This year's eighth issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine will reveal on Wednesday that Miki Yoshikawa's gender bender manga Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches) will end after five chapters.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo began its serialization in Weekly Shounen Magazine in February 2012 and currently has 25 volumes in print. The 26th volume will go on sale on December 16. In August 2011, the manga received a live-action TV series. In 2013, studio LIDENFILMS adapted the manga as a short ONA. Two OVA episodes were also bundled with the 14th and 15th volume in December 2014 and May 2015, respectively, and in Spring 2015, it received a 12-episode TV anime adaptation. Kodansha Comics USA has been publishing the manga in print in English since March 2015. The 12th volume was recently released on January 10 while the 13th volume will be out on April 4.

THANK GOD.

This manga was dragging so much with the same shit over again that I dropped it. Good to know that at least it's ending now.

Now I wonder if the author will pull a yankee kun ending, would be hilarious.

Really a beautiful cover :o !!!!!!!!!!!!
Not much of a surprise, the moment they started to study for universities exams, the end was near. It was a good ride, I hope the author will give us a good ending, a happy ending would be great :)

Here is the best anime OP of 2015 as a send off for the enjoyable series.

Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

This was still going? I thought the anime ended at a really good point, what exactly happens after this in the Manga? Or was the Anime ending original?

Anime ended at chapter 90. And they adapted arguably the best part of the manga, the later half irked many people with repeated plotpoints.

Arguably the better part of the manga, upto chap 90 that is. And I can't say "why" without giving manga spoilers.

Hmm sad to hear but since they already addressed the story arcs with all the witches in the school and that the main cast is preparing for university its a good time to end the series.

Though they have to make sure that they end it correctly though
Its been a good run and i really enjoyed the series and the characters

Finally time to catch up, I'm only more than 100 chapters late
I had a lot of fun with this manga so I didn't have the courage to put it in the dropped section
Also, reading all those chapters back to back is probably better than waiting week after week.
I hope Yoshikawa Miki learn when to stop because I do wanna read more manga from her.

Fucking Finally I can re-pick and binge read this shit, this 2017.
Heck, I didn't know why this manga wasn't ended way sooner.
And I doubt LIDENFILMS would make a sequel.
Though it would be mice to have a second season.

Well finally. There was so much bullshit to the story that I can't even enjoy it anymore. Especially after the author fucked up her own continuity and story.

It dragged so much that she retcon things up lol. We all know it ended on chapter 90, so everything up to this point is filler and making people suffer.

It was time, the manga was so boring after the initial 7 witches arc, there was nothing interesting hapenning and more plot hole happening here and there and more irrelevant character making their entrance again and again.

[SPOILER INCLUDED, READ ON YOUR OWN RISK!]

Actually both sad and happy about it. It's great that the series end here with a nice and great ending were Urara and Yamada can go happy as a couple to collage. It's weird if new witches appears when the main protagonist isn't at the school anymore. So I am glad the author doesn't continue the story when they start on college. Because as it were mentioned earlier in the manga, the witch power is something that only exist at that high school. So it would be weird if the story would continue at college too.

Now we have found out, in the recent chapter, that Shiraishi is the origin to the powers, we got to know the big mystery too. Why and for what purpose does Yamada have the copy power? From the moment he mentioned it early in the manga, this mystery question have been circulating in my head ever since.

But as every other great anime/manga series it's always sad with an ending and a departure from a series. I have been following this manga since 2015, but I bet there are fans from far beyond. So yeah, it's good but at them same time very sad with this news. :( :)

I liked the anime series and I haven't read the manga, however can anyone inform me why did the manga got dragged up? If nobody minds this... just curious since a lot of people on my end said that they didn't wanted an S2 of the anime because of the manga dragging its own plot for too long (at least when I said it xD)

Haven't watch the anime, but when I read the manga years ago, I thought it wouldn't and couldn't have lasted this long, and it shouldn't have. This should serve as a reminder for the author to not drag series out, I hope. That said, Yankee kun to Megane chan anime adaptation when?

Because the author drag this manga by obviously repeating the same formula over and over for every major arc. Here's a breakdown of that formula:

This formula got repeated like 3-4x already. Now the author is kind of doing it again on this last arc. Not just that, as a long time reader, I'm sad to also know that the author fucked up her own continuity of the story by pulling bulshit on the recent chapter.

Is it worth reading now ? The anime ended with half-ass relationship between Shiraishi and Yamada.
Is there any developments happened in the manga ?
And If I'm not mistaken I think the body switching has ended, then what is the story next ? Thanks

Damn, that really sounds rather bad honestly o.o because basically... Hmm, I think it's also a contradiction to the previous ones. x-x that's pretty messed up... and it seems like it, at least the author repeating the same formula again and again... that's not fun.

You forgot an important point of that formula.

Don't bother, what happens in the following arcs is basically "find 7 witches and get memories back" while there is atleast some romantic development between Shiraishi and Yamada, the story itself is repetetive as damn hell.

I remember this that the anime first episode really hooked me to read this manga(since people have been telling that manga skipped alot).

I was enjoying the manga until somewhere around chapter 88-100(not sure but it has to be before 100), the whole plot got restarted for stupid reason and yeah then red upto chapter 163 and dropped.

It is agreeable for anyone that the start was really solid and greatly planned. But however as it continued, things(esp the old characters) was getting dull and yeah its became like the author making the story without any plan.

This was happened to be my second manga read, and nice to know its ending.
