| This episode was very good. Maybe even better than the OVA counterpart. The flashback of Towa that is. But the twist about the twins and the mermaid jumpscare was better in the OVA. I still love that the OVA VAs reprised their roles in this remake. Towa's Japanese voice Sumi Shimamoto (Kyoko Otonashi VA!) especially was chilling. |
| I feel bad that Towa wasted her life. The sister was sick for locking her up. I wish she'd made better choices and ran away with her fiance. She could have dyed her hair black, kept her hand wrapped, and had a normal life with him, even taken in a child as her own. |

| They gave us more backstory to Towa than the OVA, but overall the OVA is better especially the mermaid jump-scare and the ending ( in the OVA even the doctor dies in the fire ), Towa is really a tragic character, she didn't benefit from the half-immortality she got and wasted her life on revenge, and Sawa got to live her life normally.  |
