| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The more I look at Mozgus in this series, the more he kinda creeps me out.. He's pretty dedicated to his prayer though. Nice to see the Skull Knight again and he came at the right time to save Luca. Now if this wasn't in CGI, the part with Guts going badass at the end would of been better. |

The skull knight is never really explained in the manga. There are just hints as to who he is. To bridge between the series and this anime, you should watch the third movie instead. It explains what happens after the "gore fest" and shows skull knight. |
| Good episode. Farneese is a little annoying during this stage, I guess that's part of her currently wavering ideals. Puck is awesome as always. Skull Knight, Looking cool as always :D Mozgus look bizarre to me, Never like his transformation. Gut's action sequence was epic, I got chills when he impaled that guy. Cause I really don't think you should be watching this without reading the manga. They skipped 2 arcs which happen before the current one and did some random anime-original stuff to try and connect to this arc, While they have been adapting this arc fairly faithfully, some informative chapters have been skipped as well if I'm not wrong. As for Skull Knight, He's the one who saves Guts and Casca from the Eclipse (The gore fest), I think the original Berserk changed a few things but I haven't seen it so I don't know. If you've seen the movies however you'll see that he saves Guts. |

| Well, that was certainly interesting. It'll be interesting to see what it is that the Skull Knight is taking on and if this will have any bearing on the battle between Guts and Mozgus's group of winged psychopaths (seriously, why do they have wings? what's going on there?). |

| It's so clear that the studio is learning and progressing with each episode. Rocky start indeed, but barring some small and annoying faults they're producing some solid episodes. I'm genuinely starting to get some Berserk-y vibes. Can't wait for the next episode! Also, Skull Knight is the best knight. |

Either that or we've made our peace and gotten used to the weird animation style. Having said, using Susumu Hirasawa's music like that has the tendency to make everything look better than it is. I do think from the comments from non manga readers that they could have done a better job with the story to make it clearer to them. A lot of stuff we manga readers just take for granted. |

| @Farabeuf: True, the music did make it better. At least they know how to make good use of it. I don't know what to think of these comments, really. It's been years since I binge-read through this part of the manga, and I hardly remember the details. I don't see why anyone should be confused about the Skull Knight if they've watched the third movie. I suppose the Kushan and the Apostles might seem to have appeared from nowhere, but wasn't that how it happened in the manga? The world is going to shit, that's all one needs to know. Berserk is chaos. |

The fight scene at the end was way too consufing. Terrible framing. One more thing, can someone explain to me what the hell happened when Mozgus was hit by that big eyed demon, he was screaming, then screaming some more, fell down, everyone was attacked by tentacles, and the next time we see him he shoots FIRE in that spiral staircase? I just......like...HOW? And what is up with this sound design, the two screams don't even match the visuals |
| OMG the action, the tension, this anime is so good. If I read the manga will I know more background info of the reaper on the horse? Sucks the rating is so low due cgi whiners. |

| The art was pretty on point on some scenes. As for the animation, same as always I haven't read the manga and only watched the anime series and movies so, I don't know what was really going on with all these demons appearing decent episode |

| God, people are still watching this? I'm done. Another lame Berserk adaptation. And it's sad it's gotten to a point where when people say 4C's animation was better, I actually agree. This series got me defending Studio 4C's Berserk. I want to die. They're almost finished with the Conviction arc in less than 10 episodes... I can only imagine how much worse and abridged it's going to get. Holy crap. They'll probably cram the rest of it in the next 3 episodes, watch, then fail at doing the next arc for the second half before it's inexplicably cut off, and teased for a sequel. Good luck with that notion, novices. Not at this rate. |

| That moment when Guts punched the wall to get Farnese tell him where Casca was awesome. I can safely say now that I'm enjoying this adaptation, it took a while to get going but now that it's adapting the manga quite faithfully it's been fun. The soundtrack's also quite good, one in particular reminds me of Baccano. Anyways, still no words on how many episodes it has? Will it be a single cour? |

Little is known about SK other than that he had a similar fate as Guts in the past. He wasn't a regular knight as Guts, but Emperor of all Midland, known as Emperor Gaiseric. That's the main difference I believe. The rest must be pretty much the same, being betrayed by a friend, surviving an eclipse and stuff like that. About the episode: GREAT AS USUAL. | At this point it's hard to say how I feel about this series. It's no longer so bad that it's worth nitpicking over, nor has the improvement been intense enough to cause a 180 flip of opinion. It's middle of the road, which honestly just makes it pretty forgettable. Unless the climax of this series is amazingly well adapted I don't think many of us will be rewatching this once the year's out. |

What he does to the priest and his group is pretty much turn them into mini apostles. Its similar to what happened with the pagan leader who had a goat on his head. |

| pretty weird seeing skull knight looking all metalic. they really seemed ot have cut away all the horrible shit those spirits did...but then again there's still the next couple episodes. we probably arent done seeing the black shit spread throughout the tower. i havent read the old chapters in a very long time so i dont exactly remember the order of events with some of these. |
| Oh man I really hope they don't mess up this huge ass fight with too much choppy CG, there's been no flow, I can't relate to any fight scenes in Berserk 2016 because of this. CG is amazing and can be used correctly and smoothly - character relation is everything. The frames in Berserk 2016 always try for 60fps but end up being little to 15-maxing out at 30 with movements. I really hope Shin Itagaki releases this was a mistake for him, knowing his record this was not the right decision... I love Berserk, and I hope it will get better... |

| This episode was the best! Like Goku arriving to fight the Saiyans. The next one will be even better! It just keeps getting better. I love remembering the manga, i'm glad they're following it (kinda). Hate the CGI ofc, but it's done now. The OST is so good, Susumu Hirasawa never disappoints. Did they change the ED theme into english? Cool touch. These winged guys were "probably" inspiration for winged knights in dark souls 3. |
