the ancient weapons have rarely been mentioned so i wonder how they're gonna be used for the New World and who's gonna use them, Doflamingo? Blackbeard???

Speaking of ancient weapons, wondering how much of a threat "Uranus" is.

Pluton is some sort of ancient battleship capable of erasing an island with one shot according to Crocodile.

Poseidon poses a big threat to both the lands and seas dues to the huge amount of sea kings both in calm belt and across the globe. One command from Shirahoshi and it's the end of the world lol ( if ever she gets controlled or something).

I was thinking if the destruction of First / Second / Third island from Film Z might be the " Uranus " or perhaps the Gura Gura no mi as WB was " the man who can destroy the world" when he still has the fruit / is still alive.

"Joy Boy"? "One Piece"? Maybe the answer to all of the mysteries is actually back at the gay island...

Actually, I found the "reveal" to be a let-down both in the anime and in the manga. The Sea Kings are big and all that, but consider - everyone uses them for food, even in the party in this episode. So they aren't that big a deal.

To be fair, Sea King =/= sea monster.

Also, Poseidon's scary as hell because she's the "queen" of all Sea Kings, meaning that every one of them will potentially do what she says. If every Sea King in the OP world were to form an army, I can guarantee they'd be superior to anything the WG can come up with.
Yeah, and there is a reason that the Marines have to use a special lining on their ship to get through the Calm Belt. There's many types of Sea Kings... and I don't think they're all sentient. For instance the one Shanks saved Luffy from didn't seem very intelligent, while the ones who grabbed the ship obviously were. Also there's the fact that these (and probably others) are like the size of 3 mountains.

My post is the sum of the gyojin-to arc. I'm assuming this is the end or very close to the end.

Most ridiculous arc. Hordy has to be the most pointless villan in the whole of One Piece, yes he tops the pointlessness of Enel.

The only good thing is the revealing of the crew's abilities. Zoro is an amazing swordsman with haki now (nothing new with his awesomeness); Brook's musical abilities can now be applied in a fight and he can control his soul; I can't believe Chopper actually mastered that monster; Robin can make clones and body parts other than hands; Franky is like a pacifista now; Sanji can freaking fly; Nami can properly control the weather; and Ussop is well Ussop, he's gotten a lot better.
Oh, one big question. Why is everyone suddenly on fire? Somehow Ace's fruit has transfered to everyone. I have no idea how Sanji lit up completely or how Luffy's hand caught on fire... underwater..? An explanation would be nice.

Jimbei's promise to join the crew once he has finished his duties was a really nice touch to end Jimbei's part in the story, I really hope we get to see more of him.

We learnt more about the void history and the poneglyphs. I can't believe Shirohoshi is one of the weapons. I thought she had the king's haki or something but she is the weapon Poseidon? That's really cool.

A lot of intros into haki have been made in this arc and it shows the preparation and improvement of the straw hats for the new world. Looking forward to the next arc which I've heard very good reviews about.
Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!

Ok so...
Jimbei will be a Straw Hat in the future... Nice :)
Zoro defines "hero" as Luffy, that was pretty funny...
and the most important part is that Shirahoshi is the ancient weapon Poseidon. So they are other ancient weapons like Pluton, all named after ancient Greek gods... Are they 12 as well???? That's very intriguing... I thought there was only one. We still don't know who Joy Boy was and what Noah ship is meant for. I am sure we will find out after 500 episodes :P

Something bothering occurred to me. IF Shirahoshi gets kidnapped and they need someway to rescuing her, is it possible they would use Vander Decken's (like releasing him) power to do it (like tracking her down to see where she would be taken)?

So, on the more trivial note, the guy who kidnapped the mermaids left them since he stole the treasure which was worth more than selling mermaids.... and escaped....... but how???? O___o They're 10k feet underwater lol. With no one to coat ships cuz the whole country was in an uproar :|

Hope they explain this soon/later.

They need to catch the guy. His long tongue is creepy D':

Nice to see everyone unwind after the big battle

And the big reveal at the end was something, was thinking she'd say Pluton but said Poseidon then I was like of course she'd say Poseidon it's to do with an underwater fish island duh

It's times like these where the Straw Hats really feel like actual pirates!
Love how Luffy and Zoro were so adamant about not being dubbed as heroes XD

So we finally got clarification that Shirahoshi's ability makes her one of the ancient weapons- "Poseidon", which was pretty much a given anyway.
Definitely curious about Joyboy though...it seems the more answers we get, the more questions arise when it comes to the void century.

Seems Oda can't make his mind if the ancient weapons go with the Greek Mythology's names (Poseidon) or Roman's (Pluto).

Also, I would like to point out that they are all feasting on wet food and meat.

One Piece has a nasty habit of dragging things out between episodes, and this episode is an example of that, but the ending was really interesting.

I love how the story comes together so slowly over time, nearly 600 episodes in and Robin is still finding new things to explain and work out, it really is amazing story telling and character building.

Before I go onto this episode, someone last episode or so was saying that blood loss being used is somewhat a plot device. That Luffy lost more blood in Alabasta and this never occurred, rather the blood is being used to bridge a new age of fishman and human. Yet, I sincerely love realistic ramifications to danger in One Piece. I remember getting chills when we had Robin completely frozen and everyone rushed her to save her, they had to dethaw her slowly and carefully but fast enough that she wouldn't have intense frostbite. It was horrifying. Then Akainu literally fried Ace's internal organs from the inside, in him was just mush. Moments like those add a new layer to the danger of One Piece, and normally I admit it's mostly Zoro who holds pain consistently through arcs. Mihawk slash impacted Arlong, he will lose swords and have to get more, he will take on Luffy's pain from Kuma and then be a shell of his former skill going forward due to how he can barely hang on. Zoro embodies carrying past pain along with him, but normally this kind of thing is somewhat rare. Yet, in this arc we had Sanji need a blood transfusion as did we see Luffy needed one, so maybe this could be an indicator that those realistic and scary ramifications of violence will continue. Or it could just be used when it's narratively useful, not that it's necessarily a bad thing to do it that way!

