| The sequel no-one asked for, that makes no fucking sense. Why on Earth are there incest twin clones of leads from original, and wtf is going on with what seemed like unified Kouga/Iga? Also, fuck off, Tenzen clone guy. I started laughing when I saw the kid's eyes float into his head in OP (or did they float out? idfk). Then I started crying when I saw how atrocious the fire looked, alongside pointlessly long cheapo panning shot. And the chibi art style... my God. Show did give me hope for first few seconds of the OP, tbf. |

| It's good to see this show back. My wish is fulfilled. The opening is by Onmyouza. I expected more action so I'm a little disappointed, and the whole matter of these siblings isn't to my liking but it's Basilisk after all, the harshest ninja anime. |

| Confirmed for 24 episodes. Hoping that means they have plenty of opportunities to flesh the story and characters. The art style is tolerable, the animation is ok, the powers are similar to those from the first season which isn't bad, enough references to the first season to feel like a sequel, overall so far decent. That being said, the story has me worried. Can someone explain when the two main characters from last season had kids? I'm pretty sure the kids would have been mentioned at some point if they had them in the backstory. And even if they really did have kids and it's not just some plot twist later on, why continue the story when it ended conclusively in the first season? Everything was wrapped up just fine. Don't really see the point of this season tbh. |

| All in all a good first episod. Gave us a glimpse of the state of affairs and brought up a lot of questions, such as: who are all these people and where were they 10 years ago when Kouga Manjidani was attacked? Did Kagerou have a child? Did Gennosuke and Oboro have twins? If so, why did they split them into two clans? And most importantly, is the plot gonna be the same as last time or is the author gonna come up with something else (hoping that's the case). Ramkec said: Original Kouga clan members were all honorable. The rapists and cheaters were from the Iga clan. I don't know how to feel about this. The fat Kouga guy would've definetely raped the Iga blood chick if he'd had the chance. Now, about cheating... Isn't deceit and dirty tactics the whole ninja deal? |

| Art style of the first Basilisk Anime was much better. This style seems like a downgrade from that. I enjoyed the first series with its Romeo and Juliet-esque plot and hope that this one has a less tragic ending. I'm guessing Hachirou is the new Gennosuke and Hibiki is the new Oboro. I'm wondering what they meant by letting siblings sleep with each other? Aren't they from different clans or were they talking about someone else? Lots of interesting characters. I'm wondering who's going to die and who's going to live. I really like the ED song the most, more than the OP. |

| Unless Gennosuke and Oboro had kids before Basilisk started, then there wouldn't be any time for them to have them during it. Somewhat confusing. Looks decent so far. Hopefully the "Tenzen tree" isn't too Tenzen-like, lest the roots spring to life and molest everyone. |
