Even so, this anime isn't a stupid internet meme. You clearly didn't appreciate all the religious symbolism and innovative incorporation of Western music in this anime that is truly like no other. The storytelling is really subtle, so it took me a few rewatches to catch everything that was going on. I'm just going to assume you didn't watch the English version which was handled much better, IMO. Honestly, though, anime like this really isn't for everyone. |

| This OVA had a lot of potential. And I know its in 1989 but I think the dubbing would have been done better. And did I just saw twin brothers kiss each other???? Phil Colllins songs are of course a big plus. Anyway... 6/10 |

| This is actually well done once you read the manga. Like those MTV shows about celebrities, except about a fictional character. Against All Odds really fits the theme, and the Lets Hear It For The Boy music video was fun to watch. The only bad thing about the OVA is Cipher's voice actor. But fuck that, this is glorious. Cipher is actually legitimately good once you read the manga. 10/10 |
