Yui is genuine because of her self-conflict, experiences, and emotions. Her struggle is more genuine than anything, it's because she is human. She is selfish, shes knows that and yet she try her very best to fight against it shows that. Hikki thinks about Yukino, but he also thinks about Yui as well. That's why in S2, their relationship is in a love triangle. If he doesn't harbor feeling for Yui, he can easily get with Yukino that time. Toward the end of the S2, Yui even brought this topic about their relationship upfront in their date. Hikki can tell Yui, Yui I'm aware of your feelings but I love Yukino. Simple as that and that won't even be a S3. When Yui did that, she is even more genuine because she is giving an opportunity for the two of them to confess to each other, and even so... Yukino didn't tell Hikki her feeeling for him. Yui knows she won't be picked and yet she still doing her best to make it work. To me, that's fking genuine. I'm sure I understand the subtext more than you do. Anyway if my opinions say Yui is genuine, you know that arguing with me would be pointless because you won't able to change my opinion at all. And if you think Yui is not genuine, that is fine with me because that is your opinion.

You genius boy, how could you get everything so wrong?

Thanks for the compliment. Nothing is right or wrong, it's our pov that makes it different. If so, what is wrong? Everything? Be more specific. Trying to bust an indirect Yukino or Hachiman? LOL

He is a delusional speedreader, he claims to have read the novels but a few fays ago he admited he only scanned the novels without reading them all, so it's only natural that he missed a lot of story points. If you want to get into serious debates with him, don't do it. It will only waste your time

If I'm delusional, then your a hypocrit. You the one that said you give up like few days ago. And yet your still around trying to prove this and that... so who is delusional now? Nah I'm sure you are the one who are not seeing things in the bigger picture. Yukino deluded your pov because she is your waifu, unlike myself I look at it in both pov. Your just butt hurt because I prove my argument makes more sense than yours and your still a hypocrit. If its a waste of time why are you still replying back? You lose, go somewhere else.

Finally one really good episode, now that mess of prom preparation was over. Irisviel Gahamama was great and I really liked those slice of life moments Hachiman had with Yui. Their chemistry worked really well for a change, when he gave it a chance. Really enjoyable atmosphere, almost felt like a different show.

The closing ceremony was also good, and it has very nice nostalgic feeling. All in all, this episode almost felt like an end.

Also, this:

In response to him: But you can, Hachiman, sometimes it's just simple as that. Do what makes you feel good. Cynism can only get you so far and why not having fun instead for a change when you like it?
(not to mention he was genuinly happy, not just granting her the wish. Sometimes I really wonder why he always thinks so negatively, it's not like they have any real problems in their age anyway. Just do it, be more spontaneous once, ffs)

Ah, yes, its looks like the last nostalgic event from Yui. No other way thats happening again. At least she got what she deserved, a nice cookie made for Komachi sake. I am happy, when in my other side, its just hard to believed that was the end. I was still had some smile, widening, when they just try hard to had some fun. Its hard, for both of them. Hachiman tried hard to pretend happy. And Yui, tried hard to kept her balance as strong as she could on it. Oh, my, they just, too good to be true. They were indeed held some great moments. But, in the end, everything must concluded. They should. So, at my understanding, lets move on to the important matter. Move on with this nice episode shall be good for your healthy heart. Lol.

I am glad. Everything just easy to understand, no complain. Eventhough maybe people had some hollow here and there. But, hey, Yui deserved what she needed at her last appearance. Because, the first girl always won the race, no matter what. So, this is a better situations. However, a fair share amount of the screen time among the two heroines seems to held the usual trouble, to maintain a better rhythm for both of them. I might feel into that way too. But, still, its in a normal limit for me. So, lets see the next one if they could changed what the most of people thing about the equilibrium for those two girls, i might be very happy about the end ....

Beside what happened, i still love how Iroha reacted nicely done when Hachiman and Yukino argued with each others. Its like, lmao, even she had more senses than those two people. Great conversation, as expected, from Iroha, my lovely kohai! And for mama gahama, ah, no complain about you too. You just deserved more screen time. But, heck, this is about your child struggling with her wrong youth life. So, yeah, its happening. Lol.

