I agree that the ending is, at minimum,..... unexpected. Seeing commentaries about the ending in another sites like these makes me wonder what was the real purpose of this ending and this manga as whole. People who comments that Kiyoshi deserve this and is trash may not be getting the point, I think,.......... That he is what he is. He does posess some good intentions ,at times, but that doesn't deny his flaws nor does having a girlfriend will change his character in such a way that he will become a better person. If one good thing is to be said about the ending is that it actually reveals a somewhat very adult theme about relationships in my view. Using a panty of another girl while being in the anniversary of his girlfriend is a pretty stupid thing to do, but being in fear of revealing the truth isn't so stupid. Taking to another context, I think it's pretty NORMAL( even if it isn't sometimes CORRECT) for a person to fear revealing something that might compromise his?her relationship. A couple can only a certain level of sharing intimacy, because the truth is: somethings are better left in private and it isn't such a bad thing sometimes. What throws me off is mainly two things: 1) The girl's logic in this anime: a trait shared with girls that are from the underground student council. In Chyo's case: "Kyon is thrash, therefore all men are thrash". This is called inductive reasoning. Inductive reasoning can't allow complete certainty to a statement. If I pull one coin from my pocket can I be sure the next thing a pull is also a coin? What if I pulled 100 coins, would be the next thing be also a coin? See that's the thing. Their logic is not only dumb, but also prejudiced. So instead of ending with something more mature like Chyo just breaking up with Kiyoshi and moving on, they make her with same trait I hated about the girls from the college. 2) The twist. I mean Chyo ,with the tolerance she has, just minutes after saying that she accepts the guy's mistakes will be conviced that all men are garbage because she saw him using panties? I know that he lied, but he also lied before. Even if we can believe that it was the last straw, on paper it doens't look so good after she just forgive him. |

Mywifesson said: That was art. The editor tries to axe the series at the end, the manga industry turns their backs on him, and who knows how long her took drawing up those elaborate panels, and backgrounds. So he says fuck you to everyone and shows a realistic ending, even though it was rushed he still manages to make it round out nicely by having Chiyo become the new USC president. This manga was incredible, the use of a yaoi research gag as a B plot, the masochism battle between Risa and Meiko, it was always unpredictable and entertaining. Endings on the other hand are usually predictable and to simplistic, they are an unfit garnish on a tasty morsel like this. What I wanted was Hana x Kiyoshi, but nobody got what they wanted. I'm sure this is a culmination for all of his work, his serious manga (which didnt understand antebellum slavery or racial differences at all) surely took much work attempting to be poignant and prolific, yet this series was the one who catapulted him to new heights. It was much more visceral than that piece of shit he wrote. 9/10 manga Completely agree with his. I had mixed feelings about the ending at 1st myself ~ in one way I appreciated the troll-factor since it suited the manga, on the other it was rather abrupt, but there's prolly other issues at play there. I will so miss this manga, it set a very high standard for ecchi comedies ~ where the ecchi elements themselves are what causes a chain of events that are just ridiculously hilarious. Cavalry arc was dragged out ofc, but aside from that, I'll be looking forward to future Akira Hiramoto works and wish him all the best. This man had combined a dose of insanity + ballsyness to create something truly awesome. |

The series made me read a manga for the first time. I started where the anime left off. Made it 'till the very end. I was amused from the Orobor...the 69, the yuri, Chivalry arc, PBR-sama, pretty much everything but not the last. Well, as a first time manga reader. There's always a first for everything. A first dissapointment. For some reason, in anime terms, the ending is like calling for a "Season 2". |

Hello everyone, I just binge-read the whole manga in four days, and when I reached the ending saying that it baffled me is an euphemism in the least. Putting aside all the unresolved plots of the various secondary characters, I want to focus on Hana and Kiyoshi’s relationship, which I find was the most interesting and most well developed during the entire manga. All the time the author spent writing their moments and giving us hints again and again kept confirming that HanaxKiyoshi was the real deal:
The main problem has always been with Kiyoshi and his denseness beyond any belief, he just keeps being unable to put the pieces together and finally realize who is the real best fit for him. Maybe he’s just so tunnel visioned with his infatuation for Chiyo that everything else flies above his head. The development of their relationship was so obvious that I kept being convinced that in the end something would click on him, or someone else would finally make him notice, but instead the ending was so abrupt that it only left a bitter taste all around. In fact it seemed more like a setup for a new arch. My only remaining hope is on the epilogue, I just wish the author to spend a good bunch of it on sealing up this couple, because leaving everything up in the air like this after all the efforts he made in writing them so well just feels like a waste. |

