10 = The Perfect Anime...doesn't exist. Or, I haven't watched it yet. (If you have many 10s in your catalogue, it just means you have low standards.)
9 = Basically a masterpiece. If you can't see it, you lack sophistication. Maybe one day you'll grow some taste and come round.
8 = Memorable for one or more reasons. Highly likely re-watchable.
7 = Liked it. The bulk of anime I watch should fall here. If they don't, it means the standard of the industry has fallen--or my tastes have shifted--and I'll probably just stop watching (new) anime.
6 = I expected more, but okay.
5 = Eh, I dunno...
4 = Try harder!
