| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was dramatic. Seems like Birk and Ronja are rebuilding their friendship again which is something I welcome. Also found some of the spiritual creatures of this series to be quite fascinating. It looks like she and Birk will be on their own adventures now. Cool. |

| This episode has the most melancholic atmosphere so far, as an offshoot of the drama that unfolded two episodes ago. Ironically, I also found it to be the funniest since episodes 8 and 13. I’m glad Ronja’s aim was good and that stone did not hit Joen’s face. XD Mattis looks like a mess. I was hoping to see the scene where he rides out into the night. Next episode perhaps? Those murktrolls that Birk mentioned in passing finally appeared. Certainly looks... cuter than your typical troll. The scene where they reminded Ronja of home was pretty sad (my, she hasn’t been gone for more than a few hours yet!) |

| Again so much more flowing than the movie! Her excitement about leaving and then her looking so sad when thinking about home is just. . . . Gyaaaaaaaa~~! I am really looking forward to seeing how they are gonna pace the rest of it now! Up until the last episode I've been pretty spot on with my guessing of what's gonna happen when, but now. . . No real clue how they're gonna do it! Looking forward to it! |

| From zombie Mattis to Ronja going away. The change in the mood is done really well! Those sad expressions Ronja makes when she is on her bed T.T How she caressed her mother's hair and saying all those stuff with that tone... Willing to leave all these precious things behind :(, Mattis being like that is really taking a toll on her. Can't say enough how I am really vulnerable to scenes like these, showing strength and being able to smile despite the situation she is in. Great episode! Looking forward to more Birk and Ronja :) |

| I agree, it was definitely a melancholy episode :( it was emotional when Ronja left, saying goodbye to her sleeping mother, her farewell talk with the two watchers...especially when they asked her about her father, and she replied, "do I have a father?" This is way too sad. And then as she was walking through the forest towards her destination, she could only keep thinking about her father and the lessons he gave her. She's matured a lot I think, or she always had the capability to be. Ronja loves her parents, but I'm surprised that she could make such a decisive choice so quickly to leave and be on her own with Birk. At that age, even if my home wasn't the happiest, I don't think that would've ever crossed my mind. Though of course the situations are different and she does have more experience of being out in her world. Anyways, I guess it wasn't too entirely heartbreaking because Ronja did say that if her mother ever wants to see Ronja, Undis can just go visit Ronja in the forest anytime. It's not a forever thing. Why do these episodes go by so quickly? When Ronja and Birk were eating in the cave and it zoomed out, I was like, noooo don't tell me it's the end of the episode already!!! Well, looking forward to the adventures of Birk and Ronja ^^ |

| Was happy to hear Birk whistle again. Even if their situation implies challenges in the near future, moving out allowed to get rid of most of the tension of the previous episodes. Didn't feel like melancholy to me, more like moving on. Things are looking up. |

| The quality this episode outweighed the bird crap porridge and zombie Mattis at the start. Murktrolls are the best part of this show. |