You can, meybe you somehow want It.

Even meybe you know It could work the best way.

But the thing with LOVE, at least for romantic ppl, is that its irrational, shakes up your world and you would do whatever to fight for it.

Yui is a clear example of it, massive fighter; easy to put yourself in her shoes...but ppl tend to forget 8man's feeling as well.

He loves Yukino since the very beginning, but he is a mess, and her being complicated doesnt help, but they love each other, and you cant just ignore that for the rest of your life choosing to give Yui a try, even if he likes and cares for her, or even if he is able to develop something genuine with her.

I also think that understanding love as an irrational force is the best for 8man life, so he learns to be a bit less self-conscious (and refute haruno's statement: you cant get drunk)

Nevertheless, sometimes i sit and think about life as a marathon, and how passionate love may be a thing of juveniles immaturity leading to failures and dissapointments, while choosing an allinall better partner grants you better chances at enyoying a beautiful life in the long run...specially considering you would end up probably loving that person as well, i would end up loving yui. 8man would end up loving yui...but he wants to stay true to his passionate feelings, he wants to love Emilia.

This was a really nice episode with some sweet moments between Yui & Hikki... but it's definitely the calm before the storm. I honestly have no idea how this going to end but I feel like Yui is gonna end up getting hurt.

I found it quite sad when Yui said it was her wish to grant Hikki's wish and he said 'I get a wish?'. As far as he's come, he clearly still sees himself and his feelings as unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

Man this show has been top 5 anime for me if not better throughout seasons 1 and 2, season 3 comes, and I find out that a lot of the shit has been cut out from the anime that was in the light novel in seasons 1, 2 and 3, and the shit being cut out is all yukino and yukino scenes or yukino related scenes. I just feel like if the anime was faithful to the LN that this show could have been even greater than it already is, especially since endgame is obvious, you would think that yukino scenes would not be cut out and it would be the other way around, or even better no scenes would be cut out. Way too many monologues from both hachiman and yukino have been cut out and scenes where hachiman admires yukino's beauty or thinks well of her and is captured by her or scenes where he is looking for her and just scenes with both hachiman and yukino that were not animated. It just makes me sad and disapointed that if the show was more faithful, heaps of people on the forum and viewers of the show would understand why yukino makes sense to be endgame and would have had us all yukino and non yukino fans like and appreciate her even more because it is genuinely bullshit that they cut out so many romantic scenes or romantic feelings and cute scenes between yukino and hachiman throughout all seasons but specifically cut out important yukino scenes and screentime in season 3 that honestly makes the show less enjoyable and if Yukino was integrated more in the show as if the show were to be fully faithful to the adaptation then we'd have three longer seasons, three more appreciated seasons as well as three seasons where the show is just genuinely better than it already has been/is and heaps more people would have loved the show and the storyline in it and would have liked yukino more and would have been way more one sided towards yukino/hachiman and just make the show overall heaps better especially if you look at the light novel's rating on MAL. Basically this show could have been the masterpiece of the original source but heaps has been taken away from yukino and has taken away the special effect which made people love this anime originally.

Man, these episodes always have so much going on and so much to uncover that I struggle to process, organise, and convey my thoughts on them.

The relationship between Hikki and Komachi this season continues to provide. Glad to see despite how different they are, they are close and really love each other as siblings.

Lots of Yui moments this episode, as expected. Not that I'm complaining, although at this point I sort of know that that's not the endgame. Still, it was really nice to see them chatting together there at the park at the swing. Yui was extra cute there, especially when she suddenly laughed. Her VA is doing a magnificent job and it just keeps getting better. As for the contents, it just feels like the calm before the storm. And it feels like Yui's... I'm not even sure what the word is. She's bright and cheerful and happy but actually that's not how she is on the inside. It's like she's facing an impending doom or climax of things, which is true. I saw this most clearly at that park scene, when she was looking off into the distance and we couldn't see her face.

