I can see now that the ending was rushed/open ended as they were unsure as to whether a season 2 would be coming their way. the manga and season 1 anime plot diverges about 12 chapters in, surprisingly, so after reading the manga everything made a lot more sense. if season 2 is going to follow the manga more closely, it'll be a lot more satisfying than the 1st season. it'll involve much more in-depth plot/character developments. | I'm surprised that it's popular on MAL because I didn't realize people actually ever liked any shows that were just plain good simple manga adaptations without some sort of gimmick attached to them. Then again maybe those are just infrequent. |

| Because the first season was awesome! The characters are fun and interesting, and the storyline is actually quite good! Can't wait to see more of Yato and Hiyori! Also I love Ebisu, she is a great character! |

| As someone mentioned - it's fairly casual - sort of reminds me of a sit com but with a twist (having gods in tracksuits, spirits etc.) I guess some people dig it. I didn't knew i did until I watched it too. |

If fact, most echii and harem anime I have seen have far better and more intense action. | The manga is really good, and season 2 is covering some really interesting arcs from the manga. Honestly for me, if I had just stopped at the 1st season and never read the manga, I'd think Noragami was pretty good, but not amazing. But the manga is 10x better and reading it really solidifed Noragami as one of my favs. |

The fact that only 8-9 episodes were canon doesn't help either. This led people into thinking that this wasn't a very serious anime. Someone just complained that the series doesn't focus much on the MC. It does, and you will see that in the second half of this season. It's just that it wasn't possible to show the best of Noragami in such a short first season. People who have given Aragoto a chance are now seeing that things are getting more serious. And the best is yet to come! |

| Because this work is fresh as a manga and anime. It's about gods in a human way, and that make the story a wonderful gem as a show of interesting, sensible and relatable characters while keeping the stakes high enough for the story itself to stay relevant. Basically, here gods are gods yet they have believable feelings and issues, at least for gods. It's well pulled off. |

That's true. Well, some recent elements like the fact that they're now heading to the Underwold could be seen as a bit of an adventure. But, after that, there's no more "adventure" elements per se. |

| Yato is just so adorkable. The interaction between the main trio is really good. Lots of people wanna see if Yato and Hiyori will be in love... The character design and the concept are really nice, too. |
