I am bit confuse is this movie going to recap episodes we haven't seen or it will recap Season 3 content which we saw. I am asking because I have read in the other site it will be conclusion of season 3 here I am reading it is going to be recap of season 3.

I'm really clueless like the movie is named first inspector but the first inspector is just a part of the story not like he covers up the whole story but he does for the majority.

Also I refuse to believe that this is a recap

Seems like the article has removed it being a recap. Guessing the movie will be essentially the last 2-3 episodes of the season. And so far there is yet to be any recaps in the series so i'd be very surprised if we get one now.

Objectivity? In my anime scoring? Of course not...

Its probably a continuation and if the duration is actually 2 hours considering anime episodes is around 20 minutes (without op and ed) this means we'll have 6~episodes.And the putting the 8 episodes of 45 minutes into normal length that makes 16 episodes.16+6=22 which is the same length as Season 1

Its guaranteed gonna be a continuation and maybe fill in the blanks of the story that were missing from Psycho Pass Season 3 since "spoilers" in case you cannot understand the translation from dat incredibly short trailer quoting Shindou, Arata!!
- "I will end your game Azusawa!!" Which by the way hints the fact that Azusawa is going to succeed into becoming a "congressman" also not sure about Azusawa's voicelines but I think he said "Good morning its showtime long ago" or something I really hope its not a "full continuation" of the story cuz I personally think there is going to be a lot to cover we still have absolutely no clue why our favorite main character Akane got jailed by Sibyl system.. (which may be why people are hinting this is a recap becacause they obviously want to find out what happened to Akane...)

On Another note I really hope this isn't a full continuation but only introduces the fight that is going to happen between Arata and Kei and Azusawa behind the crimescenes of Public Safety Bureau!! Kind of like how the movies introduced us to new characters etc before putting out a new season altho I beg to differ another season is going to happen cuz I am not sure how much more content they have planned this isnt really based on a manga its a Original anime Its probably really going to depend on how well the movies are recieved by the audience! But I am so hoping theres going to be more I love Psycho Pass <3

So how are they going to answer the majority of the questions that the left totally untouched by the end of season 3, while adding even more in the last episode? Either they will rush it or the movie won't conclude anything and will be another setup for a 4th season, something that might make me get tired of this series by the end tbh.

Tbh S3 pales a lot since it deviated from Psycho Pass, esp Crime coefficient related to some mcguffin supernatural mental trace and uber stealth Bifrost and most importantly the immigration politics, in this current age of expansive west PC injection.

I hope this movie holds a much better story and pacing, plus depth of characters than SS3 and PP movie. If not it'll end up in a whimper. It also should be based off Urobuchi not Tow Ubukata, the latter killed GITS in it's entirety.

Tbh you are stating the truth. Ubukata tried to do something that is "Psyco Pass" in season 2 but he failed miserably. Season 3 was fine for me based on Tow standards not season 1 standards. For me the governor episode 4 and her whole story is when I really lost hope with this writer. But tbh the 2 new heros seem like fine characters unlike some low quality characters he introduced in season 2

The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web and other news services reported on December 13 that Psycho-Pass 3: First Inspector is a compilation film. However, Fuji TV confirmed with ANN on February 19 that the film is not a compilation film.

The film will conclude the story of season 3 on the case of the "Foxes" being pursued by Unit 1, the Bifrost mystery, and Arata and Kei's battle. The film will have a returning cast and staff.

That is honestly quite a lot to impactfully conclude in the course of a single film... Unless it is, well 3 hours long. Either way it will sure be impactful, overall, and I hope the film is being made with the direction the whole story is taking in mind. By which I wish season 3 did not end up an isolated story, but rather would ultimately lead to a conclusion to the whole Psycho Pass, one day.
