachi and Shimamura. The interactions were solid and the foundation was set nicely here for their relationship to expand as well as their feelings for each other for the future. I was way more drawn in to the Bloom into You premiere and Yuu and Touko than this show, but this was a solid enough premiere still. Designs I need to get used to though. |

| This was actually better than initially imagined. The visuals, especially backgrounds, were amazing (and the thighs obviously)! I love the character designs and both girls are pretty cute. For now I like Adachi the most of the two, hair and eye colors are just what I like. Their chemistry is lovely to behold. Can't wait to see more of this wholesomeness. Even though I was in awe with everything I saw on screen during the episode, I can't help but wonder iwhat the hell that little astronaut is suppose to be XD by the looks of it might be a running gag during the whole show, but it had me question a lot. |

| This hit all the right spots. Love the interactions, the calm nature and the slight melancholy that's lingering around. And more girl love with thighs, the trend continues xD Overall great, hope this stays strong. |

| I think I see this show will be compared to Bloom Into You quite often, going by the way the first episode went. I feel that the production team have a fetish for thigh shots, as there was a lot of them in this episode (without any flashes of underwear, surprisingly). Not just that, but the visuals were pretty and colourful, which is also nice. Despite the initial awkwardness between each other, you can see a nice little chemistry building between Adachi and Shimamura. It'll be interesting to see how their friendship will grow over the course of the series. =) |

| Well the rooftop would make an ideal hideaway for those that want to skip class. Still skipping class to play ping pong sure is new. The personalities of the two while contrasts sure gel surprisingly well with each other. Pretty cute opening. The manner of their first meeting sure was fun. Shimamura's thoughts on the archetypes of her friends sure was amusing. It was cute seeing them make up and take the first step in improving their bond after though. While certainly uncomfortable for her meeting Hino and Nagafuji will be a good experience for Adachi. Overall a pretty cute opening ep that did well to introduce the two main characters of Adachi and Shimamura. Hopefully we'll get some more expansion on Adachi next ep though. After so many action focused anime's this season its nice to have a calm and relaxing one to soak in. |

| Holy shit! This was great probably my favorite first episode this season. It was great both in term of animation and mood/atmospere, and I really liked both Adachi and Shimamura. |

| Well, I was expecting something more like Bloom Into You but this looks good still. Its seems more oriented into how their relationship is growing so I also liked that. But idk, it feels kinda weird. Maybe Bloom into You really left the bar so high for me or I had wrong expectations from this show (probably second). Anyway, ill be looking at this closely. Loved how Adachi looks <3 |

| I went into this completely blind, and was pleasantly surprised. Atmospheric, calm, rainy (all good romances are rainy), good cinematography. The side chars are somewhat annoying, and I'm not sure what to think about that astronaut ... gimmick? All in all it seems to be one of those relaxing, dreamy shoujo ai I usually like. I'll probably drop IGWP for this one, too many good anime this season :) |

| I really liked the first episode. The visuals and voice actors were great. I thought it was funny how they implemented the short scenes with the space suit wearing person, since in the manga he was introduced only later (been a while since i read it, correct me if im wrong). |
| We have some great art and cute girls on our hands. Honestly I wouldn't say it drew me in completely but I definitely look forward to how Adachi and Shimamura relationship progresses. |

The art style is so beautiful omg I keep on rewatching certain scenes cause I'm in awe. It reminds me of a fluffy cloud:) I think it's so sweet that shimamura buried the cicada, instantly started loving her when that was implied. Never watched anything quite like this so I'm really excited^^ |

| Some of the parts make me think this could have been a Shaft anime, even though I know it's Tezuka Productions who helm the series, but I'm really glad to see it got adapted properly so far!X'3 My only problem with it is the pacing might be a little fast at times, but that's probably because I'm used to the slower pace of the novel instead~^^'> Edit: And I mean, DID YOU SEE THAT OP ANIMATION?! | A bit slow for my taste. Since it's tagged as shoujo ai, I probably can't expect anything to actually happen, which is a bit disappointing. Probably just gonna be the kind of show I watch while multitasking. |

| I loved it. It was very unique for an adaptation. Cinematic and yet relaxing. I love Shoujo Ai and this I think was a new way to experience the plot. I guess it’s more about the foreplay than the climax or more politely about the trip itself than the destination you arrive at. I am excited for next week. |

| out of all the new shows for me this season which a few have been duds this one has kinda rocketed to the top for enjoyable first episodes . i'm hoping this is actually gay and not bait i like the awkward/relaxing chemistry between the two leads and the way they look at each other at times has me hoping for the best i sorta see where this is going but at the same time not due to that little Astronaut kid lol everything is so normal outside of that it just looks nice and is pretty chill not to mention the dialogue for the characters seems more dynamic than what you'd expect |

| To be honest I like this way more than Bloom into You. While Bloom into You wasn't bad per se, I still didn't like how it portrayed yuri relationships as something dramatic, mysteric and overall a bit forced - something which, alas, we've commonly seen in yuri anime, many of which are obviously of a worse ilk than YagaKimi such as NTR or Citrus. On the other hand, Adashima seems much more natural in its approach to romance. While Adachi and Shimamura have different personalities, with the dark-haired Adachi somewhat more aloof than the blonde, free-spirited Shimamura (a contrast you can often find in yuri works), the difference is much more nuanced than what you would expect from the genre. And, most importantly, the two girls interact with each other on a mostly equal ground, avoiding the kind of senpai-kohai dynamic typically associated with shoujo ai that makes yuri love look like some kind of mysteric initiation. The fact the anime artwork looks charming and realistic (without any concession to silly chibi expressions and whatnot) also contributes to the show's genuine tone. I definitely look forward to the next episode - even if the show ended up being a more relaxed SoL without much plot or drama, I think I'll definitely enjoy it. |
