Not even the last scene? Cmonnnnn it was totally hinted at.

Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons.
It is to grow in the open air and to eat and sleep with the earth.
-Walt Whitman

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. If White Fox would make a season two, that's where all the romantic developments take place when Alas Ramus makes her entrance.

Yeah, you could see in that last scene that she was bashfully twirling her umbrella and blushing... couldn't be more obvious if you ask me.
It'd be most interesting to see how it develops, does anyone know what's the deal with the original? Is it a light novel, or is it a manga? I'm not sure where to go from here (just finished the anime).

Unsure what's your last question meant but Hataraku Maou-Sama! is a light novel. It also has a manga being made of it but I'm not sure if it's still continuing.

Thanks! I was just asking how to continue the series once I've finished the anime... from what you're telling me there's a light novel I can read! Yay! I might be asking too much, but have you got any idea if I can start reading the light novel at a certain volume (where the anime left off) or should I read the light novel from the start?

Hm, others would probably suggest this too but if you want, you can start at Volume 1 since the anime didn't really cover/adapt all of the things that have happened during volume 1 and 2 (which are the two volumes that was adapted into the anime). But if you want, go to Volume 3. The last episode adapted the final chapter of volume 2 I believe so Volume 3 would be the next part of that story.

I'm curious how Emilia will forgive Maou for killing her father. I'm hoping Maou will repent and sacrifice his life in exchange for the resurrection of all the people he's killed. And then somehow Emilia brings Maou back and they fall in love.

Damn, that'd be amazing..

Thank you so much! I'll read from the start since I wouldn't want to miss anything the anime left out!

Dude...that'd be awesome! You should contact the writer and tell him LOL. It probably won't be this amazing though. I'm not sure how they'll go around the fact that he killed her dad. Personally I'd be trying to kill him every chance I'd get if I were her. Thing is Maou kind of killed everyone in a certain location, it's not like he went directly to kill Emilia's father, he just wiped out a population and her father happened to be there. Sounds awful either way but it IS different. Not like I'd even consider that detail if I were Emilia -i'd still be pissed off at him.

^ hmm, but Emilia stands for justice, so I would have expected her to still not be accepting of Maou

nope. Am rooting for Chiho.

And I'd be more interested to see if there will be something developing between Alsiel/Ayse and what'sHerName : Rikka? (Emi's friend from work)

I really liked when this was hinted at in some episode - a romance for support characters for me feels fresh, different.

They should get another director or something too. I read somewhere that the one who directed the anime likes Chiho for some reason and toned down the maou x emi(read the LN, there were lot of them but subtle).

Reminds me of chiho and emi's conversation the collapsed underground mall where chiho thought that maou and emi graduated from the same middleschool to which emi replies that if that were the case they'd have a more stable relationship. Which could imply that if they weren't demon king/hero they might actually get along well.

What could've happened if maou and emi discovered their identities a bit later in the series?

Can't Help it, maou x emi from LN started from 3rd VOl. the anime only covered the first 2 volumes.

Question does their relationship progress anywhere as I know they are looking after Alas=Ramus but does there relationship progress much more or is it similar to that Chiho x Maou from the anime series, where you know the girl like Maou but never much happens past that?

Their relationship progress every volume but it is very subtle. The big change starts on volume 11 where Maou starts acting like a grade-schooler with a crush and Emi a highschool girl in love (well this is my opinion that's the impression I get from them).

im rooting for Emi(but i think he'll end up with Chiho).
But even im more interested in in Ashiya and Suzuki.
I would also like something to happen between Urushihara(Lucifer) and Kamazuki. IDK why but it just feels right.

Cute ending with the umbrella scene. Not over the top with a kiss. That has to wait until the real ending.
