Wooo! I'm glad about the con and I'll keep watching One Piece. So far they only just submerged under water and seeing everyone get back together again was so awesome <3

Still angsting over it. xD

One Piece's character tragedies are currently ruining my life atm; just thought I'd drop by to say that. xD

I just finished pre-time skip aaaaaaa!!!! I'm so happy, One Piece is so great and I feel I hit a landmark..

Cons are so fun! Expect tons of cool merch, both from artists who make their own stuff and from people selling official merchandise. Lots of cool cosplays and great people... and panels you can learn about and go sit in on. Maybe even concerts and raves.. And game rooms!

But the big thing for me is buying super cool stuff (this year I bought a bunch of manga, a giant stuffed-animal cat, and some One Piece figures and some pins from the anime Kaiji), seeing and meeting tons of cosplayers and seeing my friends.

I recommend you look everywhere and search all the bargain bins, you can find some of the cooolest stuff where you least expect it.

Yeah!! The merch is amazing. :) And all the awesome cosplays! If you can go with friends its such a fun and amazing experience, but it's good even without.

Since it seems my friend stopped reading One Piece, it's harder for me to make time. :( It was easy to read a chapter a day alongside her so I could fully understand her thoughts!

My anime con was amazing!! It's always one of my favorite days of the year. You should definitely try to make it to one. I got the first three volumes there and two One Piece figures, a Luffy and Bon Clay to represent Impel Down!

I fully agree that Skypiea is the weakest arc actually! Me and my friend and another friend have all spoken about how it was the most disappointing for us but that's exactly why I'm excited to read it with new eyes. To see it again now that my views on One Piece have grown, to see if I appreciate it more now! :D

No problem by the way. Since I'm reading One Piece with a friend and she's slowed down I haven't been reading One Piece at the moment. I do however have an anime con in a few days and I'll be grabbing a handful of the manga volumes there so I'll read through that even if my friend doesn't continue One Piece.

One big thing I noticed was that I thought the backstories were placed far better in the anime! In the manga we see the backstories then learn who the characters are, but in the anime we get to know the characters then understand why they are the way they are. However, it's totally a preference thing.

As for how it feels to read the manga, I agree. :) It's cool to see them back at their earliest. I'm enjoying the early moments far more than I did on my first watch too because I can pick up on many more details and understand why the characters act as they do better!

I look forward to reliving the moments that are foggy in my mind, like, honestly all from skypeia and before. :>

Fate would have us start the manga at the same time!!! :D hehehe. I just hit the Marineford post-war arc so I'd like if you could keep spoilers past that away from me but I would love to talk One Piece with you!
