----------------------------------------
That guy came to Koume's house and said he's going to propose her tomorrow! He was blobbing about himself and mentioned about Koume in baseball team, which her father realized it now. (So her parents know now.)

Her father's angry at her about lying at him.

Akiko has a fever? and she didn't come to the school. Even Akiko house is weird. It turns out that her mother closed her. With a judo person in front of her room! Matsusaka, the driver, is willing to help her getting Akiko out! They were able to get to the game on time!

The girls are doing well, but one of the guys realized Akiko's skill.

Next Ep. is the final ep!

First half of the episode was very enjoyable... the second half, not so much. I can't believe the cherry blossom team can score so easily while their male counterparts suck so much. Sorry, you cannot become an all star sport player in a few months, and I assume the male team members have been playing baseball all their lives. It's just not possible. Also, anyone who has seen professional baseball matches know how hard it is to even get to the first base; it's easy to catch a flying ball (and that equals automatic out). Even if you screwed up, passing a baseball is much faster than running to a base, so chances are, the first base will catch the ball before you even arrive. It just seems too unbelievable for me, and I feel like I'm watching some shounen anime where the good guy gets super power-ups just because he has extreme determination.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I beg to disagree...
Just because they're girls, they're fit to lose because they're fighting with guys? :'/
It may be unbelievable, but these things could happen too.
The girls' team rely so much at the things they're good at.
Tomoe's really good at hitting the ball.
Koucho's a fast runner.
Koume has the knack to know the weakness of the batter.
Akiko learnt the "magic throw" and they're making real good use for it.
They also have a tactician in their team, which makes their team more tactful than going head on knowing full well it's not easy to defeat guys who've known the game for all their lives.
So as long as they know the rules, and they know which is best for them to do, they're either bound to win or lose.
And seems like in the beginning of their play, the guys seem to think that "they're mere girls, of course it's impossible to lose" even though they may seem nonchalant about it. So the direction of the wind seems to go the girls' way at this point of their game.

Besides, the thing about Akiko's throws...when they think the throw's going for a ball, it's actually still in the box, that's why they're losing miserably in the beginning...but only time will tell if they'll (guys) get over this and change the tide sooner or later.
I feel as though our fave girls will still lose, since the guys finally found out the girls' secret.

Anyways...I just hope Koume's parents finally understands her and would not let her stop playing baseball. I mean, if I was in her shoes, I'd so defy my parents if they told me "not to play it ever again." lawl x'3

No, it doesn't. Real life doesn't work like shounen anime, where all the main characters need to win are "inspirations and determination". The boys have been training and exercising since they were kids. The girls couldn't even run up until high school because running was considered vulgar (shown in the first episode). So the anime is telling me that with a few months of "running", their running skills are up to match with the boys'? I guess if I start training real hard, I'll be able to sprint in the Olympics, eh?

What I'm saying is not that they can't be successful because they're girls, but what I am saying is that there is no way anyone can become THAT strong and athletic in a matter of months (or even a few years).

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

It's anime, don't read too much into it. The reason why the creators made them lead by a bit in the first place was to get their spirits up and show the boys that they've been working hard for this day.

By the end, they figured out their plan, so the boys are going to pull their own tricks now. So basically it's a battle of wits from now on and both teams are going to be giving it their all.

Would you rather have them getting pwned and then suddenly winning? I'm not saying that they'll definitely win the next episode, but dropping defenses early on (as they only scored in the bottom of the first inning) is seemingly natural. Either way, it makes things interesting.

That's exactly all the point of the anime: girls CAN beat guys if they train enough and analyze the game properly. Especially at a time when very few baseball techniques were invented and knowledge about the game was extremely slim and definitely not expanded to every team and player (no TV, few newspapers and good coaches to analyse it properly). Physical ability doesn't make everything in sports (the example that you took is irrelevant since a team and strategy-based sport such as baseball can't be compared with a physical ability-based sports such as athletics, much less technical and with virtually no strategy - I played 10 years of soccer at an inter-regional level, so I can tell that at least), as you can see that the boys are much, much better athletes but still manage to lose for the moment because they underestimate their opponents (fatal error) and aren't as technically and strategically prepared as the girls. Believe me, it's a very credible and perfectly acceptable script.

Well, apart from that, it was a very good episode, well-developped, interesting and with a very nice second half of baseball playing.

THANK YOU.
This is what I'm trying to say.
The game isn't just about knowing who's more fit; the girls may not be as athletic and experienced as the guys are...but they know which strings to pull to find a way to score.

Don't sweat the small stuff.. it was awesome to see how all the girls' training paid off! So cool how Kochou as first batter ZOOOOMED right to the first base there. If I get to see a Tomoe homerun in the last episode, I can diewatch my next series happily and with no regrets!

Yeah, at least they actually go the game off, I didn't think they were going to end up playing.

I'm not surprised they didn't win. However they did make the guys take them seriously, but that was their goal anyhow. Cute show, good mix of comedy and drama. So yeah, they went from being unable to play the game of baseball as a group to being quite good from the looks of it in a matter of months, it is anime after all. And on that note, the opening is <3. 8/10

Nice match this episode. Clearly at this point, the girls have all developed their skills decently and they deserve a high-5!

The score doesn't matter, I think the girls have already won. They got Asaka to actually rethink their strategy and that says a lot.

Takahara's is quite bold to tell her father he'll be hooking up with Koume.

MVP goes to Matsukaza. Hilarious how he managed to get the judo guy to leave the room lol
And then Akiko ignores him but then thanks him afterward. Aww.

Koume's quite in a predicament. Tough issues with her father who at this point is no longer viewing her as a daughter and then there's the fiance. I'm surprised he didn't get fired on the spot.

So Koumes father has finally learned the truth, wonder if he comes to terms with her liking for baseball and how the match is going to conclude.

Matsukaza was hilarious, tho, this show never fails to be amusing.

The comments above about the girl's team not possibly being able to win are dumb. The boys aren't a professional baseball team. They're only a junior high team, so they've only possibly been playing since elementary school. I've been to beer leagues where adult teams are decent, and the players had only played some baseball years before, or not at all! Getting to first base is NOT that hard. I think it is completely reasonable that a girl's team, even while most of them have never heard of baseball, can learn skills within a year that can match a boy's team. The point of the show is that they're dedicated to win, they have a goal, and they're passionate about the game and really believe in their team mates abilities!
