I don't think having regenerative powers would make someone actually immortal.

Also, seems there's a serial murderer on the loose. Yikes, with every episode, the mystery thickens with developing events. One thing I'm really curious about that medicine is how to it can really affect the human population as a whole.

lmao, indeed a yikes. Makiko's a psychiatrist? more like a psychopath. interesting to see what's the purpose for extracting brains from her victims

that Boogiepop confrontation was really nice, Makiko was like in a cage with a natural predator. and Boogiepop's explanation was quite legit as well, in a world where so much shit's happening, people tend to be on the edge, some have that potential of becoming an enemy to the society and some overflow with it and snap

The psychologist became a psychopath. How ironic. What causes the power. I understood everything that Boogiepop (Touka) said while he was in the office. This series covers very interesting and philosophical topics.

This doctor lady is a sick mother fucker....Her finding that bottle was the worst thing that could happen

I am going to thoroughly enjoy watching her fall, but I will say that I also enjoyed seeing her just get schooled by Boogiepop in the hospital....Their ideological discussion was pretty thought provoking

"Those who are content with being normal have no resistance." Ignorance is bliss...

Makiko thrives on fear. Don't do drugs kids.

That was definitely a quote that stuck with me. The whole idea was interesting, because it's kind of true. The doctor said it's called the "normalcy bias", so I'll have to search that up.

The people who are different and outcast for it are the ones who will evolve, right? And will be less likely to turn into enemies of humanity.

Spot on. This was one magnificently evil lady.

Well Makiko is completely psycho. It is interesting how she mentions being a coward her whole life and then the ability she gains from the evolution drug is seeing peoples fears. Not sure if it's also what drove her to gain pleasure from literally eating peoples fears. She was probably always a bit crazy, but to put it in boogiepops terms: "normal" enough to get tipped over the edge when discovering that drug.

A psychiatrist named Makiko Kisugi works at the hospital where Kirima was been treated. Makiko met Kirima and talked about Kirima's recovering. Makiko revealed how she has become a serial killer after using tha residues of the drug used by Kuroda on Kirima. A man found a corpse in the park, authorities say that the killer must have medical knowledge to extract the brain. Makiko visited a patient at night, consuming a little of his blood. Makiko received Miyashita for multiple personality, she accessed to talk to Boogiepop, who revealed her that she's doing some things (murders), Miyashita and her mother left.

Continuing with the origins, one of the first enemies for Boogiepop, I think, this woman that got invoved in some way with Towa Organization and supernatural things started to happen. Well, Makiko experimented with the drug and discovered some properties using it on rats, later she started to use it on her and she got the ability to take out her eye for example, but it also gave her an insatiable thirst of blood and brains I think (at the beginning I thought Towa Organization was taking those brains for experiments).

I think that that girl in the restaurant is a younger Suema.

Makiko is completely psycho. It seems that Boogiepop is aware of her.

God, the first half of this episode made me so uncomfortable... pried open mandibles, a rat being crushed, the woman being alone with that poor guy and taking out her eye with her hand and sucking his blood, and then the guy pissing himself... I just don't like to see this kind of stuff, lol. The doctor is so different than how she was last episode, she was so scared and even a bit goofy, now she turned full psycho. I wanted Boogiepop to whoop her ass then and there.

The dialogue is so fast even the dubs can't catch up sometimes. Snake lady is so cool, wanting to eat people's fear and all.

There is some kool conversations happening in this episode, but not much action actually happens. not sure if that is such a bad thing. It seems to be starting to directly connect to phantom now. "I wonder what a frightened nation would taste like. A community creates a shared weakness. Threats to the world can be found anywhere.
My then I guess they’re not that scary. A lovely song…nothing about it is wasteful and it doesn’t contain an ounce of fear."
