| le did'nt bother reading all comments.. expect for 70% of wat i did read.. was about people saying they dont understand it or confusing or shit like that..srsly the anime made perfect sense to me... and i did'nt even read any LN or stuff like that sure it was rushed in som parts had some holes.and stuff..but it was still cool and unique if this anime be mainstream... everyone would ignore its bad traits ... /forgive the grammar/english....... >_> aimed at the grammar nazi's of mal who decides reply to this comment and rekt me. |

| PIssed me off. HEre was a different kinda show, fairly unique...and then...the last few episodes pull an M Shamalan or however uspell his name. Bleh.... Hopefully the ova somewhat redeems it all.... |
| There were alot of twists on this anime for sure. I think that at the end, maybe Ai saved Alis from being buried and resting in peace or something, what is really annoying me is that they ended it there! It is like a cliffhanger you will never get to the see the resolution of. It is hard to rate this anime, I was expecting it to be disappointing, and Ai as a MC was underdeveloped for me, since I wanted to like her more, but something felt lacking at her to be a great protagonist, BUT the setting is so original, with good OST and animation, with some really great and surprising twists and resolutions, that despite its other falts like being a bit too rushed, despite them, it still deserves a 9, and low 9, but still damm. That was so refreshing. EDIT: I think I have found the explanation to the final, at least makes everything more coesive. "Due to Alice being dead and his body having been buried by a gravekeeper and thus not being bound to the sealed city like the rest of his classmates, he has a physical form outside the sealed city, unlike Dee, who is forced to take a ghostly form. He is saved at the end of the anime series by Ai, who wished she could save him from perishing. He grows close to Ai over the course of the series, encouraging her in her goal to save the world." (taken from the wikipedia) So I guess Ai made a wish to save him, for a god that abandoned the world, he surely is a naughty one, fooling people around, grating those wishes, when it was supposed of him to be ignoring the world he abandoned. | Plot twists at the end are a delicate subject. If handled carefully like in code geass they can be good. Since this was a separate arc of this anime at the end it wasn't bad at all. I've rather enjoyed the most scenes. |

| Overall a 7/10 I would say. Mostly because nice ost and art. Story was okay. I would watch more episodes but jeah madhouse and second seasons.. So the ending was a big twist, thats ok with me. BUT what pisses me of is the fact that they had multiple chances to make the story better. Like simply showing ai and alice together with dee when yuri and scar came. Then the "you had to safe me" ending would be ok. Or hinting a bit that alice could have been the cause. The way they evacuated the city was weird, 36.000 people from the outside lived there. Ok. But they had to go trough a door? I mean. Probably not everybody made it in time. What happened to them? They should automatically go to the real world when the white fog comes imo. I still cant accept that hampnie died after 3 eps. I wanted him to stay around longer and then die in the end and give ai her chara developement. Well ok anime is over. I probably will never rewatch this unless im forced to. |

| Ai ended up saving Alice, but how? There logic behind his saving is vague. The whole story of the class didn't make sense, how come when Dee went out with Alice to the real world was a ghost if he was the one who died. The writer just twisted the story for the sake of shock in the end. Yuri and Scar were useless in this situation and sometimes I question their value to the story and also I wish Ai's father never kicked so soon. I still though have numerous questions about his death considering he was immortal. And also isn't Ai a gravekeeper? She never portrayed that task in the series even if she was half of it, I still question her capabilities as an MC. The series was just that a series and nothing else, because it never served any major purpose. So its a 6/10 but be willing to give the next season a chance |

| I was understanding the plot at the beginning of the anime, but as it went on it started getting a bit confusing in certain parts. There are a lot of unanswered questions and mysteries regarding the universe the anime takes place in. This last episode was pretty good. I almost teared up a bit at the end, but of course Alice came back lmao. With the sad ending theme blasting and the way the scene played out, I thought my dude was gone for good. The themes of dreams, prayers and wishes are essential to the show, so I guess it does make sense that Alice came back to life and it's not just a random asspull. Interesting and decent anime. Would've given it a higher rating if it had not felt so rushed, and if the MC was a little less annoying. 6/10. |
| The first part of the anime still made me confuse, why her mother buried if the villagers is dead people ? and why the father suddenly dead when he is immortal? He survived when he exploded by a grenade, the first part supposedly to be sad but i don't feel it at all cause I'm to confuse about the plot (the first part exactly), but it's was completely good story after the first part and enjoying watching it |

| This was an experience, the plot barely advances in these 12 episodes and so many things just happen out of nowhere, but I enjoyed the hell out of this. "Shut the fuck up and be my woman" will be one of my favorite lines forever. |

| Alice finally became more likeable at the end, but his sacrifice was ultimately avoided anyway, with Ai's wish. I do wish this anime stuck true to its original premise more, or more comprehensively set up the various events of the plot, so as to maximise their impact on the viewer. Concepts like the "half-dead syndrome" had a lot of potential for facilitating immersive, emotional developments, but were merely informed elements of the story that were never really demonstrated in-universe. |
