| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I've been pretty tolerant up until now, but this horrific bland-trocity poops all over the OVA. Where's Jeff? Who the hell is Mickey and why is she doing all the work? And why does the Magic look so lame? This finale is weak stuff. |
| Akane is one of the prettiest giantesses I've ever seen in anime, and these giantess moments were pure gold. Unfortunately, I did not like all these wacky development involving Mickey and all these uber-looking sorcery coming from her. |
| This ending could have been executed a lot better. I like the idea of Jinno being the physical manifestation of Sae's thoughts. Jinno knows everyone through Sae, and constantly pushes everyone to stop being hesitant to expressing their thoughts and feelings, including Sae. Because of this, however, everything spirals out of control, as everyone fights back against Jinno's influences. At one point, it seemed like Jinno was the show's antagonist, but as it turns out, the main characters were their own enemies. It's interesting that Sae seemed aware of everyone's feelings, and through Jinno, tried to get everyone to stop messing around. This included Sae as well, as Jinno scared Sae into disliking magic. In a sense, she knew her own issues regarding admitting her feelings to Takeo and refused to confront them. That being said, it was real awkward trying to get to this conclusion. I honestly didn't think Magic User's Club really needed a plot, it could have just been crazy school antics with a magical twist. But, as it is, I did enjoy its art and animation, which were still as energetic as the OVA. I just didn't think it would get as introspective as it did. |
| Jinno was something inside of Sae, and now she's scared to death of magic. There is good and bad magic, and the club has done many great things with magic. Hopefully, she'll realize this. |

Sae may have been mentioning Micky in every episode but she has no presence or history with the other characters as far as the audience has seen but now everyone is taking her lead. It's like she's a bad fanfiction character who takes over the story. Given that the OVA stated that Takakura found the grimoire and wand in a box in a cave it's pretty weird there's just this girl who's father i is a wizard. |
