 A scan of the 43rd issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine, which will go on sale on September 23, revealed that manga Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic will be entering its final arc. The arc will begin in the 48th issue of Shounen Sunday, which goes on sale on October 29.Magi is written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtaka and has been serialized in Shounen Sunday since June 2009. The manga received a prequel, covering Sinbad's early life, which was adapted into five OVA episodes. The main series itself has received two TV anime adaptations by A-1 Pictures. The first, titled Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, aired in 2012, and the second, titled Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, aired in 2013. Both adaptations ran for 25 episodes. What was wrong with Magi anime? It was awesome. Season 2 was fire. But season 1's adaptation was rushed and inconsistent. IMO this series is better than HxH it just needs a quality studio to show that. |

| Hmm.... Mixed feelings on this but imo not too surprising. Hopefully we'll get a third season in the future. I am not expecting Sinbad to be adapted into a TV series and if it ever happens will probably be slightly extended or get a similar treatment like Break Blade. |

It's okay though, interesting premise, but the whole shonen cliche of "falling into depravity" is a real turn off for me, the most annoying cliche in all of shonen, and it's at the forefront of this series which makes it very tough to follow at times, though some of it's really cool. It's a shame yet another weekly shonen battle series will be ending soon, along with Bleach. We need more replacements, My Hero Academia doesn't cut it imo. They explore the depravity element a lot more in the manga to the point where it doesn't necessarily mean characters are "evil" if their rukh enters that state. Definitely worth a read :) |

Same, it used to be one of my favorites, but then I stopped reading it every week. Although apparently I'm only 29 chapters behind, so that's not too bad. I guess it's time to catch up soon. I agree too about the anime...I complained so much lol. |

Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL? 5. Is it actually good? Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant... |
| Cool stuff. I've honestly never felt a dull moment with Magi, and I'm glad that Ohtaka isn't going to drag it out. Out of all the other long running shounens, Magi probably takes the cake in my book. Here's hoping to a great ending. |

Season 3 could do the 200s. Season 4 could do a 12 ep series doing for example chapters 300-350.... if not a 25 episode series doing for example 300-400. Depends on when the manga ends. 2 cours - 25 episodes. |

| i'm not sure how I feel about this. I've fallen out with the series evident by how many chapters I haven't read and the story did get weaker but on the other hand, it doesn't feel like it should end at this point. |

I don't think though that a new adaption would make thinks better since a big reason for being terrible was probably the source itself.
