Great episode, Rock confronting Revy like that was a turning point in my opinion of him, glad they came to terms with each other ^^

Exactly how I felt. This episode easily made me add him to the list of MCs I admired.

Lol at what Balalaika did

We often get Pocky games. But what about cigarette games? XD

Amazing episode. I really enjoyed how this developed Rock and Revy at the same time. There's no action but the resolution of conflicts made up for it. Episodes like this are nice every once in a while.

5/5 episode and that cigarette kiss was unique and romantic as well. I hope it gets even more better from here on out.

that cigarette scene at the end tho. Rock is slowly adapting to this kind of life and Revy either chooses to ignore that or doesn't notice.

MA FAV EPISODE PERIOD. (sorry for yelling)

This episode really reminded me of why Black Lagoon's a top 30 anime for me minimum for years now. Awesome episode, and Rock cut a promo like The Rock on Revy, was pretty sure he was going to People's Elbow her ass at one point given the tension in the air.

But seriously, Rock was fucking awesome. He showcased a lot about what potential he has in the world of negotiation when it comes to deals with underground, illegal companies/businesses from his background back when he was surrounded in the business world. Plus, his rant against Revy for her actions at the sunken ship and even from his observations of her personality in general felt so genuine and raw in the dub, he meant every single word of that shit and was not intimidated one bit, even when Revy pulled a gun on him and punched him. There are things in this world that you can't do with the help of a gun. And Rock proved that out there. He's had a tough life of his own, being betrayed by his boss and company as they wanted to protect themselves so badly that they wrote him off essentially as dead just to hide their behinds + he's had to kiss ass to his superiors all the time even when he hated it to survive and make a living. He's not trying to have a dick measuring contest with Revy on who's suffered the most, but they're both different people with different experiences and one's using that as an excuse to run away from reality and try to kill and steal for the sake of satisfying her bloodlust while victimizing themselves, and the other one's trying to change their life for the better and live free from the expectations of kissing ass to others and embracing a new lifestyle where they don't victimize anyone including themselves.

The sort of truce at the end with the cigarette kiss was beautiful too, and incredibly fitting for the nature of the show. What a great episode for Rock to shine, especially characterization wise for himself and his relationship and standing with Revy, who's never been argued with like that when it comes to shit outside the business world as she puts her trust in no one on a personal level, alienating herself emotionally to not let herself get fucked over anymore like she was in the past. So reality in a sense hit her hard with Rock's rant and hopefully this is a platform for her character to evolve with time beyond just existing and breathing for violence, money and power.

Things got real this episode. These conversations should be why you watch this show. Black lagoon is a cool name but I’d call it Ultimate Tsundere lol

This series has too much personality and I did not expect the part of the M club or the gangster nuns and especially the censorship.

I'm glad they didn't just sweep it under the rug like a lot of shows do until the final few episodes for some sort of climax. Great development for both Rock and Revy, adn I hope they can grow to trust each other more, even if it's not a romantic kind of trust. Also, that cigarette scene at the end really moved me, and it was really nice.

This episode is probably the reason why I loved this series, the whole conversation between Rock and Revy truly sums up how screwed up their relationship is in the show and makes the series even more obviously bleak then it already was, truly top tier story telling through and through.

Holy crap this episode literally changed my opinion about Rock, I was pissed off at bro being clumsy asf and losing the painting and shit but him standing up to Revy and her hard headed ass๐Ÿ’€ I liked the cigarette scene at the end too showing they both reconciled their differences๐Ÿ’ฏ

Okay Rock! Stand your ground! Made Revy waver

Rock really been developing over time. I was surprised he talking his way with that Nun. Guess he isn’t your average wimp.

That cigarette kiss tho…are we expecting Revy x Rock???

This has got to be the best episode of this show so far. Lots of character development between Rock and Revvy here. While Rock might not be a killing machine like Revvy, tech savvy like Benny or have leadership skills like Dutch does, Rock's skills lie in his swaying prowess. He's able to negotiate the pants off of the head nun about the shipments. I don't think I've ever seen anything before that had gangster nuns before but it's a first for everything. XD

I was deeply impressed with the fact that Rock just stood up to Revvy like that and put her in her place. He had clearly gotten to his limit and who could blame him? The cigarette scene at the end was sweet as well.

I know the focus of this episode was Revy and Rock's confrontation/reconciliation but I just wanted to say those characters from the church seemed really fun. I hope we get to see more of them later, lol

This episode is a bit more mundane than the previous action-packed duology about the Nazi painting. It is a welcome change of pace to watch Rock and Revy run some more mundane errands. I really enjoyed seeing the club, church, and market. Seeing all the different locations and people of Roanapur really helps to flesh it out and make the setting more lively. Lastly, the conflict between Rock and Revy is finally addressed. We get a clear picture of Rock's view on the situation, while Revy's thoughts are kept vague, but it is satisfying enough.

I'm going to be completely honest. I thought Revy was a complete bitch up to this episode. I understood her character, but her brash nature made me dislike her. This being my first anime in about 4 years, I wanted to give it a chance and see it to the end. I'm only up to this episode currently, and by GOD it ended on SO much of a higher note than I ever could've imagined. Still shaking. So so so so so so good. I love Revy now, case closed.

This is THE episode, still as beautiful as I remembered! The embarrassed, emotionally shaken side of Revy is too cute ♥ Sexual tension ayo, sailed with this ship since day one ๐Ÿšฌ
Even after many years, seeing Rock not only negotiating but standing up for himself makes me feel things, along with feeling sorry for those who dropped this show and considered him a lame, useless weakling. You ain't seen nothing yet~