Lots of butthurt hanafags here. The manga was first and foremost a comedy. I felt Kiyoshi failing in the end was more than appropriate as he reaped what he sowed. Hopefully the epilogue will shine light on how the rest of the boys do in the love game. |

Someone was salty for having to end his manga because of bad sales. Pretty much what was adapted into anime was good, and few later chapters too but everything else was trash. The ending was rushed and it ruined it even more, otherwise it would've been good. |

The whole thing with chyio becoming the students council president and becoming a yandere was awesome, but the ending overall was lackluster mostly because of all the loose ends revolving other characters. Maybe the epilogue will make some ammends on that, or at least i am hoping it does. Nothing was made certain with this ending, and in just 1 panel everything changed. The best ending would be Kyoshi not having neither Chiyo or Hanna, which would be a realistic finale IMO. As said before, by other people, the manga was probably about to get canceled or something like that, and this was due to that. |

HOLY SHIT! WHAT AN ENDING!!! Naturally a lot of people are confused as fuck and probably really hate this....but I LOVED IT! This is one of the greatest troll endings I have ever seen in any medium period! This twist was phenomenal! You think it's gonna be all nice and whatever, Chiyo X Kiyoshi....and then we got that! WOW! Just WOW! I really want to see that Epilogue, cuz this was unreal! And for those of you highly disgusted with this ending....did you people forget how this manga was? From like the beginning? It was crazy as fuck, super perverted and really out there.....I feel the mangaka knew he had this Chiyo vs Hana dilemma and said "Fuck it, I'm gonna go out with a bang!" And that's what he did...and I got all the respect in the world for this type of ending. I stand at a 10/10. Amazing art, hilarious story, amazing perverted fun, and yes even the ending gets a standing ovation! |

I thought it was gonna be a lame happy ending with Chiyo and Kiyoshi and Hana just wishing them well. That would seriously be the lamest and most cliched and most disappointing ending ever. The twist at the end is savage, and DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I really don't know what to expect for the Epilogue, and that's what's so fcking awesome about this manga! |

I remembered that this manga existed two days ago and started reading through it again from around chapter 163. I'm kind of a simple guy, so I was cheering Kiyoshi on during chapter 276. ..And then chapter 277 happened. My reaction: "WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL?! HOW COULD HE BE THAT STUPID!?" It's like a punch to the gut out of nowhere. I didn't see this insanity coming at all, although I feel like I should have. I hope the epilogue does.. something. The way it ended here just feels empty. Like a bad end. Maybe that's what the author was going for?.. Meh. |

Disappointment that's the only thing i felt when finishing this chapter but i gotta give it props as well since even like that i had some real laugh especially that helicopter move from Hana. I felt that the author had truly created a special thing with Kiyoshi and Hana such a crazy, wacky, stupid series and yet the characters were able to feel very real Kiyoshi might have been forced to do crazy shit with her half the time but still there was truly this weird bond that developed between them like none i've ever seen i truly felt that at the end Kiyoshi would realize Hanas feelings i really wanted him to do so or for Hana to force herself just a bit more and tell him the truth but alas ..... it was not meant to be. A ton of things were left unresolved with all the side characters and surprisingly the one with the most happy ending where Andre and Risa which i found very sweet and very stupid as well ahahha mama queen turned out to be a really caring person as well. No goodbye for Mari and Kate and Meiko being at the see was sort of a disappointment and something refreshing even if it was just a gag it's one of those "things don't always go the way you want them to" Gakuto and the gang ... well they literally did what the author was figuratively trying to do they just all got together and were shipped off without any resolutions but hey at least the also finally got what they always wanted. Seeing that this is how the series ends the disappointment of Hana and Kiyoshi not becoming a couple is just 2 much i just hope that the Epilogue gives us a closure on i doubt it since the author seems like a complete troll but please .... The ending also showed just how much Hana cared for Kiyoshi just like Chiyo knew she also loved him and all the while i don't think she was trying to prove how Chiyo could not be with him she was trying to prove that Kiyoshi was so weird that only her could be with him. Still even with all that disappointment this is one of the funniest things i've ever read and i will treasure it for all the laughs it gave me it was an awesome ride and even if the author shat all over the ending it doesn't stop it from being a great series till then goodvye Kangoku Gakuen thank you for all the craziness, the laughs, the sex, the panty shots and most of all thank you for Hana a girl so cute and insane that just makes me hate real life all the more. |

