| If you could even remember, what was the very first bara manga/doujin/etc. you've ever read and how did you get into this fabulous genre? For me, it was "Judo Boy" by Kowmeiism. Since I found it in full color, it caught my eye and I immediately read it in one go. It's a tad bit shota, but there's a lot of muscle to distinguish it as bara. :P As for when, I really don't know, haha! I was... young. Ahem. Honestly, I think it was the first form of manga I've ever read; I didn't even really know what manga in general meant at the time! Eventually, I literally read just about every bara manga I could find and feeling the need to read more, I had to be less picky and venture into yaoi... for girls (which was hard for me!). I hesitated at first, but it grew on me which surprisingly helped in finding even more bara! Fastforward to today and I get a good mix of manservice in my manga-reading life with bara as my main forte. ♥ |

| I know that Ashita mo Koko de Aou by Uchida Kaoru and Cold Rain of Happiness by Hibakichi were among the first ones, though I don't remember which one was the actual first (maybe a third one I don't remember at all...). I got curious about these sexy muscular men and started to look for the genre and then I read a lot from mostly Matsuzaki Tsukasa and Matsu Takeshi. I can't stop since then. :) |

| I believe my first BARA manga was Naruto doujinshi by Takeshi Matsu. I think it's called Real Talent or Natural Talent or something like that. :t How did I get into bara? I loved yaoi. I loved Shikamaru. I loved Asuma. I loved Shikamaru and Asuma. Therefore i found Natural Talent dj. When I saw that it's got amazing art, I searched for more Takeshi Matsu mangas. And here I am. |

| I really can't recall. I think it might be either Priapus by Mentaiko or Saigo no Sangatsu by Tsukumo Gou. And yea, Mentaiko is my favorite as well. His character design looks super hot. Though Tsukumo Gou shotas are awesome as well :D |

| I'm not sure which one it was, but I thought it was one of Takeshi Matsu or Mentaiko Itto's work. Well, I was really happy when in was printed in English that I directly bought it. I was really shocked when I read bara for the first time. I sat their with my mounth open and shocked, I searched for more. Well, everyone knows how difficult it is to find bara on the net. |

| I remember my "first bara" if I could call it that was about guys hooking up in public bathrooms in Japan, I think it was by Gengoroh Tagame. I was like "wtf"? The rawness shocked me so much I didn't finish it, shame on me. As for the first bara I read and I actually liked was itai ITAI itai by Mentaiko because it actually had a plot and not only smut, I felt for the character's struggle. Tabun Sore ga Love Nanjanakarou ka was pretty good but not as much as itai ITAI itai. Oh yeah, I also read a doujinshi with Doflamingo x Crocodile by the doujinshi circle Lovely Hollow, it was under bara so I think it counts. I also love Naono Bohra's older ukes and younger semes, her art shows men with muscular bodies so I consider it more bara than yaoi. Can somebody recommand me a bara like itai ITAI itai that actually has some story and not just smut? |

My first Bara manga was "Katsu" by Jiraiya when I was 16. I was so excited that day 'cause I could find manga that fitted my sexual preferences. I ended up reading a lot more from Jiraiya's fantastic work and that's how I am a big Bara fan now :) ♥ |
