I was kind of scared with how many people I saw crapping on this next arc after season 4, but it honestly wasn't bad. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!
welp as a anime only this episode while being a beach episode so super fanservicey was just fine but the foreshadowing of this new character suckkkksssss everything about him not to mention how forced he seems to be into Soma's dad's past ,honestly i prepared myself for this season so i'm gonna try my best to enjoy it even if i end up hate watching it (not like we got a ton of stuff to watch this season).
and i'll pretend this season is non cannon and a what if story Shokugeki ended with season 4

I bet people will lose there minds on the ntr vibes if they go true source material but since the next one is called blue preliminaries maybe they will skip some of the worst parts but I doubt it. As someone who despises ntr I immediately spoiled myself in source material. I really hope they choose a different le dessert route then the never finished just imagine the future route. Damn I know it’s going to disappoint
Ahh shit, I'm so not ready for what is about to come. This is going to be a shitstorm, and here i am praying that it goes original somewhere near the end (wich most likely won't happen at all). As for episode standards, yeah, this was good so far, this arc wasn't that bad tbh, but that's as far as it goes unfortunately. I'm actually curious to see how JC Staff will handle this season lol.

3. the villain made proper advances towards Erina and wants to MARRY HER her and actually put his hands on her before.Soma hasn't even come close to doing the same (the villain keep flirting with erina and has more moments with erina (he carried her while she was unconscious, spending time with her in the office having some tea bring her roses bouquet).
Beach arc:
4. the villain kidnapped erina and released her later and she didn't took any action like sue him or put him under arrest for what he did !?.
Final arc BLUE:
5. evil dark chefs mafia and clowns and cooking with some kind of a weapon (making whipped cream with CHAINSAW and baking with Dynamite and more).
6. yuki morosaki was not involved in the blue arc (Morisaki is the brains of all the recipes used in the series.The series officially lists her as a "collaborator").
7. the villian also defeated both 3-0 eishi and megumi without analyze or describe the dishes just straight up results.
8. the villain has one of superpower BS (the ability to gain the chef's skill when he takes their main chef tool,an example is if he takes saibas knife he gains all his years of experience as a chef and adds it to his skill).
9. what erina did something useful in the BLUE ? NOTHING.
10. removed 70% of cooking from the manga (entire cooking sequences skipped meaning showing only results).
11. the usage of the characters are not that emphasize so much compared to previous arcs.the story just revolves on the protag and the antag.

13. Erina's mother finally who's the judge in BLUE. She's even colder than Azami towards Erina and she doesn't accept her food .
14. dealing with nakiris issues,drama again.
15. rushed (because too many people dropped it in the BLUE and the sales of the manga wasn't going very well (sales: vol.31 (280740) - vol.35 (178355)), so they have to end it fast).

16. (CH 315,1) i consider it the WORST PART: erina who just woke up from her nightmare (WON) the blue tournament without any efforts. (showing only results) !!!? so who is the protagonist again of this series souma or erina ??? soma travelled when he lost to erina in the blue tournament because of his mood.

(CH 315.2) the author be like: i can fix that (which was unnecessary), all of sudden it turns out that the annoying villain which is out of nowhere is actually HALF BROTHER ,the one who WANTS TO MARRY ERINA HIS SISTER !!? they just discovered long lost brother and he didnt even knew that . just to undone the NTR , end of my shokugeki no souma NTR rant. let's forgive asahi's actions because his backstory was tragic and forget everything like nothing happened and move on like any other shonen we must forgive and sympathize with the villian in the end.
18. (CH 315.3) WORST PLOT TWIST that nobody likes it or cares about it: the annoying villain incest asahi half brother became a part of the family with more screen time and better ending than souma in 2 last chapters .
19. (CH 315.3) souma finally appeared in the final chapter (he didnt appeared in the previous chapters), and yet AGAIN the author keep showing us HINTS AGAIN and the author decided to make some progress souma x erina in the epilogue!? which u didn't have time to make progress when u r at the final stage epilogue instead of ending up together they skipped 8 YEARS not 3 or 4 but 8 YEARS and showing us in ambiguous way that they begin to realize their feeling using inner monologue instead of verbally speaking.
20. not even showing souma's new skills after what he learned from traveling or the dish that he's about to serve in the end instead we got disgusting food like really .
21. open ended cliffhanger without a proper closure, both in terms of cooking and romantic relationship. (The End) .

For the ending of the blue it wasn't satisfying, asahi beat saiba was also a bad idea, i found that the weapons and these were good, smth incredible, erina character regressed then go to the top, i found it good but yes its more about erina the end. Hebmanaged to correct it in le dessert, he turned the villain into a good person like most of shonen but the half brother side was'nt good, it was funny but a bad idea, and as you said, the story of soma's mother was interesting. I think he didnt made erina say its delicious to keep the tsundere character but soma said he will make her say it but he did'nt.
Its okay. Even with these its still a good arc, not at level of before but i still can't say it's trash.

I personally loved this episode! There was a ton of great moments, and Soma and the Elite Ten kept being like themselves with a comeback-story how they usually do.
The new teacher is obviously being fleshed out to be a new antagonist so I'm curious as to how that will work out, and the BLUE arc will be a ton of fun!

Looks like we're back into the thick of things with Food Wars! This time we're starting things off with a good old beach episode, a nice welcome treat which satisfies the senses in more ways then one as I gaze at my waifu in a swimsuit lol. Jokes aside, it was a nice and fun little episode. Shady guy seems to have something on his mind and this BLUE competition seems like the next trial for Souma and crew to overcome.
Don't know what that rich kid was thinking considering how he never won a fight before, but I guess you can't blame the guy for trying when the model of the school is based on unrestricted competition.
Oh I missed the fun times I had with you Food Wars. I have good expectations for you based off this episode.

Let the descent into false NTR hell begin. Say goodbye to all the great character dynamics and overarching plot points that was spread out over this entire series. The plot is about to get cucked. At least there was whole tiddies going around and randomly censored nude silhouettes. Nice to hear this series in Japanese again, the English dub airing on Toonami is beyond awful.
I feel like I was conned by the manga readers.I was in for a shitstorm but the episode was kinda enjoyable.Since it's Shokugeki we get the slideshow presentation as usual.I felt it was kinda fast paced.7/10 for now.Can't wait for "Za Blue" which is critically acclaimed by the manga readers.

I really thought at first that this Suzuki guy had the voice of Machio-san... shame this is not the case! I don't like him though..
The place the Elite 10 has to use really is run down to it's core! They are the Elite 10 for a reason and managed to pull through!! Megumi was impressive, for someone who is easily shaken by her nerves, she managed to handle so much customers on her own! Best girl doing her best!!!
Now, I can't wait to see what this the Blue is going to be like!

They didnt skip it. They ended the last season with it. You probably forgot it since it was summarized in 2 minutes. Why did they took away the last moment Megumi had a chance to shine? Even after a year I am still salty about it. It was the best arc involving a Noir

I know what happened in the manga but I am living with 0.99% hope that the story will change....
I just want Souma to win against erina cause duh it's shokugeki no Souma not erina and also I want them to end up confessing to each other not that shitty ending which was given!

I really don't care about that new teacher or whatever his plans are, why can't i just enjoy a cooking anime without there being some supervillain trying to take over. I really disliked Azami. If anyone has some good cooking anime to recommend, i would be grateful!

I wonder how J.C. will keep making small changes to hopefully improve this arc, as I noticed there were a couple of changes when looking back at the manga. Though it was a good start, I'm not setting my expectations high for this season.