If the author did not want to connect Hana with Kiyoshi, he would not make a scene in which she saved him from falling into the river. The final chapter explains why Kiyoshi and Chiyo could not succeed. Chiyo would never accept him as he is - and he was a pervert. Kiyoshi knew that she would not accept him, so he pretended to be someone else. That's why he lied to her from the beginning to the end. He lied to the one he "loves", and he was honest with the one he does not love. The only girl who fully accepted Kiyoshi was Hana. In the last scene in a brutal way Hana showed Chiyo what Kiyoshi really feel, who to the very end tried to deny it. Kiyoshi and Hana were similar, both denied themselves. Hana ran into aggression, did not admit to her feelings, and Kiyoshi escaped to date with a normal girl refusing to admit what she most wanted - and in the end the resistance was futile. That is why Hiramoto finally connected them in a perverse way. |

The ends of chapters 78, 178 were formerly full of symbols (especially chapter178) and concerned the developing Hanah's feelings. If we consider the epilogue as chapter 278, then we know what to expect - because Hiramoto is a troll. |

Igyzone said: I actually only recently began reading the manga and finished whole in just 3 days. The ending definitely came out of nowhere and caught me off guard. regarding Kiyoshi and Hana, since my memory is fresh, this a pasted comment I posted to a friend, you can tell what my mood was at that moment. "I dont mind the fact this manga started with fact that "men are garbage" and ended the same with "men are garbage" but if I had to change one little thing it would be killing Hana Until the last chapter I wanted to ship them, but that will never happen again." Why? She is a total yandere. The one that proved Kiyoshi was a "creep" while no one realised that it was her own fault that Kiyoshi turned out like that. Kiyo didnt ask to see Hana pee, she did ask likewise and thats the difference between normal and a creep. And for the record, shoving a forbidden part up someone's face would drive any normal heterosexual male wild. Its not our fault that our sexual desire is greater, blame mother nature or god on that. Thanks, bi*ch, you managed to mentally fu*k him and then mentally fu*k his lover just so no one can love him anymore. Men may be pervs, but women are psychopats. I'm hoping that the extended epilogue announced for April 2018 will shed more light" Couldnt have said any better.... disgusting ending...Nothing more to say...Atleast give a good enough reason for the twist to happen ..i |

I gave this manga up a long time ago. It was just really corny. But whe. I saw it was finished I went and read the last couple of chapters. It was a very abrupt ending. However, the part that got me the most is what kind of guy would allow a girl smaller than himself to wrestle him to the ground and completely remove his pants In Front of his girlfriend knowing that if his pants came off His relationship would be over. |

I really like the sort of "bittersweetness" of the ending. Mari, while still detesting men, is partly cured off it and even admits that it was fun, indicating some sort of rehabilitation, while Chiyo on the other hand , being betrayed by the man she loves and trusts the most, on the day she anticipates the most, after nearly having a mental breakdown being left alone for such a long time, turns full force into the next dictator president, filling the open gap. Ouroboros. An infinite cycle. I like the bittersweet conclusion of Meikos and Kates arc where they were not able to see Mari off at the airport and instead, besides hating each other to the core, are having a temporary cease fire over their mutual loss at the shore. I like how the boys and girls are casually having a fun time on the river without being confined in some stupid, arbitrary couples. They are 15/16 years old. They have a whole life before them, symbolized by the endless stream of the river. And they will find their way. There is actually no more fitting way to end this manga than on that note. Fantastic! _I_am_nobody_ said: All the time the author spent writing their moments and giving us hints again and again kept confirming that HanaxKiyoshi was the real deal:

Maybe he’s just so tunnel visioned with his infatuation for Chiyo that everything else flies above his head. Your observations are absolutely right. Hana is by far the best fit for Kiyoshi and in his subconsciousness he clearly feels that way. And that is exactly the reason why the manga had to end the way it did. Because this is a manga about fucked up relationships between characters and only if every relation is being fucked up it can end properly. This is by far not the type of manga where the golden prince gets his bride and rides towards the sparkling sunset. |

Hana went crazy denial because she lost, then proves she's right that Kiyoshi is a pervert by still using her panties. 2. Kiyoshi peed all over Hana, again proving Hana was right to Chiyo that Kiyoshi is a pervert. 3. Chiyo learned that all men are scum because Kiyoshi, the only guy she fully trusted, betrayed her trust from all the things Hana proven in this chapter. Then turned to Mari 2.0. It's just so batshit crazy man. I don't know what's going on anymore even if I were able to recap the whole ending. And apparently there will be an epilogue chapter 4 months from now. Like really?
