A person is innocent to the world at that point, especially Chaika, who is essentially a child in terms of real-world experience. Your argument makes no sense, as even in medieval times, grown men didn't fall in love with young, innocent girls. They were married for economic reasons, not some fantasy-inspired love. Edit: What I mean to say is Chaika needs an older-brother figure to guide and protect her, not a romantic partner, at least not yet. I think Toru is perfect for that role as a brother-figure. |

It would be weird seeing Toru crushing on a young girl. Most of the Toru x Chaika shippers don't realize just how far apart they are in age. I see Chaika having a crush on the MC, which is fine, as long as Toru doesn't take it any further. Not trying to be the moral police, just that the entire relationship would feel forced and weird if it did happen. Just one of those cases where I hope the MC really is just dense and stays that way. Edit: By the way, I don't support any of the ships in the series. I love the yandere gag with Akari and Chaika has insanely kawaii moments, but I'd rather they just stay that way and concentrate on the plot. |
