| As we all know we're fan of Gurren Lagann, but there are a lot of anime which are so good and we like them so much that we suggest them to our friends. A good idea could be to write a little text on the plot and the reasons why we like it, and then maybe we could watch it together and open a specific topic on that anime. The first anime suggest you is Azumanga Daioh. Azumanga is based on everyday life, and on relationships amongst the main characters. It's almost incredible to think that everyday stuff could be so fun... i think this is the secret of this anime: the simplicity of the gags. It belongs to school/commedy genre, but unlikely other animes there is no boring romanticism, and jokes aren't banal but unlike other animes |

| Eureka Seven! Definitely my favorite anime, and has somewhat the same content as TTGL (multiple romantic stories, mechs with power equal to your mental state, great art, few fillers) Just give it a try, i bet that if you're even half as romantic as me, you'll get hooked.. |

| For fans of Azumanga, my votes go out to Pani Poni Dash and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Pani Poni is basically Azumanga with the insanity turned on full blast. Zetsubou Sensei is fairly similar, only the humor is less "wtf crazy" and more "I kinda wanna cry while I'm laughing so hard..." Both fantastic high-school based comedy series. |

| If you're talking Azumanga-style comedy, you should also check out Lucky Star. Never seen so many hilarious things delivered with a straight face as in the show. Also, it'd be pretty cool to see full power Nono going up against the Chouginga Gurren Lagann. Dunno if she could handle the Tengen Toppa though... always did think TTGL was like FLCL meets Diebuster. |
