That was actually very moving, I have to say. She even refers Nariyuki as her adorable "little brother" and decides to lock her feelings away for the sake of Nariyuki. It was what her heart told her to do as Uruka told her to follow her heart. And her heart told her to wish for Nariyuki's happiness. First Sensei, now Fumino. The manga is over. |

Because we are in the end game and end girl will obviously get more focus? How many times do I have to tell you? The similarities with being genki girls and sharing a past really mean nothing much when Uruka constantly came to Nariyuki's mind with each event that preceded it because she actively tried to make him notice her feelings. An example would be even in the festival dual chapters when Nariyuki gets stranded with Fumino after failing to catch the last train. There was a single page where he looked at Uruka and blushed because of what happened with her in an earlier chapter with a monologue and reference point supporting them. No heroine got these kinds of follow-ups as much as she did. Anything that happened with Uruka kept on showing up as the manga progressed. Other heroines also got those moments but not as regular follow-ups. There are tons of them. Ignoring them is the same as not following the manga. Also, Uruka actively tried to confess and it's incredible how people say she kept on shooting her own foot when in most cases it was something out of her control - being told that he has someone he likes (post Rizu kiss), misunderstood as practice (pool scene), misunderstood as liking someone else herself (infirmary scene), being told that he is not into romance because his exams come first (post noodle bar walk), suddenly being asked to confirm if it was him (same chapter), even when she was about to say that her chocolates were "honmei" (yes, the Japanese release says "Ho") she got caught by his family. OT: Not everyone is like Nino. But that was also the point where the other manga was at its very best. It started to become weaker by arcs and then weaker by chapters and then a complete garbage. She also kept her own promise that she would tell him when he is done with the exams. What's wrong with that? She never "used" anyone in an underhanded method to reach him either. She never ever held any "repulsive" emotions towards others as well. She never once wore two faces. When she said she finds Rizu adorable, or Fumino very beautiful or Sensei very appealing, she said what she exactly thought of them. She even shared Nariyuki's middle school pictures with Fumino and Rizu, letting them have an opportunity to experience how Nariyuki was like. Do you still not see the differences between her and the other girl from that series? If they are both fruits baskets, she is like a basket filled with deep red apples and ripe red plums. The other one is like a basket full of tangerines and oranges (similar to her character colour). You really don't know if she is really sweet or sour on the inside. Just because they are both fruits baskets, you cannot say they are basically the same. So, don't drag her down to the other girl's level. It's not very amusing. |

And she admits that the one who liberated her was Uruka. This is a monumental moment for her character who always analyzed others and thought she understood them better (because of her grasp in literature). She underestimated Uruka and Rizu. And more importantly she robbed herself from her chance to tell Nariyuki that she loved her. She will now pay the price. But in return she feels that it will be her redemption. This is a very powerful moment for Fumino's character whether you admit it or not. Even in front of Nariyuki, the one she had loved but neglected her own feelings for, the one she recalled at the very moment was Uruka's words of kindness. I already said it in the previous chapters' discussions. Uruka's biggest quality is how kind she is to others. That alone became her winning card. I am glad at least one manga is returning the favour of someone who is kind. |

(Mentoring, advice, cheering, supporting to one for another specially in times of trouble and last "never to fall in love to a person who will always be mentoring on it)... That's why in Chapter 133, she say to Nariyuki "I like you" but deep into her heart says "I love you" and in chapter 142 show that she trying to kiss Nariyuki but she resist it because she never want to betrayed to a person specially he fall in love to Uruka... |

The hints are all over the manga. It's 120+ chapters worth of content. The first hint was in chapter 25 so I am making it easy for you. Compare her chapters, Nariyuki's reactions, responses AND monologues revolving around her to others. It will reveal itself. And for the content of the spoiler, I always knew who would be the winner in that story. But that never stopped me from loving the one you were rooting for. I love all of them. So, anyone being chosen would hurt me anyways. Cannot have that for Bokuben. Uruka is the only true heroine who deserves Nariyuki's affection more than anyone else. It's not because of her past history with him. It is much more than that. It's her continued selflessness and the affection she has shown for him. If anyone wants to prove why Fumino, Sensei, Rizu or Senpai deserves his affection more, the floor is now open. |

| This is by far one of the most unsatisfying conclusion for the rejected girls (they aren't even literally rejected, just didn't have the balls to confess) in a harem manga. At least Negi gave us some nice sauce before having the other girls rejected but this one not only does sensei keeps her feelings to herself but Fumino as well and I don't even wanna begin with how Rizu was treated... and where the heck is Asumi lol. Call it fanservice or not but at least Negi had the balls to actually have the girls confess to the MC and get their personal Fuu time before having an end girl, whereas here Nariyuki remains oblivious to the other girls feelings. I would have seriously prefered Fumino,Rizu,Mafuyu and Asumi confess and get rejected than what we got. This feels so empty. I don't like characters that holds themselves back unless there's a deep rooted reason for it that I can accept. I like Fumino and Mafuyu a lot but damn... This is a continuation that started in chapter 25. It had the chapter title: "Beginning of the struggle" which was brought back with the Nari-Father's words in the previous chapter. Uruka and Nariyuki's roles completely got reversed since her confession. The "struggle" was then also moved over to him completely. So will be the eventual "promise". And this time, it will be initiated by Nariyuki instread of her. The exact opposite of Ch. 91. It seems smooth sailing because of her inactive role in her own arc. But if you analyze the arc, it is actually not her arc. But Nariyuki's. This is why it is the "end game" arc. I also pointed out that the official title of this arc is not accurate. I know my share of Japanese and I will stick with the "The Ephemeral Little Mermaid gets drenched to the skin by the Promised [X]". It's used metaphorically which can also mean "emotionally overwhelmed" and more often than not "due to ecstasy". It almost refers to a happy ending. The arc went from confusions to doubts to considerations to struggles to realization to hopelessness to giving up to encouragement to determination. I do not have to word it what comes next. From Uruka's character pov it may look like smooth, it was anything but from Nariyuki's pov. This was basically Nariyuki's arc all along. The manga will end in 3 to 12 chapters. The final volume, if happens, will cover "what are they doing now" chapters. And no "prove that you love her" nonsense. |

The first one showed they might be bound together in the future. This will MAKE them bound together in the future. The variance tended to 0 and the probability tended to 1. This is basically S;G. |

| This is developing better than I thought it would. I do wish the other girls would have received a little more closure but it seems they at least accept his feelings for Uruka. As much as I loved sensei neither her nor senpai were realistically going to be end girl. |

| Jeeeesus This is totally going to take the sappy "Don't get on that plane" or "I will wait for you" type of ending. I don't know what to say, this is simply such a bad writing. As of now Sensei and Kominami are basically scrapped, both Fumi and Rizu are left lying to themselves and being hurt because Yuiga couldn't even properly say no to them and all we have is Yuiga screaming like a baby le "me want to see Uruka" when Fumino and Rizu are """supporting""" his back. I'm not even that much against Uruka taking the cake, I'd be fine with anyone. But this writing is just so bad... All of that development for Asumi and Fumi finally realizing that they do like him only for one to get erased and the other seal away her feelings without any response. I will finish the manga since we're not more than 4-5 chapters till the end but my god is this finale not enjoyable to read. In the end we peaked around the mid part of the manga, all that's left is for us to watch this tran derail itself in peace. |
| Of course Fumi and Rizu got their first heartbreak, but they aren't lying themselves. They accepted both their feeling and result it came with. |
