They don't seem to be intent on bridging the gap here, so knowledge of the games or sengoku history would be needed for knowing the details. As you said, Inahime has married the elder brother (Sanada Nobuyuki) during the time-skip. Now, it wasn't really explicit shown in the special, but by defying Tokugawa, the Sanada brothers came to join with the camp of the powerful warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Toyotomi then went on to battle with Tokugawa which resulted in a stalemate and then an eventual truce and alliance. Thus, at this point in episode one, Tokugawa is in alliance with Toyotomi (Tokugawa in the subservient role), and the Sanada brothers are also serving the Toyotomi. |
| Hmm that was pretty good! I haven't even played the game and I like it. That makes it easier to understand! Omg so many characters to keep track of =_= I'm glad they don't make the horses die. Happy about that just like in the prequel special. That princess has a whip sword yusssss immediate bad**s. The weapons are pretty cool! lol a lacrosse stick? :p lolwut Sengoku Musou high school?? O_o |

| Sengoku Musou already start the story on united land of japan. I also had the Samurai Warriors 4 on PS4 there are some similarity on the story. |

| Comments made: Wow, they managed to conjure up a catchy OP, I'm impressed... one thing though... WHERE IS NAOTORA?! We've got nearly everyone, heck even the Hojo and that new character, Naomasa appeared but not Naotora, urgh... I'll be very disappointed if she doesn't appear. What the heck is Ieyasu's son doing here, I dont think he was in the game... nah, he definitely wasn't in the game... as a playable character that is, maybe a NPC but wth. The anime itself is eh... okay I guess, I mean, the action is not One Punch Man or Kill la Kill level but it's entertaining, which is good enough for me. |
