Eh after everything, the twins are still a draw...
Still, the finale did actually feel like a final episode of the show. Just wish they didn't focus on the twins so much for the season.

Seriously had my hopes up on the important news *Sigh* seeing Yumoto like that was really surprising but everything was OK in the end and everyone got together for one last bath of the season.

Quite a few people I know think this season is weaker overall, but in my opinion it improved on a lot of the faults of season 1. It still has those faults, but going into the characters more and branching out into more plot-lines than "monster attacks and then gets defeated" helped it a bit. The repetition, while its to be expected, did drag it down however.

A great episode to end a great season. When I first heard they were making a season 2, I was afraid it would decline in quality, but it ended up being excellent.

I was really happy that they got transformations in this episode; it was something that had been missing.

This was a very weak final, not to mention rather stupid: bringing in the studet council members only to have them do literally nothing. The intrigue with Gora was promising, but again, it ended anticlimatic and we didn't even get to see him transform or something.

All in all, this season was visibly weaker than the first in every department, including satire that was the strong point before, it's almost like entirely different people, having nothing to do with the team of the first season, borrowed the characters and handled the season. Disappointed.

Honestly, this is one of those shows that I would love to see have five or six seasons... It's not my favorite or anything, but it's so damn cheesy it cracks me up.

Needless to say, I am hoping for a S3. Guess that'll depend on merch sales in Japan!

Ain't a mad bone in me talkin' 'bout season two.

To be honest, I avoided season two because I was pretty eh about season one. Then I went to visit a friend, she decided she wanted to watch it. We had a good time watching up to episode four.
I actually liked this season a lot more than season one, and maybe it's because I just had more patience or was in the "right" mindset while going through season two as opposed to one-- I also binge watched season two while I watched season one weekly when it was airing. Maybe that's it. Or maybe season two is just better. Guess I'll never know.

I feel like the writers knew what to do with their characters a little more. And the thing is, these characters aren't like some super beautiful bishounen to me, to be honest; with an exception to maybe En-chan, these boys are pretty plain (or the art style doesn't make them look appealing to me if they're supposed to be). So instead of eye-candy drawing me in, it's actually their interactions which gets me laughing. It was in season one as well, but I felt like a lot more of the dialogue hit really well when it came to comedy. I actually really liked most of the characters' interactions together this season. Really fun stuff.

The only thing I don't care too much for in this series is its physical fanservice. I swear, especially the first bath scene of the whole show, we were on Ryuu's butt for too long. On the other hand, I ain't got a problem with most of that BL style-fanservice which plays on emotions/allowing the audience to use their imagination instead of just trying to get some eye candy in. Like these guys don't even have nip nops; there's no need to make us aware of it again and again with "eye candy" scenes.

I keep on feeling like a lot of the jokes directed at Ryuu were implying that he was gay or they assumed he was gay, and I couldn't help but think, "A-Am I catching that meaning right??" That type of thing got me snickering even more. He never really denied it though although he always heard them which was the part that really made me chuckle.

And really, I feel like they handled the groups's "oh gosh let's just not even bother" attitude a lot better in this season than in season two. There wasn't really a time when I felt like things were going too slow because of their lack of action, but instead the story was able to take another course.
All in all, this season seemed a lot less stiff. I feel like the creators seemed to know their aim and weren't just trying to see what would work this time. Since they were comfy working with the Battle Lovers, all they had to do was work with the twins. At first they were a little shaky with that, but after a few episodes, I think they found their ground with them. I guess that's how a lot of shows I end up liking later on are.

I'm really happy I ended up watching this season. Very worth it for me.

That was a fun ride!

A lot better than first season. While the first season was more "face palm" funny and light chuckles, this season made me laugh out loud quite a lot. Maybe I was just used to the stupidity and comedy and pretty much knew what to expect.

I loved the student council, but the twins were a great addition and made everything even better.

Lovely last bath scene!

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, gonna miss this show a lot!

Gotta say this was a big improvement over the first season. It actually felt like the parody it was meant to be, the Beppu twins where better antagonists than the student council, and the fights had more variety.

It started weak and the twins/all the Yamoto was a bit annoying for me (didn't like him much the first season), although considering they're central to the overall plot this season it makes sense.

By the 5th episode I started enjoying myself, though, and instead of watching the two episodes a day I planned I marathoned the rest today lol. I still really enjoyed it and am really, really hoping they go ahead with a season 3 despite the uncertainties that my fav Atsushi and his BF (in both ways lmao) En-chan won't be in it since they'll be graduating.
It's not the best series out there but it's so charming that just knowing it's airing gives me life.

Solid 7-8 for me. This last episode was really great (was that metal music in the background of the twins' attacks?)
It it wasn't so expensive and sub only (damn you Ponycan!) I'd be all on board to buy the DVD.

If it does end hopefully someone else tries to make their version so we get more magical boys in the future.

Yeah, those were exactly my thoughts! I was waiting for Gora's transformation since I learned he was a magical boy, but we got nothing!

Also Gora was a villain, not a hero? That part was so wtf.

Looks like the Battle Lovers showed the twins what love really was, and after Gora's encouraging words, the twins are no longer evil, and now perform as idols, and even join the gang in the hot springs.

I was laughing a lot during this episode. At the end where it gives the notice they brought the dead teacher back to life, ahaha.

The series was overall a great follow-up to the first. Even as a parody, this series is pretty fluffy and I've just gotta love it.