Jimbei is in a Vivi situation. He has responsibilities that hold him back, he's not free like the Straw Hats. But, one day when he is, he will join up with the Straw Hats and that's a promise! Very cool.. Imagine if the final two Straw Hats are Jimbei and Vivi, assuming that the Sunny doesn't count although seeing how we had a large part of Water 7 dedicated to the Merry being a crew member a part of me thinks Jimbei is the final Straw Hat and the Sunny counts. Jimbei put it good, and I love how everyone was all for it. They saw the kind of man Jimbei is, the regret he felt over Arlong, how he fought alongside them, and how he saved Luffy's life without hesitation. But most of all, they saw how much Luffy loves Jimbei!! It was so nice to see everyone standing by Luffy's decision. Franky put it well, they know how much Luffy likes him so they'll wait for him too!

I loved seeing Zoro say near verbatim Luffy's logic on not wanting to be a hero when he wasn't there to hear it. These two are made for each other!!!

So, the slave humans were set free by Neptune and the fishman district criminals are now forced to serve time under the Neptune army and live in the public. Fishman district is closed. Neptune single handedly solved the problem of retributive justice, lol! I hope we see Wadatsumi again one day, assuming he doesn't go back to save Decken which he'd probably fail at, he now is a rogue with no leader. Seeing what comes of him should be great. I also wonder if Neptune will successfully reform Hordy and his officers.

The celebration went on a bit long, I admit, but it was fun and the crew deserves some celebration time. It seems the part of being a hero Luffy doesn't like is being treated so highly, as long as the end of it is having a big banquet all is well. Nami out drinking Fukuboshi, Zoro got all the sake in the world, Brook and Sanji got to celebrate with pretty mermaids, Luffy got to eat lots of meat, Chopper got tons of treats like the kid he is, they deserved this! But more interestingly it lead to more talk about Joy Boy. Honestly, as interesting as this ancient weapon story is, and as cool as it is to be spread across the tangible world we experience, it's so spread apart I forget everything about it constantly excluding the blank century. At some point I need to compile all I know about it to keep track of it and build on it as I learn more.

For now, Joy Boy was an above-ground person living during the blank century 800 years ago, he left an apology to the last mermaid princess who could control sea kings as he didn't fulfil a promise, a promise Neptune doesn't know. Still, someone will come and fulfil the promise on behalf of Joy Boy one day. This man coming to fulfil the promise needs the Noah so the royal family has taken care of it since. On Skypiea apparently the Poneglyph that Roger was involved with stated that one of the ancient weapons was on this island, and Robin deducted that the ancient weapon was the mermaid princess from the blank century. However, now that she was been reborn in the form of Shirahoshi, Shirahoshi will take over the name.. The name of Posiedon. We can presume the person coming to fulfil the promise would need Shirahoshi so I'd say it'll come sooner than later. Now, if only I could remember all the other information we got on the ancient weapons. If anything it definitely feels like the most coherent narrative being told throughout the entirety of One Piece, probably as the thing that will all come together to finish the series off..

I'm glad that everyone is getting some downtime. King Neptune was hilarious this episode, from being all sad about being ignored and acting all bashful around Robin. It's nice to hear a bit more about the void century and ancient weapons. Shirahoshi might play a massive role in the endgame of One Piece. I'm excited!

As uneventful as it was plot-wise, the Straw Hats deserved all the fun and food they can get after all this.

Jimbei, you should know that I'm waiting to watch the moment where you join the crew so badly now!

Joy Boy being the person who made the Poneglyphs was a huge revelation. I expected him to be old like Rayleigh but the guy was actually born in the Void Century, bruh.

Loved this episode. I was so glad the Strawhats decided to stay and party with the royal family etc, rather than do a runner just for the sake of it. Kanpai-jamon!!

I didn’t think Jinbei would join the crew.. He seems too experienced and a bit of an OG compared to the rest of the Mugiwaras. He still seems so much stronger and smarter than Luffy. It would be weird seeing him as a subordinate. It’s awesome he agreed to join them in the future though.

Post-battle banquet where we get dumped with interesting new lore and reveals in preparation for the next stage.

I'm one of those who's a bit disappointed Jinbei isn't joining them. However, he didn't outright decline and plans to return in the future. It's probably too early for a new crewmate since it would take away the spotlights from the current members showing their strength in the New World.

Should've realised that Shirahoshi with the power that had been said to end the world was likely to be considered an Ancient Weapon. So after all this build up though is she what Pluton was intended to be built for? The weapon that was intended to likely be able to take down multitudes of Sea Kings if required?

Zoro once again proving he is the perfect right-hand for Luffy. Neither want to be heroes because they don't want to share their meat/sake xD

This is episode was great. It would not be an end of an arc without a party. All the straw hats were in peak form.

Was little surprise Jinbe not joining now. I guess he will later at some point.

But some great lore with my girl Robin. The princess being the weapon is wild. But controlling the sea kings are powerfull. She seems like she will be big endgame. The prophecy seems to be pointing towards her and Luffy. The boat is the only thing I’m not sure. I feel like it might save some country one day when everyone gets on it. Rather that be Fishman island or something else
