| Khun really stands out as the best character here. I thought Khun just had a bit of darker hair. It was so random when it turned out to be a handkerchief. lol. I have been trying my best not to say this, but Bam and Khun keep getting more and more shippable. That scene where Khun rested his head on Bam's lap completely melted me. Rachel wasn't as annoying as I thought she'd be. Still, I feel like I will grow to hate her. A group of extremely powerful players not causing trouble for the protagonist is something I have never seen in a popular story. Still, the sudden teaming up was surprising. Khun had three people in his bag. No wonder the bag got stuck when he had to pass through the water. The blond guy with the mole is kind of likeable, but I feel like he'll also cause trouble later. |

| Damn a lot of cameo this episode with the red hair girl and Urek Mazino of all things. The tower is gonna get stirred up real good. Also watching Bam as the ignorant fool in his early stages is a real pain in the ass. |

| Man time really flies when you watch an episode of Tower of God. Like when you watch other animes, you can really feel 20+ minutes of your life passing by as you're watching an episode (yeah instead of watching your pending online lectures or doing your assignments or doing anything sensible) but then there's an episode of Tower of God. You click on the episode and BAMM (tryna make that sound man, dont mean our simp black turtle hero BAM - no pun intended) the next thing you notice is the Ending song being played (which again you play 10 times because you can't get enough of it). Bam is night in Korean, and since it's translated as Bam in the English translations on the Webtoon app, the subtitles Crunchyroll use have Bam. But in Japanese, night is Yoru so when it airs, they have the voice actors/actresses pronounce Yoru instead of Bam. Essentially both mean the same thing (night) but Japan has it as Yoru to get the meaning 'night', and Crunchyroll retained Bam since that's what the Webtoon uses in translations. |

| Another nice episode, although not as good as the previous one. I thought the Rachel reveal was anticlimactic (maybe there will be more to it in the upcoming episodes) and the animation was inconsistent. Some great sequences and some not so great sequences. |

| It was a pretty good episode, I didn't expect it to end that way. Though on the other hand, I didn't expect our main trio to win either. I'm not really all that into any of Rachel's team, the girl with heels is not an archetype I really enjoy all that much. Hopefully, we'll get development on her. I like Bam when he's with the guys of his team as they tend to balance out his more blase tendencies. However, when he's with Rachel, he becomes really bland again. I wasn't expecting Rachel to protect Bam, but I still don't trust her and I'll be happy when she leaves once again (which she will obviously do soon). I like the interactions between Hansung and Lero Ro, though I like Lero more than Hansung. I'm not sure why they need all those rules and was a bit confused at what they meant by all that talk of why they organized the whole thing. But I'll be interested in seeing the next test. Also, a little annoyed that Anaak took Bam's sword. My favorite male character is still Khun. I luv him so much He's like Loki and Killua all rolled into one. My favorite type of character. I'm beginning to ship him and Bam. He would totally be better for him than absent Rachel over there. I don't have a favorite female yet. Perhaps Serena for how funny she is? Totally ship SerenaxShibisu. I liked the reason for Kuhn's bag getting stuck, how many people can that guy fit in that Mary Poppins bag? Could he literally carry his whole team? |
| 5 episodes in and I will still continue to say that the only thing the series really has going for it is the obvious mysterious elements (hopefully they're not ending up as blatant "sore-thumb" plot holes, but I'm not far into the manga to make a proper judgment for that part). While I will say that anime does at least have an edge in the obvious department of audiovisuals, the presentation of storytelling and characters hasn't improved much at all. It again goes back to the lack of needed context. Then again, I don't remember the spirit of the Black March literally DIOing the entire place to stop Baam from violating their previous deal. As for that........well........Baam Ex Machina....if I remember correctly, the translations from the manga stated that the "GodWater" acted on its own will in response to Baam's will, desire, or whatever it may be that involving him essentially forfeiting the game to protect his boo....I mean, female friend. As silly as I still think that moment was, at least his decision wasn't all that ill-advised, as the Crown Game was essentially a bonus game. So yea, the whole script had become more extended due to these events, cause Baam's adventure has been deprived of a shortcut....lol There's a lot of food for thought here, but nothing necessarily positive to speak of. I know I'm obviously in the minority here, but when you've watch or at least known a lot of shows with this sort of setup or characters, it's not as easy to be impressed or sold on it anymore. |
