This episode was filled with so much win-win. The director storming Nogame's office reminded me of Cowboy Bebop. I love how they were able to resolve both the final episode's direction as well as Nogame's inner demons simultaneously at the meeting. The sheer amount of absurdity that went into this was pure gold.

Zuka's situation really resonated to me and I felt for her as an actor. That's why I was all the happier when she finally landed a role. Aoi's reaction to watching Zuka finally take her first major step as a seiyuu left me speechless. The double meaning behind her lines made it all the more moving, especially how "I'm one step closer to my dream" applied to Catherine's sister, Shizuka, and the five friends in Shirobako.

I always thought Zuka would be involved with the project eventually if one of the other Seiyuu had an accident or declining the job, but creating an entire new character by the director and author was really cool

There were certainly great scenes and the best one was Aoi getting emotional after Zuka has voiced Lucy

I was really surprised when Zuka-chan didn't get the role for Catherine since everyone else was pretty much a part of the anime.

It was just so nice when Kantoku and Author-sama created the little sister char and when Zuka-chan got the role, was just like "oof."

Kantoku once again proves why he's best char of the series!

In my case it hit me before hand, the moment there was a talk about new character appearing out of sudden.

There was an obvious follow up after that but when it happened, probably first time since about a year or two I cried on anime scene. I do get teary from time to time but for tears to actually flow out for three minutes, it's really been a year or two. This is also not only on anime but also generally crying at all.

It's good to know that I still have emotions like that.

Now it's time to cry as there is only one episode left!

For reasons of time has accelerated somewhat over time, but in the end the entry of Zuka-chan, it seemed natural and consistent with the objectives both of which Kinoshita Nogame, to give a final that would give satisfaction to the audience and that go in the direction indicated by the latter. The return of Shizuka was almost a thing separated from the main context, very obvious in a way, for us the public, but logical when viewed from the role of director. Interesting storytelling, especially when the context is analyzed other animated adaptations of Nogami, in which the directors were unable or unwilling to understand the ideas of the master. I thought you could give more space to that topic, but that's okay. Who knows what awaits me in the final, I hope will be a great final because so far the series has been well done in many ways; fingers crossed.

Very poignant tears of Aoi and the expression of Zuka-chan, it was all so natural and made in terms of the drawings so amazing.

The moment when Aoi realized that Shizuka is the one who is going to be doing that part... I knew the feels were coming. It didn't make me cry, but I was about to. This show is so real, it sucks you into that reality. It was a great ride, and now I don't want to watch the episode 24, I don't want it to end. :(

This almost felt like ending.

Aah, the moment you realize those dialogues Zuka was saying while voicing Lucy also applies to her life.
And Aoi's silent tears of joy for her were just the best climax this episode could ask for. Excellent work!

The rest of this episode and especially Aria's finding of her own reason for life is also something very familiar (not only) to her. I like how there were several layers of meanings in some dialogues, really clever writing.

Lucy's phrase about being one step closer to her dream said by Zuka-chan fits perfectly.
She finally got a role and Director said out loud that she was his second option. This will surely boost Zuka-chan's self-esteem!

(Director's Western scene was glorious.)

Best episode. 6/5

This anime's just filled with characters trying to piss you off. Taro, hiraoka, nogame's retarded editor.

In other stories, manga artists always seemed to be pushovers, but in here they become god. Oh lol it seems like the editor was pulling stuff behind their backs.

Being Shizuka wasn't as suffering as I thought!! So happy for her. Tears of happiness.

i really like how Aoi straight up cries really hard, instead of giving Shizuka a happy teary-eyed smile or something. it really showed how much seeing her friend get a role means to Aoi. she was so overwelmed by emotions and just couldn't hold it in. bursting into uncontrollable tears, because of how happy you are for your friend. 10/10

That was...beautiful, truly beautiful. I began grinning when I realized Zuka was gonna voice Catherine's sister, but the actual scene was so emotionally powerful. This is my first time post.

I was prepared for emotional scene after Aoi realised Zuka got her chance...but I never thought they going to made it this way...the way they portrait Aoi's emotion was so natural...I was so moved. Totally far exceed my expectation.

I also want to emphasize how hard to become seiyuu in Japan. It like becoming a singer, many people struggling so hard but still may never become one...but now Zuka got her debut...no doubt Aoi was so happy about it.

