----------------------------------------
3rd season starts off with lots bloody actions.

Even when Hammerhead finally dies facing a greater opponent than him, he gets resuscitated to fight a new battle; since the world has no one to turn to but him. The daughter narrates and watches as her dad goes off once more to take on enemies, and I'm assuming it'll continue on like a loop. Quite a depressing story.

You can see the quality for the art and animation are a lot better compared to the previous seasons. Since there's only 6 shorts for the 3rd season, let's hope they keep it up.

Kinda sad for Hammerhead given his circumstances.

DAAAYUM!!!
casting light on the super human from different angle, being used by the government, abounding personal life and dreams, living as hope and symbol.

this is what I call a deconstruction of the superhero genre. the x-men's module of normal people vs ones with powers was good, but so outdated.

One of the best shorts yet. The animation was really well done.
Although I have to say, I never thought I would see this amount of detailed gore here. That was pretty disgusting.

I think this may be my favorite short yet. This needs to be made into a series.

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

The quality was amazing and the story brought me to tears ;_; It's one of that is easier to understand what's going on despite the short length. It had a good theme too. But yeah, I'm not good with gore, although if it's animation it's slightly less nauseating.

That was absolutely amazing, I loved the premise.
The gore, the animation, even the characters look great.
Wonder if Hammerhead actually thought the same way the daughter did.

Could be an amazing series.

That was disgusting, full of feels, and awesome!

Hammerhead vs One Punch Man? Who would win?

I do not want a series to be made from this... a movie yes, but not a series.

This episode was exceptional, particularly for me since I am a sucker for selfless heroes.

I recognized the voice of Megumi Hayashibara straightaway considering how she has been the voice actress of my favourite kuudere Haibara Ai for more than a decade by this point.

Man! The art was fantastic!
And even in this short amount of time, I grew attached to the characters and their plight.
Would totally love to see this turned into something larger.
If not a TV series or OVA, at least a feature-length film.

Being hit on the head with a hammer = super powers. I must admit, that's new.

Also, uh, wow. That was more violent than usual, but it was also more sentimental than usual as well. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. It reminded me of Zetman in some manner, despite being slightly more camp and even more bloody somehow.

If I ever win the lottery I swear to god I will fund this into being made an anime! This was fucking amazing. The art, the music, the premise of it all and the gore it was just... Too good. Why doesn't stuff like this get made into a full series yet crap like one punch man does.

It is something entirely different, aside from the OP MC being a hero and superb animation they have nothing in common.

Oshii is probably the only director that loves dogs. He thinks he's a dog himself.

Ah the reason I compared the two was because a while back there was some thread about OPM and people were desperately trying to convince me that OPM was a deep meaningful story that questions what it means to be a hero.

To me, this little short questionable in that sense. The few minutes it ran for had a lot more depth and character exploitation than OPM has had in it's whole series.

Other than that I agree, the two have nothing in common.

OPM is a parody of the superhero trope. Some may see depth in it but im not a fan of overanalyzing stuff. It has funny references, cool fights and character designs.

This would make a fantastic tv series... or movie even to explain more on Hammerhead's story or simply to pick up where they left off.

Nice short, with a great idea, a cool character, although a little existentialist and reflexive the short, but a little change can be a better!!!

7/10.

It actually looks great and interesting~ For heroes, laying their lives for justice literally means offering every single shred of life in you to its claws and even when in the sweet relief of death approaches them, they just get pulled back into the fray to fight once more.

The gory corpse of Half-a-brain was very unsettling to look at but his daughter's grief sure was touching even with that terrifying mass right beside her. Ew on her laying down on the bloody bed though *^*

Holy shit at his body. How the fuck do you keep that on life support?
His daughter is pretty.
Dem tears.
WTF is that on the screen.
Dat revival!
WTF is that?

Holy shit! That was awesome. TV anime when?

The same director as the last time but this short was a lot better.

His destroyed body was tough thing to look at but the narration of his sister was great and I can imagine that this was turned into a series.