More Gahamama moments are appreciated. Especially THIS much. I wonder if the true ending is Gahamama.

Especially loved the scene where Yui confidently answers that Hikki's favourite fruit is a peanut. Her smug and confident face was so cute, despite the fact that a peanut isn't even remotely close to what a fruit is.

It's been a while since we've seen Meguri-senpai. Always loved her character. She just gave off calm and kind vibes. Didn't know that Hikki liked Meguri-senpai that much though, but I totally understand why he would. She's kind to everybody, including Hikki himself. Her ad-libbed addition to the end of her speech was great! Sing a Song! Somehow that part and how it went directly to the credits after that was really satisfying and fitting.

Hikki's angry face at Yui pointing out how much he liked Meguri-senpai and saying strongly that everybody likes her was funny though. But even funnier was Irohasu's face after that lol

Only 3 episodes left... I'm anxious.

What a boring episode. It was so painful to watch. That’s too much of Yui already and I’m getting so sick of her. Even though I don’t like Yukinon that much, it still baffles me how this season was supposed to focus on her and her drama but it’s all about Yui instead. If Hikki does end up with Yukinon in the next episodes, it’s going to be handled so badly. Almost no development, not enough monologues/scenes between the two. Don’t even know how they will fix all of that in few episodes but oh well.

A lighthearted episode, but also yet another light episode in general. This season really has been one big stallfest, and what little consequential things that have happened were either obvious or regressive to what had come before. There isn't going to be enough room for a properly paced ending at this rate.

Good on you for pointing this out, a lot of people seem to be missing that this is a love triangle, not a friendzone triangle. Yui's been aware of it for a while, but all three of them are in the same catch-22: a desire to move past friendship with one club member into a romantic relationship (which puts the stability of the friendship at risk) coupled with a desire to maintain the group friendship (which means adding strain from repressed romantic urges).

I HAVE TO STOP watching the episodes late, but I liked the whole date scene in this with Yui. I was definitely correct that this season was more focused on Yui than Yukino. She has so much screentime this season.

We finally got a glimpse of some of the wishes Yui has for Hachiman, and considering the fact that she knew exactly what Hachiman was talking about, it sounds like Yukino already gave Yui the talk about how Yukino relinquished her wish privilege to Yui.

Yuigamama (and Yui) is so freaking adorable lol. I can see why Yukino envies Yui and her mom's relationship. Yui and Gahamama have this "friends" relationship. I also love how she wingwoman's for Yui.
Just seeing the family situation, it might be best for Hachiman to just marry into Yui's family cause it seems to be wayyy less drama and family politics and just straight up realness. This is coming from a Team Yukino lol.

So everyone is actually finally graduating. The ride to get to this point was crazy but it was fun. Excited to see how everything finally ends. Overall the episode felt lighthearted which is always a nice change of pace.

a very nice episode. Lovely all of it.

But damn, 9 episodes in, 3 to go. This season has really forgotten about Yukinon.

Its the Yui and Hachiman show this season 3.

Sometimes I do wonder, from what I have seen, if there is romance in the final 3 episodes or just friendship stuff

but so far so good

I am probably really spoiled , but was that peaches and pears talk not only about fruits?I mean types of female figures and there's also a bit of foreshadowing and subtext in it =)

Maybe I'm just overthinking as usual.

Prom is really on motion huh.

Yui is really enjoying this thing until it lasts. Sorry girl but you are not “it.”
Hachiman realizing about Yuigahama position and wanting to bend the conversation to an argument where that “matter” is not related. Also Hachiman telling Yui that he lost the competition between him and Yukino and he will grant any wish for Yui but at the same time Hachiman will also find a wish of his own.
Visitng Gaha-mama once again made the episode hilarious. Hachiman going to Yui’s house to prepare a gift for Komachi. Those moments were funny thanks to Gaha-mama.
Gahamama is so cheeky that it feels like she is a teen like them.
Another hot mama on my list.

Hiki being the one crying is hilarious. I felt a bit sad at the beginning of the speech.