Best episode yet.
Loved the director's development as he takes charge to stand for what he believes is best for the viewers and his team. Love how he and the author connected over the story -- shows how passionate they are as creators.
My favorite part though was how Zuka landed the role when she least expected it. "I am now one step closer to my dream" -- that made me tear up as Aoi was full fledge crying at how moving and true that was. Glad to see all the girls working hard no matter how many setbacks or internal turmoils come their way; this show is truly inspiring in that sense!

I liked when the director and manga creator comes to mutual understanding. Thats how you make a perfect adaptation anime.

I didnt expect that Shizuka will finally have a role in this episode but I also like the alternate direction where she didnt get a role is good too.

I have seen enough masterpiece anime so this episode, i cant say its best but likeable in very good way.

I am ready for the final episode.

This was all I needed like this could have been the finale. I'm glad it wasn't I'm actually pretty sad I'm almost done with this show but it could have been. For starters I was hoping from the start we'd get a scene with Nogame-sensei (er...san) by the end. It would have felt beneath the show to just have him be some unseen, impossible to please obstacle the entire time he needed some depth. We get that early on when Hiraoka explains why he's been such a pain. One of his previous works got a lazy terrible anime adaptation and it reflected poorly on him as a creator. So after that hilarious scene in which he appears in one of the mascot asides as literal God stopping production the Director goes to finally have his fateful sit down with him.

This scene was just plain triumphant. The beginning was gleefully goofy, from the Director ably aping Clint Eastwood as he marches into the building, to his using belly based fighting moves to repel those who try to stop him. His sit down with Nogame was also more quietly exciting. It did a good job of outlining Aerial Girls Squad as a personal work for both of them and the conclusion they reach of how to end it felt natural and clever. I also liked that the editor got his just desserts. Not a huge problem or anything, but I was kind of curious for an explanation for how terrible he's been. Did he just have contempt for the studio or was he lazy? Probably lazy, that's the vibe I got.

Most exciting for me though was Zuka finally and unexpectedly getting her big break. I like all five of the girls, but like many viewers Zuka's constant frustrations made me extremely sympathetic to the character. When Nogame said he wanted to add another character, I can't be the only one who snapped at attention, the final piece falling in place. It was a heart string tugging big moment to end the episode on. All five girls have contributed to a single production, all is right with the world. I'm sure Aoi wasn't the only one with tears in her eyes, as Zuka happily chirps her character's line that she's closer to her dream. I also thought maybe it's just me but it seemed to mirror the plot of the anime they're working on. Ultimately Aria seems to recall Miyamori as both of their main conflicts is coming up with a reason to do what they're doing. But the Director's insistence that fans wouldn't be happy with the heroine just failing and never flying again, seemed to reflect Zuka's arc perfectly.

As everything has been relatively righted, and we enter the home stretch I find one of the things I'm most excited for in the finale is seeing all the girls celebrating together as the series that they've all worked on closes. This shows going to have a hard time, giving even a small moment to all of its many characters but it's a tightrope act I'm eager to see.

-Director's not picking up again, just like for the Exodus afterparty, although this time the calls are actually plot-relevant
-Man I was just getting used to not having to listen to Chazawa for a few episodes
-This guy is legitimately infuriating
-MusAni pres gives a talk to director
-Did they not think to scan the printed emails for Nogame's direct contact information before?
-Am I... watching the right show anymore?
-Wait, the journey to Nogame was real? It was pretty nicely animated but it just felt so out of place.
-Nogame seems a hell of a lot more reasonable than the goons under him
-Oh well that's why he seemed that way
-Pretty satisfying to see Chazawa get yelled at by Nogame
-The instant they mentioned needing a voice actor for Lucy that somewhat resembled Catherine but sounded younger I got goosebumps
-Yeah there was like no way they weren't using Shizuka for that part
-Aww, the recording studio scene was all kinds of adorable
-Roro and Mimuji are the focus of the ED, with a different anime club group shot at the end

Lovely episode. I enjoyed pretty much every single thing about this episode, although the Director's march to Nogame was kind of out of place.

That was amazing writting right here.

"A young girl gets her first minor voice acting role" ... how did they make thousands of people cry with just that?

The way it has been executed is a real proof of talent.

It's probably easier to make people cry when two personns finally fall in love, get reunited, get saved or when someone die in an anime, but not so easy when it's "just" about getting a job.

and I (we) broke in tears too.

all the details are right. It's so perfect it works and it's amazing.
