This episode gave me some Ni no Kuni II vibes. The animal kingdom/realm with a country with living beasts.

It's another cute episode that develops more into their world. Pretty colorful fluff. There's also some actual political drama rather than action so that's something.

Got to meet Gajeru's sister who's quite amusing. The group went sightseeing and saw some nice places. That protest wasn't going well so the Spirit King had to convince the mayor to change his mind. Everything is okay now.

I think my favorite thing about this show is how it lampshades itself.

"Hey, why were we even here this episode?"
"Who cares? All's well that ends well."
"Nnn! Nnn!"

"They're all friends again. If only reality could be like this."
"EVERYBODY, CLAP YOUR HANDS!"

"PLUS ULTRA!"

It might just be me but mimosa looks a lot like lana from pokemon sun and moon just with horns and green hair. this episode had some kemono friends vibes it even did the part where they ask questions before they go to commercial. I laughed hard when erika was describing campanella and that apparently there's a lot of them out there and that their campanella is just lazy.

So many Kemono Friends references... The whole "sugoiii, tanoshiii... " thing during the tour must have been them making fun of Serval-chan's dialogue.

This anime never disappoints. Such a sugoi and tanoshii episode. Most underrated anime of the season. I love it.

The part where Liza says she is very smart and Choco hit her. It looks like a reference to something by I have no idea what.

The mayor firing Yumiru is a direct swipe at the firing of Kemono Friends director Tatsuki.

Oh wow...the Kemono Friends vibe sticks all over...

And even the protests, it imitates the real world perfectly, from on-board protesting to signing petitions, it's just splendid.

The 5-star Nero-sensei is back...just for a signature, no effect this episode!

The mayor still doesn't resign to the facts...until the Spirit King comes and interferes in the making.

What a good episode...so underrated is this series :(

P.S. Can't get enough of Choco's 4th wall breaks...and Wiseman's 4th wall actually made sense, even for a moment.

I feel like I'll look back on this show and remember it more for the attempts at social commentary and self-awareness than the zany humor. This episode did feel much more confused when it comes to the commentary in comparison to past attempts, but it was still plenty of fun to watch.

There was the whole comment on work visas being way more of a hassle than tourist visas (because they're way more expensive nowadays). The money-grubbing literal cash cow mayor who replaced a trap with a bunch of girls supposedly. Then people rioted for him to get his job back... was that all supposed to be alluding to gender politics in the US because it sort of missed the point of everything it was mocking.

Then the "Let's make the town great again" line when Yumiru got his job back to make sure we know it's about Trump... but what did any of it mean??

There was a Kemono Friends type intermission and the "Animal Friends" thing Yumiru said. So much stuff going on in this episode but I can't make heads or tails of what the point was.

Seriously, I'm going to rate this anime with 10 only to raise its score to the one I believe it deserves (a 7,1 at least), it's so underrated and only because the majority wanted something more "serious" or "common" :/.

The Kemono Friends feel of the episode was great, and even tho I haven't seen KF I instantly thought of it. I also must say that Yumiru is the second trap I might probably and possibly dig (first one would be Megumu :P). Really good episode, waiting for the fanservice one :3.

I think you're overlooking some things, it was an episode about Kemono Friends and what happened with its director.

Ah ok, I see what you mean, how he got fired and fans protested (but he didn’t get his job back so like what was that ending about). So it was still commenting on mobile games because Kemono was a mobile adaptation, and all the cash cow stuff was about how companies would rather get their money than invest in a creative work.

I guess the visa and America related lines could have just been on the part of the translators rather than how it was actually meant to be interpreted

So they got people to start a riot and started a petition... What a great idea. They even got the King involved. And thanks to the comments, here I have a need to check out more info on Kemono Friends -w-

Yup, that's what I meant, because there was no references to USA whatsoever on the subs I read (it was in spanish).

It was all just a big misunderstanding. So, that would make this episode pointless, right?

Wiseman were as enjoyable as ever in this episode. If you compiled all their screen time across every episode, you might get a full episode or two of quality 7/10 entertainment. Maybe 8/10, if they keep doing things as cutely absurd as summoning a 5-star just to get his signature.

Actually, this episode as a whole was as harmless as it was pointless - nowhere near the disasters that were episodes 4 and 5. We even got a loli imouto introduced, even if they wasted her by ignoring her existence after the five minute mark.
